Came here last night, and tried their chicken springrolls as an appetizer, and got their Jungle Curry with sticky rice.
The spring rolls were very freshly cooked, but the flavour was just alright. $5.25 for 2 seemed a little steep too.
The jungle curry was good, but being the spiciest dish on their menu, I'd have said it was "medium spicy". The portion size i think was generous. Their sticky rice was some of the best I've had in Ottawa though, it is rare to find real sticky rice, and this was definitely it.
Overall, it was pretty decent. I'd definitely say it's worth going back.
Very good. We had a delivery tonight for our family. Pad Thai, fried rice , chicken with cashew and sticky rice all delivered to our hotel. They also spoke French with use hen they heard our accent:-)
Very good fun! Fresh !!
They have a new chef and the New pho is amazing! Lovely strong beef flavor. No need to add any extra sauces. Their coconut shake is also to die for
Stopped by on a whim for lunch and was super impressed. Our waiter was possibly 10 years old but polite and efficient. I am vegan and was impressed with how many options I had. We ordered vegetable salad rolls which were good, tofu red curry that was FILLED with delicious veggies, and a spicy sizzling platter of tofu and veggie stir fry--which was very spicy but so so good, lots of cilantro and lemongrass. I highly recommend it!
Best Vietnamese in town. Red Pepper by far has the best Vietnamese food in town. I stumbled upon this little gem when I was in the neighborhood. I was directed to come here for the Vegetarian Pho and it was the BOMB. After a few times of that I ventured towards the Pad Thai which kicked my taste buds in the ass - I've had a ton of Pad Thai and this is one of the best. The green curry and vermicelli are also very delicious. The deep fried banana is also a good choice.
Yeah. I do like this place. Their rare beef pho is quite good, though to an extent pho is pho. Theirs is better than a bunch of places I've tried. Their pad thai is also quite good, as are their spring rolls. I was a regular here for many months with a friend of mine and have found that the owners/staff are quite friendly! I don't know why people are saying that they are not. Their english is not great and sometimes I think they dont understand every word out of my mouth but that is not to be confused with malevolence. They are sweet! Especially the lady. Good food.
I love red pepper's chicken salad rolls and Tom yum soup. Delicious!! The curry dishes are tasty and huge. Full of veggies and great flavour
AMAZING FOOD! Lots of veggies and large portions. We have been several times and has always been a good experience.
Good food, big portions. Tried this restaurant a couple of weeks ago on a whim. We ordered the shrimp fresh spring rolls and I had the vegetarian fried noodles. The rolls were really fresh and tasty. The portion of the fried noodles was huge! Great value, lots of veggies and tofu. I had enough to take home for another meal the next day. They also give you longan fruit for dessert (simliar to lychees) - this surprised me because typically you get something cheaper like oranges.
Served by one of Centretowns finest youth, The Red Pepper holds a special place in my heart. It serves up tasty Asian cuisine at affordable prices, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary. Getting a window seat along with complimentary teapot before your order is always a relaxing venture. I recommend their soup!
Amazing. Best pad Thai I've had and the crispy chicken noodle dish was unbelievable. 10/10 recommend but 5/5 is all that I can give.
