Best sandwich place I've been to.
That may be a slight exaggeration, but it is that good. They just make their sandwiches so well. The cheese, the toppings. And their ketchup is the best I've had. I really like the tangy salsa-like one. And of course, I always wash it down with their cherry Coke Zero. I recommend the chicken or beef based sandwiches, and for you vegetarians, the meatless options are also pretty good. I always go whenever I'm at Rideau or even in the byward market. I'll be the first to admit that it can get pretty pricey, but like I mentioned in my review on Hintonburger, it strikes the right price-size-taste balance.
Really good grilled cheese and the cheesy fries are great :) they have the coke machines with a ton of options too. The brothers that own this place are nice and they give mall employee discounts.
If you're looking for a really unhealthy meal, perhaps dare I say the ultimate "cheat meal" this is your spot. I had the Jalapeño Rancher Grilled Cheese with waffle fries. It was delicious, but greasy. Definitely one the pricer options in the new Rideau Centre food court but if you're into a good grilled cheese it's worth it!
The service was TOP NOTCH - by far the best we've ever experienced at a "fast food" joint. Waffle fries with cheese were delish.
Had a good Westcoast Grilled Cheese sandwich for lunch. Added the waffle fries and drink and finished at the Till around $15. The cheese was melted perfectly. The chicken was good and plentiful too. I would recommend.
These Guys Know Customer Service. Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese is delicious!
The two brothers who run this place are wonderful guys! They're so charming and funny and really make you feel appreciated. They chit chat with you while your food is cooking and they really make an effort to get to everyone in their crazy long line!
Great job guys!
The jalapeño popper was awesome. Chips in a sandwich... Need I say more?

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. I tried the Mac and Cheese sandwich and I was very impressed. Plus they have a Coke Freestyle machine with great variety. I would highly recommend eating there.
Winner. My colleague and I tried MLT DWN for the first time today at the new Dining Hall in the Rideau Center. I ordered the Herbed Chicken sandwich and yup, I made the right choice. The quality of their sandwiches is great. All the toppings seem fresh and you get a good amount of everything (pieces of chicken, etc.). The sandwhich was a perfect size for lunch. Enough to make you feel satisfied but not so much that you feel the need to nap after.
The mix and match beverages are fun and can be very interesting! The service was incredible! The employees were all in a good mood and joked around with the customers in line. They even played into my extreme dislike of pickles which was amusing.
Little hint: Get the waffle fries and the pepper ketchup to dip. Great combo!
I work right next to the mall and will surely be back for lunch.
Yummy sandwiches, long wait. Came here on opening day and the line was huge! They seemed to be understaffed, and it took almost 40 minutes to get our orders in. I will give the benefit of the doubt, since it was opening day. Food was great - I loved the Jalapeno Rancher - Cheesy fries are a must have. And although it sounds a little weird, definitely try at least one of the dessert sandwiches. I love the cheesecake one, even though I was a bit skeptical about how it would turn out.
