Enjoyed Afternoon Tea with friends, our first visit. What a lovely treat! All baked goods baked on the premises.
Fair prices, and excellent service. We would definitely return.

The desserts a absolutely delicious and I've never been disappointed by any of them, their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is really pleasant. They also have board games so you can come in with friends and hangout. They also do full meals and non dessert food items of which I've only tried one. It was decent but nothing special, would try more before coming to a conclusion on the quality of them. Only complaint is that their cutlery had a gross metallic taste that took away from the food.

Turkey Dinner Pie. The most amazing thing in a pastry we've ever eaten! An (almost) entire turkey dinner in a pie crust. Just add cranberry sauce, Brussels sprouts and a glass of wine. And follow up with a slice of Life of Pie's scrumptious pumpkin pie. Pure bliss!

As easy as pie!. A must go! Went with my friend and tried the Caramel Cookies (approx. 40 cents each) which were to die for and just melted in your mouth! Also have had the Berry Scone ($1.50) which was the fluffiest and and most flavorful ever for the stereotyped dry pastry! Picked up a Pear and Vanilla with Brown Butter Pie ($14.00). Absolute heaven. Cant say I'm much of a pie fan to begin with but wow, this place takes the dessert to another level. Service was unbelievably friendly. Felt almost like I was in a bakery in a little small town.

I spy great pie!. I have loved all the pies that I have bought from here except one. We especially like the tortiere. Whilst the quiche are pretty amazing too! My only disappointment ever was a rather nasty lemon and raspberry tart. The filling had fallen out of the pastry case by the time I had got home, it was straight out of their freezer. So I scooped it up and put it back into the crust and cooked it. However even then the lemon custard was just yuck. I threw it away after just trying a small piece But hey we all have bad baking days.

Good but overated. I went there because of all the hype. I was good, but I was disapointed with how the pies are present. In a box in a fridge, not on display... I had to open the box secretly to see what it looked like. Other than that, the pie itself is good.

Amazing scones!. You must try the scones here. We always order them for meetings. It's nice to see a place open up near work that you can grab a coffee and a treat!

In a tweeted response to our Serious Grilled Cheese post , someone wondered aloud how we could visit Serious Cheese (1189 Bank Street), talk about its grilled cheese, and not mention its mac 'n cheese. The reason has to do with this post. During February, we followed a path left by michaelsdolce jam to mac 'n cheese. Essentially, when the Ottawa Citizen's Arts & Entertainment Editor, Peter Simpson, released his round up of Ottawa's mac 'n cheese, we were taken aback by how many local establishments he visited also retailed Chef/owner Michael Sunderland's jams. michaelsdolce Jams at Life of Pie We cross-referenced Simpson's chosen mac 'n cheese purveyors with the michealsdolce website , and went to try various takes on mac 'n cheese. Incidentally, Simpson's piece would lead to Thyme & Again , re-formulating their take . The general public would be invited to provide input. Their new and improved mac & cheese is on our to try list.

Life of Pie makes .. pies. A variety of both sweet and savoury and not just your typical apple pie - interesting flavours like strawberry buttermilk custard or chipotle and Beau's pulled pork. They also offer cookies, muffins, cupcakes, scones and quiche. And did I mention they offer a daily lunch special? (Mac 'n Cheese @ Life of Pie ) The lunch special changes daily and is announced on their Facebook and Twitter pages so you can think about it at work instead of w
