Always fast friendly service and the doniars are as if you never left the,east coast. Highly recommend this amazing place.
Originally from New Brunswick and I have to say this is the real deal! Most authentic garlic finger and donair sauce around. Finally, no more having to smuggle frozen garlic fingers every time I come back from a visit home!
The best Donair restaurant in the whole of Ontario. I've been in search for years. Kingston has a place on princess st. but new owners have failed to capture the right spices for the Donair. Ottawa owner has got it right 100%!!! Good guy too..... 3 larges to go!! Ha

This is by far the best "East Coast donair" that we have been able to find, west of Nova Scotia. This is not a Shwarma, nor a donair dressed up as a Shwarma. It doesn't pretend to be. People frequenting this establishment should not expect it to be. In Nova Scotia, they do not ask you what type of sauce you want, there is only one sauce, and yes, it's sweet. There are plenty of Shwarma places for people who would prefer a more Swarma type "donair". We live in the East end of the city, and still make the drive over at least once a month, for a true donair.
I have never been to Halifax but after tasting that amazing donair I think I will visit.

I am from Nova Scotia. When I walked in there, I told the owner (Gus) that I knew exactly what a Halifax donair was supposed to taste like - and I wanted one.
Gus, just smiled and said, "Eat this one, and I know you'll be back"...
He was sooooo right!! Everything, right down to the fried pita, meat, sauce, is perfect. The garlic fingers are exactly as I remember them!! My only complaint is that they are not open for lunch on Saturdays... I am now a regular there, and try to tell as many folks as I know about how they can get a genuine Halifax donair here in Ottawa.

Best pizza ever. This is whats up ppl, u wanna eat the best donair you will ever have then u have to check out this spot. I am from Nova Scotia ( the birthplace of donair in case you didn't know) The donair here is as close to an authentic east coast donair you will find outside of NS. Size difference between what they serve and what you get back home but it's not a problem. I have a strong dislike of their fries though. Tasted and appeared ad though they were deep fried 5 times.
Amazing Donair. Definitely my favourite place in Ottawa for donair. Very friendly service. Even though it is across the city from where I live, I go as much as possible!
Great donair. I came in here for the donair. As delicious and juicy as advertised. Although the place is shabby and falling apart, the donair made up for it. They also have a bar but I haven't been here at night so I can't vouch for it. But my do air sandwich was top notch soggy stuff.
Amazing Halifax Donair!!. If you haven't tried their donair, it's the best ever! Loaded with home-made donair meat with just a few veggies and the ultimate sweet sauce. It's across town for me, but I'll make the trip again, and again!!
Good for the price. I live really close so I grab food here a lot. The medium pizza walk-in deal is a steal for 6 bucks - it's not the best pizza ever but for the price it's very good, better than Pizza Pizza anyways. I also quite like the donair, the meat is nice and spicy and the sauce very good. Service is usually quick and the people are nice enough. Great little spot if you just want some munchies at a decent price.
Great East Coast style donairs. Meat is a little on the spicy side but I very much enjoyed. We went during a slower time and the meat was slightly on the dry side but overall it was still delicious and the owner was very friendly.
Donair pizza for the win. Having ordered their plain pepperoni pizza once and regretted it, I must wholeheartedly endorse their donair pizza. Although more expensive than other pizzas at Centertown, it is far cheaper than Gabriel's (my other favourite pizza haunt) and has a unique flavour. Do yourself a favour and order some donair sauce on the side for dipping purposes. Do not order a garlic sauce; the prepackaged stuff they have on hand is deeply inferior to their homemade donair sauce. Bonus points for friendly service and being from the Maritimes.
Food is great, delivery is bad!!!. I have to say that the food is fantastic!!!! The Halifax Donair is the best donair in town and the zucchini sticks are terrific. My complaint is that every time I order delivery, it takes at least 45 minutes and several mistakes by the driver. Ordered the donair & wings special last night took an hour and we got the wrong order. If this had been the first time this had happened I wouldn't write a bad review, but it's been the last several times we've ordered fro there that the driver brings the wrong order to the door. It get very frustrating having to tell them yet again the order was wrong. Will not get delivery from them again. only pick-up
Yummy!. Had the regular Donair and the cheese garlic fingers... soo good. Could have used a little more sauce on the donair but the meat was yummy. Pita was good. A little cheese on it and it would have been perfect. The garlic fingers are just what you would get back home, a little donair sauce on the side to dip with!!!

OMG great food...the donair sauce was unbelievably delicious. Would have given a 5 but some of the meat on the donair was very moist and flavourful but some was a little too tough for my liking. The Poutine was very good and cheesy and the gravey was very tasty.

My husband and I found this amazing donair restaurant called Centertown Halifax Donair ... the best Donair I have ever had bar none ... sauce was Sweet with a subtle zing ... the tomatoes and onions were fresh and the donair meat ... OMG ... tender and juicy ... so delicious ... This is our new donair place! 😊 and the Owner is super nice! Can't wait to go back!
Some of the best Halifax donair and garlic fingers I’ve tasted were from Centertown Donair and Pizza!! I ordered their meat lovers pizza and garlic fingers. The sweet sauce was perfect with the garlic fingers!!
Last Saturday, my wife and I stopped by with our great friends Lisa and her mother Judy, to try the world famous authentic Halifax Donair and the very popular garlic fingers. We were over the moon with the down- home Atlantic Canadian welcome from Scott and Terri-Lynn. Our Donairs were super fresh and tasted amazing with the sweet Donair sauce. The garlic fingers were also top-notch as advertised. Lisa and her mom had the Donair salad and pizza and loved them. We also enjoyed meeting several other Easterners in this updated feel good restaurant. We will be back soon with friends and family for another great meal. Thanks.

I cannot begin to describe this place! First off best pizza in Ottawa hands down! And I loved the donair kebab, my first time trying it and I’m glad I tried it at this place. Overall service was 10/10. Will definitely be coming here again and again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
If the King Of Donair is in Halifax, then the Queen Of Donair is in Centretown. First time trying this place out, had the garlic finger and donair special, and we will definitely be back. Great quality food, and great price too! (Food didn’t last long, so wasn’t able to grab pictures)
