Review Colonnade Pizza - Ottawa

I had a great time there. Robyn, our server was very nice and helpful, she explained items on the menu to us and answered all our questions. The pizza was really good too. Very solid crust. I'd definitely go back.

I love the taste of their pizzas. It has that “unique” flavour and the sauce that they use is just a little bit sweet which makes it perfect. I tried a poutine for the first time and was blown away at how amazing it was. Please try a poutine from here it will blow you away.

On April 29/22 I called to make an order at 6 pm. The line was busy, so I signed up to order my large Canadian Pizza on their website, they ask you what kind of crust you want. I know Friday nights are really busy. I can appreciate that with all the Uber/Skip the dishes drivers. Usually I make my order before I leave work and by the time I drive home it’s ready for pick up. Which it was. But when I got home the pizza looked like it came from Pizza Pizza!!!! It was thin crust and I ordered regular crust. Well the Canadian pizza only had mushrooms and pepperoni on it. Where is the bacon????? I was really disappointed. I called the young lady that answered I told her the story, she took name and phone number but management never returned my call. I decided to call again on May 2nd, spoke with management and he couldn’t care less about his customers therefore I will never purchase a pizza from them again! Too bad as I like support my community.

Not quite what I expected. Thought they would have more of a selection. Food was not anything special but service was friendly. The lasagna was rather disappointing. They also have a make your own pizza special on Tuesday for the kids. The kids get to put the tomato sauce, cheese and pepperonis on their own personal sized pizza.

Best pizza ever. The Coconut cream pie is to die for. Service is exceptional

Colonnade pizza is without a doubt the best pizza in Ottawa. My family has tried many, many pizza restaurants in the greater Ottawa area and nothing compares to Colonnade. Specifically, the sauce and crust are on another level. If you're like my family, get the thin crust. We've been eating Colonnade Pizza for over 2 decades and it is still our easy go-to pizza on Friday nights. The staff at the Barrhaven location are always extremely friendly. They are clearly very passionate about the food they make and we love seeing them. If you've driven past any of Colonnade Pizza locations in Ottawa, do yourself a favor and grab a delicious, perfectly baked pie. You won't regret it.

Had a large order for 24 people, and they went out of there way for me. Food was delicious. Thank you very much !!

Just had breakfast at Colonnade while waiting for my car to come out of surgery next door and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Scrambled eggs were firm, sausages cut open and cooked nice and crispy as the bacon was as well, home fries perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and with endless cups of GOOD coffee. My one disappointment is that it is only open for breakfast Thursdays to Sundays, but boy am I glad I was there on a Friday! I think the word "Pizza" in its name drags the perception of this establishment down as it is definitely not some sketchy pizza joint! Would recommend it to anyone!

I was surprised when I walked in that it was so big and I was promptly greeted at the door. The service was excellent and friendly. It has the neighborhood feel to it that I like. It wasn't noisy which was a plus! The food, I had breakfast, was excellent and the coffee was delish! But best of all is the prices are decent! I will gladly return to this gem!

Colonnade Pizza has the best Pizza ever ( love the meat lovers thin crust well done). And.... their coconut cream pie is the best...EVER !

Yesterday I had one of the best breakfasts in a long time. Definitely going back.

Love their food. The owners and servers are amazing.and all the costumers are so friendly everyone seem to enjoy talking to everyone else.

My husband and I have been going since they opened their doors. Always prompt friendly efficient service. We never leave hungry.

I have been going to Colonnade in Barrhaven for two years now on a fairly regular basis.  The food quality is excellent.  My daughter and I enjoy the breakfast and pop in from time to time for dessert.  The staff are really nice and efficient.  The restaurant is clean, the washrooms are clean, and the food is consistent.

Been living in Barrhaven since 88. This is the best and most consistent pizza in Barrhaven. Some are okay sometimes but Colonnade is the only one that is always good.

I have visited this location multiple times both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is very good, as well as excellently priced. If you go in the evening, their pizza is probably the best in all of Ottawa, try the santa fe or the Mediterranean! Service has always been extremely friendly, especially Tony, nicest and funniest waiter I have ever had!

If you like feeling like crap. This pizza is SO salty and yeasty. If you enjoy lots of salt and drinking plenty of water afterwards, enjoy. Horrible pizza, and so greasy. Blarg. Save yourself the trouble and try somewhere else.

Terrible service and bogus upsells. Everyone is stressed and in a rush/ not pleasant to talk too. its supposed to be a relaxing eat out experience but i find myself being stared down by the staff as if they are mad that i'm taking their time. also, everything is ridiculously expensive especially any substitutions on the pizzas as they do not deduct cost for removed toppings yet still charge a whopping 3$ for basic toppings on a medium pizza (mushroom, pepper, pineapple etc)

