We (Ingrid and Ainsley) arrived at Newport at around 10am on a summer Friday morning. We had both been there before (good and bad experiences) but never together for breakfast. We agreed on something simple, fast, and cheap, Ingrid with the "Lover Doll" yogurt parfait and Ainsley with the "Always on my Mind" toast, egg, and sausage breakfast. The yogurt parfait had what looked like a whole tub of yogurt. The fruit, granola, and pecans on top were rather good and made up for it. The $10.00 price made sense though with the load of yogurt in the end. "Always on my Mind" is your typical diner breakfast for $6.65 with a choice of ham, sausage, and bacon. There was a choice of home fries or beans and two eggs of your choice. Sausage was good and the eggs had a nice texture. As for the homefries, they did not have a lot of seasoning except a few burnt onion pieces. All food was reasonably priced.
The atmosphere is a run-down 50's diner with a Elvis Presley theme. (It is the Elvis Presley sight-seeing association- or something like that). All of the dishes are named after Presley's songs. There is a outdoor patio with umbrella's and inside, two different seating areas, one of which has a bar and more tables.
The Newport Restaurant is welcoming, casual and definitely worth coming back for breakfast. I would recommend Friday pizza night or Sunday brunch with your family.

Newport moved one block north from the corner of Churchill and Richmond to the corner of Churchill and Scott and the food is still as good! We had our fav: the medium combination pizza loaded with cheese after starting with a small Greek salad (split 3-ways and we had leftovers). We love the low key, relaxing atmosphere. Moe is always courteous and hands on! They have Keith's on tap and Beau's in bottles.
Great place for pizza. I have never eaten in this restaurant but they have fantastic take-out pizza. Cheesy, plenty of fresh ingredients, and overall just damn tasty.
I love going here. The food is good and they have a nice patio in the summer. it wasnt the best lookjng but they've been doing renovations and its looking much better.

Excellent diner breakfast. We love this place on Saturday morning for the diner breakfast. It is nice to get a choice of three things (beans, potatoes, meat) so people who don't eat meat can make substitutions.
The service is always good and friendly and we like it here!

Excellent Vegetarian Pizza. I love the pizza here! I always order the vegetarian with bacon. There are always plenty of garnishes and lots of gooey cheese. I also tried the Fattouch Salad which I thoroughly enjoyed. FYI - order the small, its a very large portion. My husband had the Popeye's Best pizza and was disappointed, we traded a slice and I must agree. The spinach was very salty which made it disagreeable for us. Another of our guests had a hamburger and wasn't impressed. All the other pizza orders and Momma's Trio Combo were great.
Elvis Lives (their parking lot street sign). This place is fun, good waitress, fun decor, alright food. I've been there many times (when I was working in the area, haven't been back since). The owner is really nice in person (but uncooperative over the phone!)

Good food and service.. A traditional restaurant with simple fare. The pizzas are excellent, the other offerings solid. The Elvis themed decor is always amusing, and has changed three times over the past decade plus. Reasonably priced. Sam is always there serving and remembers your orders, never forgets to say hi when you are not at one of his tables.

Good Salad Bad Onion. Was dissapointed with the end piece of onion they gave me on the Greek Salad. After complaining , I got the next slice over. Time for a sack of vidallas boys!!

Though I'm not an Elvis fan (grow up, he's dead already!), you can't beat it for a good, reasonably priced pizza. Very kid-friendly.

Pizza and Breakfast. We have ordered pizza for take out and enjoyed it. It may seem more expensive than others but it just seems like an institution that can't be passed over. I have also done breakfast here and it was fine. I like the bustle that comes with the big crowd of regulars. And the servers seem like family that want to work so hard for you.

Classic family restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food and service are great, and the price is right. Their gourmet wild mushroom thin-crust pizza is amazing! Go after 5pm if you want to try it.
p.s. since I wrote that review, I've discovered Newport's breakfast. It's great. These folks know how to poach an egg, for one thing. Also, their hot hamburger sandwich and their shepherd's pie are very nice. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, and the side veggies are not just decorations--they're delicious.
Great pizza!!! The rest of the menu has some great stuff too if pizza isn't your thing. I like bringing the family because the staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is good for kids.
