I ordered the vegan chicken with vermicelli noodles served with mint, lettuce, cucumber, pickle carrots, peanuts and tofu. I also added a spring roll. It was delicious! I would absolutely buy this meal again. For once, I've found a vegan meal that's flavourful and satisfying. I'm very impressed with the taste, portion size, and the price was right too. Thank you for catering to vegans!

Excellent ginger chicken stir fry. Quality meat, light delicious sauce, and crunchy fresh veggies - perfect! Partner also enjoyed the vegan pad Thai albeit its a traditional version with few added veggies. Careful, considerate service dining in amidst COVID. Spring Rolls were fresh and tasty and longer than usual - good!
Overall - enjoyable midweek dining experience at reasonable prices.

Went here today with my s/in-law for lunch. I had the beef Thai veg curry, it comes with rice. It was really good. Delicious in fact. I was stuffed after, and still am; hours after!! Will definitely go back again. 🤗

If you enjoy General Tso do not get it here. Besides the tiny size the chicken was in a soaking in the container in a red liquid that did not taste like General Tso. Very dissatisfied, this was the most unappealing one I have ever had.

What a terrible experience I ordered the general Taos chicken, Pad vegetable with beef and 6 Spring rolls the the general soul chicken was 3/4 full not even a full container at 15 something dollars the most expensive in Ottawa The pathai vegetables smells sour and taste disgusting I have to throw that hole this out when I called she made an excuse that they got new content containers and that this container was bigger than the normal container and that this is a sprite amount of general Troy's chicken you can literally count the pieces of chicken and there's a lot of vegetables

Best restaurant in the world! Food is always amazing and I have never disliked anything I have ordered! The owner is really nice and remembers her customers and will come and talk to you, which gives it a special something. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are great as well.
If you are a vegan and are hanging out with meat eating friends this is the best place to go! You can bring them out for a meal you both enjoy with no compromises.

Amazing, fresh tasting food! One of the best asian food places I've ever eaten at. Consistently high quality food, I've eaten here 7-8 times, and will come back no questions asked. They have a wide menu to support everyone's tastes, including vegan options for those so inclined. Pricing is fair, portions are well sized, and service is solid. Another great plus is that their take-out options don't suffer, unlike a lot of places that just "aren't as good at home". If you try them, you won't be disappointed!

This has become one of my favourite places to eat out . They have a great selection of delicious vegan dishes and the staff understands it's vegan clientele . Just be careful not to park in the strip mall or you will get a hefty ticket ( $55.00 ) even on Saturday .

great new restaurant for veg/ans who are down with mock meats. most dishes have the choice of tofu, "chicken", "beef" or "pork" as the protein. so far i've sampled the pad thai, shanghai noodles, sweet potato noodles, vegetable curry - which were all great - but the general tso "chicken" leads the pack. ambiance is a little Dennys-y as the restaurant is carved into the corner of, you guessed it, a Dennys. worth the trip from Centretown to Nepean and deserving of support from the area veg/an community! So Good!

I have dropped into Asian Stars about six times now so feel like I can comment on the following: this is an "all right" place but the food is nothing special. The service last time I was there was indifferent, an aspect of the dining experience I find unacceptable. There is no reason to return as there are more pleasant eateries nearby that offer a more welcoming ambiance.

Oh my goodness realy awesome vegan options.....had the vegan orange "chicken" was very good....could have been less sweet and more orange spicy......but will be back to try some of there other options

I love the vegan choices here more than the meat ones! Very tasty and fresh, and I love the service. If I lived closer I would eat here way more often. When I am on Merivale I love stopping in. The shakes/bubble tea are awesome and dairy free on request. I love that they have wifi so you can dine alone, too.

I was always travelling to Somerset and Lebreton area but once I discovered this spot it was an easy switch. The pad Thai is soooo good and their broths are for real, no 75% fish sauce here. They seem to take the time to get the flavours right. I've been a fan of Viet cuisine for some time now and over the years this is one to revisit, again and again.....and again. Try it, enjoy it.

