Awesome place , quick service, scrumptious food & generous people. We ordered butter chicken and rice but the restaurant owner convinced us to have dhaba chicken n naan.
I must tell you it was awesome! And as it was our first visit, they also offered us goat meat which was again so delicious. Would definitely recommend it and would like to go back!
The food is always excellent and worth the drive for us to pick it up. After having food from here a few years ago, we have never gone anywhere else
Best Indian food in town, I've ordered plenty of times and they never disappoint, perfect balance of spices every time, if you're looking for a new favorite place, Brampton Authentic Indian Foods is the place. :D

One of the best authentic punjabi indian food !! The owners are a lovely couple and take extra measures to ensure the food quality. I wish they were more closer to downtown. If you want good quality food at decent rate, this is the place to be!

Insanely good, authentic, Indian food. The people who work there are incredibly friendly and explain the dishes very well, and recommend different plates for you. This place is worth the drive from Wakefield!
Hello everyone ...
I finally ate the best food in Ottawa. Delicious Food. I should recommend everyone to have a visit here.
We tried their Chana Bhatura and It was good. Brar's sweets which they sell is amazing.
This place is worth a try.
Only place I'll ever order curry from in Ottawa. If you haven't eaten here yet then you're missing out.
Cozy place! Great hosts &
Amazing food!!
Definatly would visit once a week!
Best samosa had in Canada till date...overall food was awesome... friendly gesture from owner....
Awesome food and great service...paji always let u feel like home. Dhaba chicken was amazing and even they were so busy today they service was great .
Best samosas you will ever have. The veg samosas are the best but beef and chicken will not dissappoint either. The serving sizes for curry dishes are huge and delicious, a large can feed two easily. Our favorites are Karahi Chicken and Palak Paneer.
Awesome place , quick service, scrumptious food & generous people. We ordered butter chicken and rice but the restraunt owner convinced us to have dhaba chicken n naan.
I must tell you it was awesome! And as it was our first visit, they also offered us goat meat which was again so delicious. Would definitely recommend it and would like to go back!
In a somewhat separate section from the takeout food counter, there is a refrigerated butcher display case with several flavours of pre-marinated chicken legs. I asked for two of the ones marked "spicy." These aren't huge legs, but they do come with the hip bone attached so it adds up to a decent portion. Super tasty! Certainly one of the best options in town for pre-marinated BBQ meat.
Catered for my wedding. Need I say more?. I have known this place since it opened up and really it was the best authentic Indian cuisine I tasted in Ottawa. My wedding was catered by them and they gave amazing variety of food for my guests at a very reasonable price. The service was also excellent and prompt. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are equally great.
Unbeleivable Taste, excptional Authenticity. We stopped by chance at this location, mostly because our original destination was closed when we arrived. So happy we did, because it felt like we struck restaurant gold with this place.
the restaurant itself has a modest exterior, but step through the door and your instantly in flavour country. The staff were very helpful and even shared samples of their delicious food. Hands down, this was the best Indian food I have ever tasted. you wont regret giving this place a try.
THAT SAUCE!
Went back recently (June 2015) as we were in the neighbourhood. I wish I was closer because I would go way more. Maybe that is good thing for the waistline. It is still the king of takeout Indian food in my opinion. We go home and setup our own mini-buffet and still have leftovers that taste even better the next day! The sauce in the Vindaloo was amazing and made to order e.g. you chose the spiciness. The butter chicken was so good it was gone in a flash. We picked up some Afgani chicken to BBQ too. To keep this short, I'll just say that nothing has changed since my previous review below. Highly recommend!

