Food and Price great. Service - boo. I have been here more than few times and the food is always great. The service is never amazing. Often takes a while to be served, even though it is a small restaurant. BUT I will continue to go back. I do enjoy the vibe and food itself.
Classic Breakfast. This has been my go-to spot for years. The waitresses are great, very attentive and always smiling (not an easy task considering how full that place gets on weekends). I can't speak to their whole menu because I always get "the Sunshine" breakfast, but what I do get is consistently good. Love this spot. I'm very surprised at the multitude of bad reviews since I have been there literally dozens of times and not even had one bad experience.
Perfect Sunday Breakfast. Best place to go and a get a great Sunday breakfast
Basic Diner. If you're an average everyday normal guy/gal looking for an average every day normal diner - go to this joint. Coffee was pretty crappy (weak; watered down). Service also pretty crappy (two waitresses for entire restaurant which was full); I didn't mind as I had time to kill. Pancakes tasted like flour+water. I still voted the place+ as it's a typical greasy spoon hangover diner.
Regular for years. Love the sunshine breakfast - their best dish by far and cheap! They aso make great coffee, the perfect greasy spoon fix. The staff are personable and the regulars always add a bit of local colour. Always fills on the hour so beat the lines by arriving a bit earlier. Recommend going before 11 if you want to avoid the hipster crowd.
Awesome breakfast comfortable enviroment
Good cheap breakfast. I believe that breakfast should be fast and reasonable. So do they.
Friendly staff, good food, slow service. Great breakfast options. Nice environment (diner-esque), and reasonable price. I just wish dishes came with more food.
Classic diner with a good breakfast. The onions and spices in the hashbrowns are yum.
Great for a traditional diner breakfast. Ordered the double-double (2eggs, sausages, bacon, pancake or French toast, home fries) with coffee. Although the service was a little slow, the food was just what I needed: a big greasy-spoon breakfast. The over easy eggs were perfectly cooked, bacon and sausages were nice and crispy, home fries were a little salty but delicious nonetheless. Coffee was average but endless.
Would have loved real maple syrup with my pancake!
Go for the diner experience!
Recently, I found myself at Bramasole Diner ( 428 Bank Street, Ottawa ) for a business breakfast. Had never been here before and was interested to see if this old school style diner could serve up some traditional greasy breakfast. A group of 8 of us sat down for breakfast with only one other table occupied the entire time we were there on a weekday. Service was outstanding as every time I looked at my coffee cup it was full. Not sure how the waitress did it without me noticing. We perused the menus for 15 minutes while waiting for our group to show up. The waitress was kind by holding off on taking our orders as well enjoyed our coffee, chatted and perused the menu. Eventually most of our group arrived and we order. The Order : 1 Blueberry pancakes with sausages and bacon with black coffee. Surprisingly the food game within 15 minutes of ordering even though 8 of us ordered. The blueberry pancakes were nothing special though. Not burnt or overcooked, but now wow factor either.
