Wow ... I have been to the Soup Guy Cafe now several times to meet up with friends and each time I have had a different soup that was outstanding. Last night I decided to order the meatball sub with a large salad and it too was awesome. The menu is so good. I live in Montreal and the eateries there are so good .... now I know where to go when I'm in Ottawa. Thank's Soup Guy !!!

We stopped for lunch on our way home from Ottawa and loved the sandwiches. Even picked up soup to have for dinner when we got home and it was the best soup. Will be back.

Love the delicious home style soups - mom's kitchen never has these tasty blends! Tried Chicken Poutine soup today and oh my, yum!! Although Tomato Pesto is still my fav!! We enjoyed our soup pre-game on the Patio enjoying Beaus and street music!

When I wasn’t feeling well, my friend said, “I’m going to google the ‘best soup in Ottawa!’” She found the Soup Guy Café and took us there. We were served by the lovely Sarah, who let us have samples of the soups we were interested in, and was very delightful in her care- she knew I wasn’t feeling well and showed an interested in making me feel better!- and my friend and I ended up with soups we both enjoyed. Soup is supposed to make a person feel better when they’re sick. And in this case, thanks to the Soup Guy and Sarah, it did. 🥣😊

Tasty soups made fresh every day! Lots of chopping and preparation goes into them. Take it from me, their soups are excellent... and I'm really picky about my soups! They also have paninis, wraps, salads and baked goods as well as coffee, tea, beer and wine! This store is a second location to the famous "Soup Guy Plus" at the World Exchange Plaza. I'm really glad that they opened this location (in August 2016) and extended the hours!

This is what I wrote in the visitors section: The soup has to be tried, it is full of solid veggies with, and some without, meats. the only way you can tell it's soup is when the spoon comes up, the heaps of goodies are wet. With the amount of real food in a serving, I found the medium serving with two sandwiches or panini's a full takeout meal for 2. And the guys and gals inside the warm setting make this the go-to place on Bank street.

I seriously cannot pass by this cafe without dropping in for a delicious bowl of soup and a yummy wrap! Quality fresh ingredients and everything made from scratch, plus soooo many varieties to chose from. Staff is the friendliest in life and are delighted to explain each soup and give you samples so you make the perfect choice!! Nothing better than a beautiful bowl of soup and that's exactly what you get at Soup Guy Cafe.

Amazing homestyle soups to warm the body and feed the soul. Hardy, healthy, and delicious. Different soups are served each day so it never gets boring. And the Panini sandwiches are some of the tastiest and freshest anywhere in town! Do stop in next time you're at Lansdowne or just enjoying the Glebe.

I love soups, so The Soup Guy in the Glebe is one of my favourite places for lunch.  So many choices!  And, of course, you can try a few samples before settling on the soup you'd like.  They even have an amusing "split soup bowl" if you can't decide between 2 soups.  My favourite (so far - I've only tried about 30 of them!) is Herb Laustein's Mushroom Fusion.
The little cornbread loaves are divine.
Generous servings at very reasonable prices.
And the service, especially from Laurie, is warm, friendly and very efficient.

Usually 8 homemade soups to chose from, all delicious with plenty of body. Well worth a visit on a cool or wet day to warm your insides. Other menu items are also decent. I'd stop here for lunch often if I was in the area.

Came here for a quick dinner tonight, as a friend had recommended it to me before. I ordered a roasted red pepper soup, and a pesto chicken & Swiss panini.

The sandwich was alright. The bread was awesome, the chicken was good quality, but when I got it, it was still a little cold in the middle. Not the end of the world though. The soup though, was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend it.

For a cafe, the server did a really good job. It looked like she was on her own covering it, but she was busting her ass the whole time.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend it as a cute cafe for a solid lunch at a reasonable price.

It's a soup and sandwich place done right. There is not a huge menu, so they can concentrate on flavour and service, both of which was excellent. 6 or so soups and the same number of sandwiches, plus a few salad options are on offer. We tried two of the soups and both were a treat, with very deep, rich flavours. Overall a great lunch, with smiling, pleasant staff with a product to match. Will return when in Ottawa.

Been here twice now, and both times not disappointed. I had recently had oral surgery, and the staff immediately offered to puree my chosen soup… which made the experience feel even better(it was my first outing since the surgery)… Back to the food… it really lived up to the other reviews posted here… best soup in Ottawa! Cannot recommend this place enough…

It's soup, how good can it be, you ask? Really good! I'm not even a soup lover and I love this place. I've never been disappointed, the soup is always fresh and different every day. The non-soup items are a bit limited (grilled cheese, panini, etc) but the focus is the soup and it's well worth visiting.

My experience wasn't at the location, but through Skip The Dishes. What I had ordered wasn't available at that time, and they had called me to inform me of that. They sent over the closest possible thing (which was delicious; chicken noodle soup and a roast beef wrap) and added extras in there as an apology. No need to apologize, as everything was delicious! But the staff are amazing as well!

One of my favorite lunch time spots in the Glebe! Amazing variety of tasty homemade soups that are always changing, as well as delicious sandwiches and salads. The staff are always very friendly and the service is prompt. The owner has been there every time I have gone in, adding to the great service. I would/do recommend this place to anyone, will not disappoint!