Tasty food and great service!. We went here for the first time tonight and everything was really good. Our beers even came with chilled steins:-) I had the tom yum with chicken, which was really good. The chicken was good quality and the sauce was fantastic- not too sweet. The vermicelli looked good too with fresh mint and beans sprouts. <br/>we will definitely be going back again- and the prices are great.

Great food with fast delivery. When ordering delivery there's always the concern of delivery time and temperature of the food. We ordered from Asian Stars last night and were very impressed. Food arrived 10 minutes earlier than quoted time and it was piping hot. Great Curried Beef, General Tao's chicken and stir fried Veggies. All fresh and the flavours were perfect. A big thumbs up recommendation.

Terrible. I normally never write reviews but this place is so bad I had to make one. I ordered the lunch special general tao chicken with a springroll. The springroll was meh and the general tao chicken was terrible plua the portions were so cheap. I should not be hungry after spending 15 dollars. Ridiculous

So good. Great spot, the Pho is beefy as it should be not full of fish sauce as some(most) places do. The Pad Thai is killer and the spring rolls are wonderful. I've been to a lot of Vietnamese/Thai restaurants and the food that Asian Stars produces sets the standard in my opinion.

Outstanding!. Amazing staff! Delicious food!<br/><br/>My friend and I came in to sample the vegan food and were VERY impressed! Many selections to choose from, I couldn't believe that I was eating vegan chicken! It's been a long time since I've such a pleasant dining experience.<br/><br/>What meant the most to me was how accommodating and kind the staff was to my 8 month old daughter. I asked for a side of tofu for her expecting a slab on a plate with some sauce but when they brought it out it was finely cut, cooked and lightly sauced - they even garnished it for her and put it on a fancy plate. I truly felt like they treated her like a customer which was above and beyond my expectations.<br/><br/>Our server was knowledgeable and made recommendations (which were bang on!).<br/><br/>I can't recommend this place enough, We will be back for sure!

Great food. Asian Stars catered a staff event for us and the menu selections were varied and delicious. We were able to accommodate a number of staff with dietary issues and still provide a good variety of choice and everyone expressed their appreciation of the taste and variety. I recommend this Restaurant.

Great food and service. We've eaten here twice now and really like it. Generous portions, delicious food, and solid service. The fresh rice paper rolls are SO good!! Everything was obviously very fresh and carefully prepared.<br/><br/><br/>-----23 Sep, 2014-----<br/><br/>Great vegan selections!. We love their vegan menu, great selection of dishes to choose from! The fresh vegetarian rice rolls (V02) were out of this world delicious, next time I'm getting 2 orders of them!! Pad thai was good, and I was unfortunately too stuffed for dessert, which looked great.

Great restaurant. Went for lunch on a Sunday and had a great meal. Portions were generous and everything was well prepared and well seasoned. The service was attentive and I would definitely recommend Asian Stars for a casual meal out to anyone.

Msg. Food is great (orange chicken) , server was great (young Asian gentlemen) when we we're paying I asked the lady who's a bit confusing if they used msg she said just a little bit I'm not sure what does it mean little bit can you tell me how much msg was used for a pho soup?

Excellent Vegan Cuisine. Great staff and great vegan. Many tradition dishes converted to vegan and the kitchen keeps all vegan separated from non-vegan. Nice casual decor as well.<br/>It's attached to the Denny's on Clyde so it is very easy to find.

Vegan Options; Delicious Food. Definitely worth going to for lunch. Food and portions were very good. Great service, clean environment, and not too busy.<br/><br/>Stuck to the vegan menu, and was not disappointed in the least.<br/>The vegan glass noodles were delicious.<br/><br/>Will definitely be back, and will also take advantage of their take-out option.

Orange Chicken. A very nice restaurant, plenty of parking and very clean inside. I ordered the Orange chicken and was very happy with the time it took from order to served. the meal was delicious. the service was a little sllow for others in my group but that will come with a little more experince.the prices are very good as well. I will definately eat here again.

Thai Curry with Beef. The beef was very tender and the curry was quite flavourful. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. For dessert we were recommended the roasted pineapple topped with cinnamon and brown sugar accompanied with a side of ice cream. A simple dessert but WOW! I did not expect such a great combination of sweet and tart. Will be returning.
