Enjoyed my first visit on Tuesday night. Love going to these neighborhoods restaurant. I much prefer these restaurant compare to the chain or the posh restaurant with too much pretension. Fresh pasta were great, portion are reasonable and the taste is fresh and tasty. The owner has a beautiful personality and make the sole of her restaurant. Loved it and will be back again, and with friends!
Nice restaurant. The pasta was great. The server was very polite but the service was long. They need another server. Ordered the spicy Penne, and it was delightful. The best part of the meal was the coffee Gelato for desert. I'd recommend the restaurant to friends.
Awesome. I went to this restaurant after reading the reviews here and wasn't sure what to expect as the reviews here are pretty varied. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. I went to this restaurant on an evening that wasn't very busy (just a few other tables were occupied), so perhaps they would have been less attentive had they had more clients, seeing as they seem to have very few staff here. The decor was like something out of a Columbo episode (70s-80s italian diner), which I love, but the style might not be for everyone, especially people who are really into very modern decor, but it was very cozy, with great music playing throughout the evening. The prices are decent. I had a salad and a pasta dish; the portions were healthy - not too little nor too much - and everything was delicious. The red house wine was fine; I haven't been to this place in the summer, so maybe that makes the difference. I will go back to this place for sure.
Good food, cosy , good wine selection. Service good but ladies run to much to please customer . A bit pricy for the portion but very tasty
I had the ravioli and it was fresh and delicious, the only issue I had was the portion for the price.
Real Italian food, no bullshit. This restaurant is all about the food. Homemade pasta, sauces, etc., made of high-quality ingredients and with great love and care. If you have been to Italy, you will recognize this as the real deal. Ignore the '70s-'80s décor, order your favourite pasta with a litre of house, and hunker down for a relaxed "slow food" experience by the owner/chef, Adriana.
This is no East Side Mario's or Olive Garden. If you want Italian-American massive portions and a spicy-meat-a-balla, don't come here. If you want a sophisticated Euro-Italian meal in an unpretentious Vanier restaurant, open your mind and your mouth will follow. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa.