Well worth the trip!. After being disappointed with some of the local Indian restaurants, my interest was piqued when I saw reviews on here for this place. It's not that Indian food in Ottawa is generally bad; it's more that the food at most establishments does not stand out.
The name of this place kind of threw me off as I expected a North American style of Indian cooking. Brampton? The reviews on here convinced me that that was not the case and they were right. The place is small and serves both fresh and cooked meat as the name suggests. It does not look much on the outside, but don’t let that fool you. There were all kinds of handwritten signs with prices and Indian names when you walk in, so I was a bit confused at first. I noticed other newbies coming after us doing the same. I went with someone who had already been so they pointed out that the menu I wanted was on the wall behind me. It is also handwritten, but easier to follow. Service was attentive and friendly. There are a couple of tables and butcher style fridge displays with chicken in different sauces. I really want to try the Afghani.
One of their house specialties is curried goat. I like goat, so I decided to give it a whirl. The owner was nice enough to remind me that the goat had bones. It sold by weight so I appreciated the information. He added that the pickled chicken did not have bones. I went with the goat. I like spicy, but let me warn that this goat has kick. Eaten warm or cold, it is sublime. My mouth was awash in spices and the first time I tried it, I ran for water. For a minute I thought that this is what it must be like eating in a restaurant in India. Once I got accustomed to the spiciness, I could not stop eating the dish because it was that good. It took my love for goat to another level. I was hooked. Not sure if it’s the freshness of the spices or what, but they are doing it right. Since then, we have tried the regular goat curry, chicken korma and chicken curry. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM goes the dynamite. They were all near tens. It was not so much the meat as the sauces, which were more robust than any I've had. I can see where they get authentic in the name, as I've only had few similar experiences. Needless to say, we get the made to order garlic naan when we go to sop up the rich and succulent sauces. I would pay to get the sauce and naan alone. The butter chicken poutine was a bit of flop mainly because they use frozen shoestring fries. It kind of ruined the taste of the dish. Although I know it would cost more to use fresh cut fries, I would be willing to pay more as I think it would greatly improve the dish. We have also tried the Tikka wrap, which is made on fresh naan. It was spot on and a good size too. Very good value for your money.
Will be back and would recommend!!!
Good food and service. I went to this place without much expectation and was pleasantly surprised. I walked in and was greeted by a super friendly lady who took time to answer all my questions. I ended up getting a seekh kebab, veg biryani, saag paneer, samosa and a marinated chicken to cook at home. Everything was flavourful and wonderfully spiced. I barbecued the chicken at home and it was succulent and tasty.
I went again a second time and ordered the garlic naan and chicken tikka. I felt the tikka portion size was a bit small for $10. But again the flavor won me over.
This place is surely becoming my go to spot for decent, well priced indian food.
Simply the best in Ottawa. My wife and I moved to Ottawa from Toronto - and having tried 7 (yes, seven) indian food places in Ottawa we were massively dissapointed. Small portions.... very sub par food.. and what was worse, WAY over priced. (17 dollars for one dish? are you kidding?)
Through friends we found out Brampton Meats were opened in Ottawa. We tried it out skeptical - boy were we surprised.
AMAZING food... "real" indian food, fresh and home made. The prices are the normal prices for indian food (extremely cheap by Ottawa standards) - 9.99 for a massive tub of indian food, or 5.99 for a medium container.
It is take out only - and they have fresh indian meats in a butcher shop style layout if you wish to BBQ at home.
This restaurant finally does it right. It saw a wide open gap in Ottawa filled with Indian Restaurants that have been getting away with ripping off customers with horrible food and over priced menus for years because no one knew the difference locally.
Finally a real indian food restaurant - we live in Orleans and still make the drive - we are never going to order or go to any other indian food restaurant in Ottawa other than this one.
Highly recommend for authentic Indian cuisine! Delicious food and huge portions with vairety of dishes to choose from. The owners are super nice and welcoming. Best place to satisfy your cravings - Brampton Authentic Indian Food!
There are a very few restaurants/ take out spots in Ottawa for good, authentic indian food and Brampton Authentic is one of them!
We ordered Chole Bhatoore, samosa chaat and soya chaap and everything was top notch! The taste is amazing, and our craving for indian food was fulfilled! 😍 The chef was very friendly, and we appreciate the kindness and humble behaviour the staff had! The portions were also generous and it was truly value for money.
Surely, a must try for authentic Indian food. Will order again..
You miss indian streets?
Thats the place you go to fullfill your cravingss.
I’ve been going to this place from last 2years and have tried almost all of their menu items and everything tastes perfect everytime i order. The service is above and beyond everytime you visit the store, they always welcome you and entertain you whole heartedly, been visiting there so often that now it feels as if home to me .❤️Cant wait for the dine-in to open back here and have the hot food served.
The food is incredible. Generous portions, very reasonable price. I also love their sweets, they always taste delicious and fresh, and there's a large selection as well. The reception is also always very kind and friendly. I would highly recommend coming here if you haven't yet. A lovely little location :)
Just went to Brampton yesterday, an incredible experience! I brought my brother and sister for their first time so that we could all get some of that amazing sugar cane juice that they offer. Ravi served us, he is a very outgoing and cheeeful man, there was also another man and a woman and they both seemed very kind as well. While we waited for Ravi to make us the sugar cane juice, they even gave us each a free veggie samosa to snack on! I ended up picking some sweets up as well, and everything tasted beyond amazing. I highly highly recommend people to try the sugar cane juice, in my opinion the absolute best drink you can possibly have, especially on a hot summer day. Thank you Brampton!!!!

The best North Indian food I ever had in ottawa. They were actually renovating at the time we went, I owner was kind of enough to arrange table and space just for us. We can see the passion of the owner in the quality of food they served, and sweets are so good I ordered again this week. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Perfect food with homemade taste! Perfect mixture of spices and tangy taste. Friendly staff. A perfect place to eat GHAR KA KHANA!!
A small neighbourhood restaurant with great service, food, and ambiance! The food was delicious and fresh. Amritsari Kulcha Channa is a must-try. The meal is delicious, and the prices are reasonable given the quantity of the portions.
