Came here for quick drinks on the weekend and really liked the ambience. Atari has a lounge/fine-dining kind of feel to it. The drinks are expensive, but apparently girls eat free on Tuesdays. The drinks have very creative, fun names, giving the place a more modern vibe. Enjoyed it and would be glad to come back.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Atari, especially with their rating here, I wasn't sure what to expect. We went to Atari with a group of 20 on Saturday and often when you're in a group the service and food quality isn't the same, but we found the server to be very attentive and quick. My husband ordered the Tuna Tartare and was raving about it the whole way home. The Kentucky Kirby was by far my favourite cocktail, but I loved the idea and uniqueness of the one that came topped with cotton candy. I ordered the gnocchi poutine and the Cajun chicken burger, all were very good. I would definitely recommend Atari if you're looking to stay in the market for casual drinks and trendy/not boring food. My friends and I are excited to go back on a Tuesday where ladies eat free or in the summer for their rooftop patio.
One things for sure, you simply can’t beat Atari’s location, especially on a hot summer evening. The restaurant boasts one of the hottest and liveliest rooftop patios in Ottawa and the innovative cocktails and food menu compliment the ambiance very well. In addition to their weekly events (ladies night every Tuesday (lucky us, we eat for FREE!) and art walks every Wednesday), the real attraction is
A friend and I came here for after-work drinks and a snack, mainly because of the fantastic rooftop patio and the interesting cocktail menu. We had the place virtually to ourselves at 6pm on a beautiful day, but it filled up a bit more later. I ordered the peach-based cocktail ($8), which was a...
Good place to go have some drinks. They have a nice rooftop patio. The drink selection is interesting. Our group tried many and they were all fantastic. We did notice the staff being a bit drunk, screaming a lot and having fun. Up to you to determine if that's fun or unprofessional. It did not bother my group since they seemed to really have fun, until they really messed up on our food order. They quickly apologized and repaired their mistake.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening with good service and an exciting menu. Their signature cocktails are worth the visit along with a succulent duck tartare I would return for. Go with the deep fried oreos for sinful yet entirely satisfying conclusion.
Great for drinks! Sake Sangria and Cow Girl definitely recommended.
Food is tasty but fairly expensive which is ordinary for pretty much everywhere now.
Our server was excellent, he was very funny and attentive. We have some tartare and it was delicious. We also tried a number of their cocktails and all of them were good. Their cocktail list is very creative. They were very reasonably priced as well. The decor is great.
This is a lovely new spot in the market. The decor and rooftop patio are awesome. The cocktail menu is original and extensive (tried the cowgirl and loved it). They have a few small plates on their menu that are reasonably priced. Our group tried the Asian tuna tartare and the French beef tartare. I loved the first one! The bbq sauces served on the side were also great and a nice complement to the beef. We also ordered the mac and cheese and the lobster roll, and they were both delicious! The service was excellent and the owner swung by our table a few times to make sure everything was to our liking and to gather comments/suggestions. This place was a wonderful surprise; I recommend it highly and hopefully will return soon.
Awesome selection of cocktails, and a beautiful rooftop patio. There is a small food menu, but didn't get a chance to try the food this time. Our server was attentive and friendly.
