Great pub style food at good prices. Good atmosphere and not too loud. Love their sandwich menu. We have booked tables for 6+ people on multiple occasions and had great service every time.
Delicious food.... Kudos to the kitchen for great food. I visited last Friday with 5 of my coworkers they also mentioned that we should come back.
Also our server was great ..very attentive to our needs.
Great Job !
So many beers!. This authentic Irish pub boasts 26 beers on tap and the full selection of beers by the Ashton Brewing Company. Their Pub Grub is delicious and filling and the staff is friendly. Always a good time here.
Great pub. Simply put, this is what a pub is supposed to be.
Oh hello, shepherd's pie. Great beer, good service (for the most part). I mainly wanted to post to give a shout out to their shepherd's pie. That dish is delish.
Great Beer and Apps!. Food is hit or miss, beer ABC great Microbrew. I love coming here for beer and apps,
Fantastic Experience...recommend for sure. Having lived and grown up in Ottawa I finally managed to make to Patty's a few weeks back. Being a pub I wasn't expecting much, but I was actually surprised. The food was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the beer selection was awesome. I tried a pint of the Ashton Amber Ale and for a locally brewed beer it was pretty good.
Would recommend to those who are up for some good pub food, a relaxed time and of course looking for a good range of beers!!!
Ugh the service is abysmal, but will always return for the ABC.
Great Fish and Chips. The wife took me hear for my birthday back in March. We both got the fish and chips, and I tried three of the ABC beers. The beers were not spectacular, but far better than junk macro beers.
Service was very fast, and our waitress was very friendly and told us the history of the pub.
The fish and Chips were very good however, both my wife and I really enjoyed them. The price was just right also, we would both definitely go back.
Good Pub Vibe. When I am at a loss for a meal out I often end up at Patty's. I don't go to other pubs so have no point of comparison but I love the neighbourhood vibe of this cozy establishment. The fish and chips are good and, for people like me who don't drink beer, the wine selection is decent. Recently, they changed the menu. Try one of the boxties -a traditional Irish potato pancake stuffed with a choice of vegetables or meat. Very tasty.
Boxty!. I had a boxty for the first time here! I split a vegetarian with a friend; delicious! It wasn't too busy and the waitress was very quick! Lovely service. :)
Pulled pork sandwich. The food hits the spot and the staff is excellent. Period. Today they had a sandwich they were presumably testing for their upcoming new menu; the pulled pork sandwich. This item NEEDS to on the menu or a weekly special at the very least. Not being a fan of pulled pork at other establishments i was very surprised with the quality of the new bread(Art Is In) as well as the flavor of the pork (this is not the typical bbq sauce sandwich). It was delicious. If everything is near as good,I look forward to making Patty's Pub's new menu a staple at lunchtime on both week days and weekends.
Great beers! ABC. Its worth going just for the ABC beers...and the wings are good. And nice to not have to pay Hintoburg prices for a pint of beer.
Just a great pub to chill and have a few good pints and relax.
Patty's Pub is my favourite restaurant in the city. Extremely friendly staff, especially Brandi, the night bartender. She always greets us with a friendly smile and greeting. I've been there so often that she knows exactly what I want and I don't even have to tell her. The wings are always superb. The Honey-Hot is the best I've had in the city. I reccommend Patty's to all my friends, and to anyone in the city who wants a nice friendly atmosphere and excellent food.
Good Friday... Quiet afternoon at the pub. Has the fisherman's platter: good seafood but the roasted potatoes tasted like they were left over from breakfast. Friend's had peppercorn steak which was very good. Average food, average atmosphere...
I have been coming to Patty's for a few years now. I have been in all sorts of pubs all over and this is still one of my favorite pubs. Good food, good service, of course great beer. Only better pub I've been to are those in Ireland.
Ottawa South's Best Kept Secret. Haven of the beer and burger lover
Very Delightful!. The wings are very good! Highly recommend them! They are very saucy and are cooked to perfection. Waitresses are very friendly and provide you with service you cant complain about. Prices are reasonable and Monday-Wednesday after 5 wings are half price, which is a steal of a deal. Although you need to buy a drink with your wings to get them half price, what's better than washing down AMAZING wings with a price cold beer.
Will return many many many more times!
It's been way too long since I've been in BUT they used to make the best fries and gravy in town. I know that sounds simple but it was REALLY good!
Best wings in ottawa. hands down. late night menu too.
Love their French onion soup!
When they say PUB they mean PUB. This is a very enjoyable irish pub, with food and bar. I particularly like the nachos, and french onion soup. Thier menu isn't the easiest to read though. And during Major sports events they have a projector screen they pull down, a great spot to see THE GAME.
We loved Patty's Pub! Hands down the best French onion soup I've had in a looong time. All the food was delicious, the beer was perfect and the staff was so friendly! Can't wait to make another trip to Ottawa so we can swing by again!
Great simple pub with a great choice on beers. Most importantly, dogs are allowed on the patio! The atmosphere is very no fuss and relaxing. The inside of the bar looks quite antique and one of a kind.
Haven't been here in years and were happy to find our meal was great. Had fish and chips and both were great. Really appreciate fries that aren't frozen. The piece of fish is generous. The server was friendly and attentive. Love the patio for nice days. The decor inside really makes you feel you are in a pub. This is on our list now for go to spots in Ottawa
Joe our waiter was amazing. The staff at the entrance were so nice. The cleanliness was unreal, the food was amazing, from the deep fried pickles and starter poutine to the chicken wings & nachos. A little pricey but so worth it. Was finger licking good. We'll be back. Thanks for a great 1st experience.
A quiet neighborhood gem. Patty's pub has two sides: a perfect patio, shaded but next to busy Bank Street, where you can watch the world bustle by while enjoying some amazing local beers. (Ashton Brewing is my favorite!)
And the other side is the warm, cozy pub, with a big stone fireplace and hardwood floors.
Great for summer or winter, always good service, good people, and good food.
Enjoy
Great place! I've been coming here on occasion since university. The guys I go with always love the wings, but I usually try other things on the menu. And I haven't been disappointed in the food yet! The fries are great (almost chip-truck style), as is the Shepherd's Pie. The CBC sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and you also can't go wrong with a Boxty! You definitely won't be disappointed with the food, but this is probably not a place you will go for the ambiance. The tables are EXTREMELY sticky, some tables have a fan in front of lights that creates a strobe-light effect, and much of the decor has gotten pretty beaten up over the years. We recently went with my 5-year-old nephew, and he entertained himself for about 20 minutes by sticking stuff to the tabletop and then laughing hysterically as he struggled to peel it back off.
If you're looking for a place with delicious food and a pretty good beer selection in a traditional "old school dive pub" setting, look no further! If you are picky about your surroundings and ambiance, then maybe this is not the place for you (or try the patio, which is much nicer-looking than the interior).
Very nice place for a beer and a snack
Nice welcoming people
A gem of Old Ottawa South. This pub is a great spot and gives an authentic, rustic atmosphere inside. They have some of the best beer I've tasted in Ottawa (the Ashton blueberry or amber are my recommendations). Food is also really good and the service is pretty quick. It's a little away from the action of centretown, but worth the trip down Bank.
