Really enjoyed our experience at Bella Vista on Saturday April 6/19. Restaurant was busy and we were surprised how well we were treated by Roberto. We came in as 6 people (left as 9 people - long story) and we were promptly dealt with excellent service - EXCELLENT !!!! He delivered our drinks and appetizers extremely efficiently and made us all laugh with all his stories about the history of Little Italy. This guy Roberto should have his own TV show. My wife and daughter are still talking about him. Bella Vista will now be our Restaurant when we go out from here on in - it is that good. The pasta and seafood were so fresh and wonderful. We have booked a private function in June for 50 people. Well done 'Bella Vista' from the Young's.
I've been to Bella Vista several times both eat in and take out. I have never been disappointed with any food choice nor have any of my dinner companions.pizza is great , chicken parmesan very good. They also have a very nice coconut cream pie . I would say if you are in the area stop in for sure.
My experience with Bella Vista has been a fairly long one. We would always order poutine from them on poker nights. I am very picky with poutine so I'm not going to say it is amazing, but it is good.
We recently went into the restaurant on a Tuesday and had their specials. One was fish and the other liver. The special included a chick pea soup which was excellent. The main dishes were very very good as well, the fries accompanying the meal were perfect also. The special included a rice pudding which was at least as good as the one my mom makes. I hope she is not reading this...
Overall, I have had nothing but good experiences at this place aside from the occasional stressed out waitress on very busy nights, but that goes for any restaurant, no matter what you say. It seems to be the go-to place for a very wide variety of people. There are always families, couples, elderly people, young people in the restaurant. I also appreciate the somewhat dim lighting.
Great Pizza. Lately the Pizza in the Alta Vista area has been blah at best too greasy and too salty! Bella Vista has risen to the challenge and is making a Pizza that is tasty and fun. I would recommend their pizza to anyone looking for a meal you will enjoy!
Superb PIZZA!!!. We really look forward to our pizza nights at Bella Vista, The pizza (and Lasagna) are always tasty and priced right. Service is efficient and friendly, There is no pretentiousness here - just a good place to decompress after a busy day!
Best pizza ever !!!!!. While I must admit customer service was not the best heir pizza is simply the best EVER !!!!!
Good Family Spot!. Bella Vista has great pizza for sure. They also have decent breakfast, but the waitresses are the ones who make your day. I have been there for weekend brunch before - sit on the left side of the restaurant. The waitress there is awesome! She knows what she's talking about, she remembers me and my family every time we go. She even remembers what my dad orders (always one of two things). The food is always good. Nothing spectacular but I have not been disappointed yet
OMG Real Pizza. As a gluten-free diner, Bella Vista is one of the staples. Actual, delicious pizza, only gluten free(option). Similar to any thicker crust homestyle pizza, they have a taste that has been consistently improved, even when improvement was no longer necessary. I most solemnly missed good pizza and Bella Vista came through, shattering any expectations.
Pretty Good.. We ordered pizzas and spaghetti. They were good standard meals but it wasn't terribly fast. It was crazy busy. Clearly a favourite with families.
We love eating here. The food tastes like someone's grandmother was in the back preparing your meal from an old family recipe. Salads are made fresh - they don't use the pre-bagged stuff so many restaurants do now adays. Their pizzas were voted the best in town a few years back for good reason. Great place to eat !!
Been around forever. Best pizza and Greek salad in town. Great family restaurant.
Worth the hassle. Let me start by saying the gluten-free pizza is UNBELEIVABLE!!! So delicious and tastes like the real thing. I have Celiac's (can't eat gluten/wheat) so finding this place was a real treat. I live in Kanata and will make the drive to BV in the South end at least 2 to 3 times a month. I've been told the regular pizza is great as well.
BUT, if you are going to eat in, be prepared to wait. And I mean WAIT. We've eaten-in several times and at different times of day and the wait is always a good 30 - 45 minutes. And the staff aren't overly warm and fuzzy.
For other Celiacs: BV tries to be careful about cross-contamination and they have "GF" utensils, but I've seen them use the same pizza trays on regular and gf pizzas to pull them out of the oven. I've been glutened here a few times, but I like the pizza so much that I think it's worth the risk. Consider yourself warned!!
Still my favourite pizza.