Service, food quality has become rushed, unfriendly and billing questionable since they opened!. Last time I ate here on October 28th, 2014....I was very unhappy with the service and my credit card was double scanned for payment as advised my Master Card the first week of November when They e-mailed me and froze my account temporarily to prevent a double charge! <br/>The blonde gal in the restaurant is abrupt, removes dishes from the table without asking whether we are finished with the food still on top of them. This really upset my 8 yr. old nephew who was dining there in August 2014 and lost a plate before him NOT being asked if he was finished!<br/>He was so upset by this particular waitress, he does not want to return to the restaurant!<br/>It's NOT McDonalds...we pay $40-$70 each time to dine here...HELLO!<br/>On the 28th I ordered a Greek salad for $5.95 as MY appertizer! Before I could enjoy each bite thoroughly and take my time and enjoy this great appertizer, my main course of Spaghetti with Meatballs & Mushrooms arrived?! <br/>I sent the entry back as I did not want it to get cold sitting on the table while I finished my Greek salad entree!<br/>Both waitress and chef "Sir rush-alot" gave me disgusting looks as he had to through the entree out! MMM....too bad...slow down..entree means entree! <br/>Again, it's NOT a McDonalds with the amount of $'s being spent to eat here each time!<br/>I used to eat here 2 time a week, NOW...who knows!<br/>Slow down staff, let people enjoy the NON-McDonalds atmosphere and SPEND more time serving customers and providing excellent service rather than clean every table as if it was the "Amazing Race"!<br/><br/>Geesh!<br/><br/>Signed,<br/><br/>An unhappy customer!

Their pizzas are the best! The way the double bake the cheese and the amount of sauce they put is perfect! All their toppings taste fresh and the crust is cooked perfectly. Honestly the best pizza in Ottawa! For the $2 more you pay vs PizzaPizza ... Well worth it. Cheaper than Gabriel's Pizza too!

Their pizza is always AMAZING. Homemade, fresh, delicious and not overpriced! And I also love that they have a "personal" size available for takeout!

Glad They're Now in Barrhaven!. I have been going to the Colonnade since I was a kid and they only had one location downtown. Now that I'm all grown up & living in Barrhaven, I used to drive all the way to Merivale & Baseline to get their pizza. A long drive, but well worth it for their delicious pizza! Best in Ottawa, as far as I am concerned!<br/><br/>I'm so glad they've now opened up in Barrhaven. We'll be able to enjoy their amazing pizza more frequently now.<br/><br/>Thanks, Colonnade.

Good pizza. Went for lunch with my wife,i had the combo with hot peppers and my wife had the veggie pizza with hot peppers both were very good,our server was friendly and nice.

WILL NOT GO BACK EVER AGAIN!. Went to the downtown location at 280 metcalfe Ordered two large pizzas and it came out to $50.52. There was four of us. As soon as we walked in, a bunch of old Italian folks gave us dirty stares like we were intruding on their privacy. We didn't think much of it, the restaurant was completely empty. We thought they would have liked our business, after all we were gonna drop a half bill on two pizzas. When we went to sit down, the old Italian woman kicked us out because there was a sit down fee? A sit down fee? WTF????? We paid for the pizza pick up and we left. Will not ever be going back. Poor business model, run by lazy old folks. Ciao.

Breakfast Until 2:00pm. Hey ... a restaurant that realizes not everyone gets up before 10 am. Serves breakfast to 2 pm. First time visitor today, very clean, open and of course not busy at 10:30-11:30. Good service, good basic bacon/egg breakfast with choice of beans instead of home fries. Waffle was great too. Next time may order the fruit option. Will definitely be back.

Good pizza but horrible lasagna! The lasagna was literally over cooked noodles slapped on a plate with sauce and a layer of cheese! In between noodles, was plain with no sauce or cheese or any sort of flavour. Wished I ordered pizza instead

Great Pizza!. We love the pizza! Best in Barrhaven right now. Can't comment on in-house dining as we always pick it up - but have always had great pizza - we order the Meat Lovers and it's awesome!

Consistenly GOOD food & service. Have never had anything but a great pizza with fast and friendly service.<br/>Amazed to read other reports to the contrary. Consider giving them 1 more chance to alter your experience, I am sure you will be rewarded with a terrific meal and outing.

Best pizza in Ottawa. I was confused by some of the negative reviews by other reviewers here, until, I read some of their reviews on other restaurants that they said they "did" like, and it made sense that they do not know what they are talking about when it comes to pizza. Basically, up until now barrhaven did not have a good pizza place, I have tried them all, I won't name them, but they were all disappointing. I used to drive out of my way to the south end to either pick up KS in south keys or Gloria's. Finally we have, not only, a great pizza place in barrhaven, but in my opinion the perfect pizza...perfect cheese...perfect crust...quality toppings...perfect thickness or thinness if you will...never burnt...never undercooked...so perfect that you will want to thank them every single time you order. Ps...maybe some of the other reviews are by domino's, pizza pizza, san marino's,milano's, gabriels, or some of the ones in manotick....there, I named some....if you want cardboard pizza or doughy gnarly bread pizza,then order some of those, but if you want the best in Ottawa, get colonnade.

Still The Best. I have eaten their twice.....both times service could of been a little faster but nothing bad enough to make me not want to go there. Given that they just opened its understandable. They still have the best pizza in town by far and I am so happy to finally have one here in barhaven....

Needs work. Went here the first week they opened and it was a disaster. decided to try again tonihgt and again received slow service, average pizza, dirty dishes, no soap in washroom, no refills on drinks. come on guys....get it together already

Great Food, Great Service. I dined in the first weekend it opened and the restaurant was packed. The service was very backed up (understanding since it was opening week), but the food was still good. I gave it a second try yesterday and the place was again very busy but this time a lot more organized and the food and service was amazing!! I am so glad Colonnade Pizza opened close to home, will defiantly be returning.
