I was plesantly surprised by our visit, I have been to a few ESM over the years and have never been wowed or impressed by food and service, but this location did.
Our server was an absolute delight, she was super nice and had suggestions for everything. Even though she was super busy, she didn’t let it show. She suggested that my spouse and I share our entrees and even brought out extra plates so we could share everything. When they ran out of Italian wedding soup, she brought me out a bowl and told me there was no meat balls left but she cut up a meat ball for me and put it into the soup for me. Really appreciated that gesture, as she didn’t have to do that.
Tried the new in-house made lasagna and loved it, they use fresh pasta in it and it’s just delicious. Really tastes home made.
The one star comments you see here can happen anywhere, any place can have off nights. But from what I could see the entire staff at this ESM was doing their best to make sure everyone had a good evening.

At this moment they had the deal where you can choose an entre to take home with you for free which I think is a great idea.
Basa: it was delicious, I always get the salmon but this time I decided to try the Basa and I have to say it was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and a great balance with the veggies (only wish they could have been a little seasoned)
Peppercorn Alfredo: I've had this before but this time there was something different. It was kind of bland, I couldn't even finish it since I was not satisfied.

Good food, great service and friendly staff. The manager took the time to talk to us while we waited for our table - she was very nice and friendly. We were seated and almost immediately our server came over to take our drink order. Even though the restaurant was busy, our orders were correct and we didn't wait long for food.
What a incredible explosion of flavours! The smell when you first walk in is heavenly! The amount of food that they give you is ridiculous (in a good way). Easily in my top 5 favourite restaurants.
My husband and I ate here today and agreed that it is definitely in our top 3 best meals of our lives. The food is amazing, the sizes are huge (I had the plate and brought home enough leftovers for two lunches) and the staff are friendly. We will be back for sure.

recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was quite impressed with the service. The restaurant was busy on a Thursday night and my large party of 15, with no reservation, was treated with respect and the hostess was very friendly. She was honest with us about the problem of the party size and the time constraint was estimated at 1 hour. The table only took half of the time to get prepared and our server, very nice girl, was efficient and a treat. The food was delicious, as always at these restaurants, and the price was right. Best service that I have had in years and I will now be a regular customer at this location, as it blew the others out of the water! Thoroughly impressed.THE FOOD WAS VERY FANTASTIC

Have been coming here for years with my family. Service has always been fabulous at THIS location. Salad portions getting smaller and smaller, which is a bit of a drag, having to order again.. I have found that the food quality lately has gone down. I do hope it is a temporary thing. Will come back again in a couple of months to verify. It holds a 4 star because it is still such a great family restaurant. #local guide

Luxurious place. The soup is very nice and goes well with the mango sorbet, though I think those much cheaper ones in some pastry stores can be just as good. Certainly the place is worth its price.

Standard East Side Mario’s on the quieter side. Ofcourse half off apps after 9pm is a must! Their wings are always good - changed a little in the past few years but I always get the buffalo. I know they’re there for pasta’s but I’m not a biggest fan. Their pizza is good... everyone likes their Hell’s kitchen chicken (I have no idea if that’s what it’s actually called) but I didn’t like it. I’m usually just their for their apps to be honest :/! Their chicken parmigiana is great!

Great food& friendly staff. Went out for lunch today at east side marios. The service was great! We didn't have to wait long before we got our meals and the food was delicious. I can never get enough of the bread and the salad and you can't go wrong with the funnel cake. Ill be going back soon for sure
GREAT SERVICE & FOOD! :). We went out for a date the other night and chose an old favourite - East sides! We had a great server and even though it was pretty busy, we had her attention the whole time. She suggested money saving options and they tasted delicious! She also made sure that we got everything in order. Usually at restaurants, if we order an appetiser, we receive it and then either get our food right away or we have to wait forever but at east sides it was perfectly timed :) Nice change! definitely going back!
Fast service!. Went with a party of over 15 ppl to this location. The speed of service was impressive for the amount of ppl we were! The food was great too. I would definitely return to this location. The staff were really friendly.

I am always shocked by the number of complainers who cannot spell first of all and who have never worked in a restaurant or the service industry and therefore are clueless as to what it's involved in working in a restaurant or running one. I challenge anyone on here to go to a restaurant when it first opens and have a great experience!! since this restaurant has been opened for awhile now maybe it's time to stop complaining about things that happened 2yrs ago when it was brand new. You will never have a perfect experience everytime you go to a restaurant. This is a chain restaurant. They don't make the recipes up daily and they certainly don't change the portions daily. They are told how big to portion it and that's how big it is. Those students working at those restaurants are doing the best they can to pay for school or rent. If the food isn't great, the server didn't cook it. Make your complaint to a manager but if the service was good, 15% is a MINIMUM tip now. 6% or 8% is not acceptable!! East Side Marios Rocks!!

A little better than OK. First time eating at this particular East Side Mario's and it was a favorable experience (better than the old one on St Joseph's). We were seated quickly and the did not have to wait overly long for our orders. The only complaint I had regarding the food was the salad; it looked like it came from a bag and the bag was out-of-date. Also, I seem to recall that previously the bowl of salad was full, but this time there was barely enough for my husband and I (we had to ask for more), so it seemed that maybe it wasn't only old, but they were maybe running low on it. Weird. The server was friendly and competent and a manager came to our table to see if everything was going well. Maybe we will go back, but probably not soon.
Came to this east sides with my husband and 2 kids. Great service and all our dishes were superb. staff are friendly and knowledgable with the menu. And you can't beat kids eat free Sunday- thursday.. Will be returning!
