The staff is extremely friendly, and the food comes out very quickly. The breakfast includes the coffee which is great.
The inside looks recently renovated and a lot bigger than what it looks on the outside.
Definitely come by and try them out.

Went for breakfast several times here. Good food at decent prices. Friendly staff. Love that the coffee is included with the breakfast and doesn’t cost me $3 extra. And it is regularly topped up. One of our regular visiting places when it comes to breakfast. Hoping to try lunch/dinner at some point as well.

Our server was prompt and polite. Food was plentiful and hearty fare with good value for the prices. The cheesecake was very tasty. Overall would highly recommend for budget conscious diners. As a bonus it has karaoke nightly if you are looking for a meal and entertainment. My partner had the burger with smoked meat piled on it and I had the chicken melt with guacamole. Will definitely go back!

My family and I have gone there a few times now the food is really good and the prices are decent. But I was turned off when we went there today for my son's birthday. We were a large group and after we all ate I asked the waitress for some small plates so we could have a slice of the cake I brought. The waitress then tells me that there's a charge for using their plates!! I was like what?? How much?? And she says $1 per person!! I was blown away, I never heard of a restaurant charging you for using their plates. She said she'd ask the cook to see if he'll waive the fee for me. I guess it was my lucky day, they waived the fee. Only to be disappointed again when I found out that apparently the free refills for their soft drinks only applies to the 1st refill after that your charged per refill. Would've been nice if it said that on their menu!! Not sure if we'll go back there again which is too bad because we did like their food and atmosphere just not their hidden costs and fees.

VERY HAPPY!!!! AMAZING FOOD and great service! Poor server was alone but he managed to serve an entire room of people calmly, fast and efficiently, with a great smile. Amazing food !!! Kudos to the cook for the great breakfast. All day breakfast is always the best! Will definitely be returning often. Amazing prices and quality beats baton rouge and all the other guys. Cozy and super homey!

I love this place. I come here on a regular basis. I have not been disappointed with any of the food I've ordered. You get a lot of food for a great price. The type of food you get here is similar to what you'd get at grandma's. I mean that in a good way, it doesn't feel or taste industrialized like the big chains, its got that small town feel.
Don't be discouraged by the location or the restaurant's setting, the food is what you come for and the food is great. Service is fast and professional. I would highly recommend this place for any one person, family or group.

We have been regular customers at the Cook house but will not go again. We have been fans of their coconut shrimp. The menu shows that you can get a 10 piece shrimp dinner for $20.00. I ordered this and got only 8 shrimp delivered. When I asked why, I was told that the cook (owner?) decided that the shrimp was too big. I have ordered this dinner before and there is no difference in the shrimp size. My wife told me that the same thing had happened to her a couple of weeks earlier when she had eaten there.
The restaurant has the right to decide on the size of the meals they prepare but when the menu states a certain quantity that quantity should be delivered,
My wife and I were regular customers and usually brought friends with us. We will not be back!

I go there 4 times a week. Best deal in the knight breaky. Comes with a home fries poutine, 2 eggs, toast, sausage, bacon and coffee. Cant really go wrong with that

Good place for traditional breakfast. Recommend the "Four Seasons Breaky" that comes with 3 eggs, 3 meats, toast, homefries, coffee/tea AND juice/milk.

We went for breakfast last Sunday and were happy with the meals.My wife had the steak and eggs and they actually got the steak cooked perfectly medium.I had the big breakfast with sausage,bacon,ham,eggs and hash browns and all were decent.Dad had an omelette which was to his liking and his girlfriend had waffles,again to her liking.Two downers were the eggs,which were lukewarm,and the service,which was friendly but sooooo slow and disorganized.They were quite busy though,so the slow service will get a second chance.However,as a family meal for four at $52 plus tip I would say it's definitely worth going back to.

This is the best kept secret for a decent basic family style dining spot that has been missing for years. Breakfasts are hearty and served all day at a reasonable price. <br/> <br/>Had the fabulous Smokehouse burger this time and my wife likes the Mushroom & Swiss burger. Have been back several times and I don't always log my rating or what I have tried. The good news is that I have never been disappointed. Once again, people are missing the boat here. Outside looks are deceiving but they have done a great job redoing the interior as a good basic diner. Considering its original roots as a MacDonalds (yes, I remember), Nates, Cora's and perhaps a few others since forgotten - this is a great spot!!! Don't let this place die. Support it.

The course is fairly good size as both of us were more than half full during the 9pm foodie time. The fires is too soft and need to cook more well done in as we like crispy, and the lamb is good, juicy and tasty, the veggies are fresh. The server is very friendly. I will return to try their other courses.
