Their food is fresh and tasty and the place was very clean. The lady that prepared our food was very nice and friendly. They were very generous with the fillings. I tried chicken tacos and bulled beef quesadilla they were both great! I also tried steak taco but it was a little overcooked so it wasn’t that great. Overall, I enjoyed my time there. I’m so glad that they offer halal options!

I hate giving reviews this bad, but this place needs some work.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the brown guacamole. I nearly walked out on that alone but I was hungry for a burrito so I pressed on.
Everything else looked edible enough, but the flavours really weren't there, it was pretty bland. When I think of burritos I think of bursts of flavour. Everything was just kind of lacking. The pulled pork was juicy which is nice, but there wasn't much to it.
Having a few more sauces to choose from aside from salsa, sour cream, and their burrito sauce would go a long way to adding that extra punch.
Food poisoning was a genuine concern while eating, but thankfully I was fine. Putting some effort into the presentation of the toppings as they sit there (brown guac is no good) does a lot to make a good first impression.
Overall I wasn't exactly happy with my experience. The food was edible, but not exactly tasty, and food quality was a concern. If things changed a bit I'd probably try it again because I see the potential for something great here

I wasn't sure what to get since it was my first time there. I simply asked the guy to make me what he thought I would like, and he NAILED it. Fresh veggies and large portions. Definately a top 5 place to eat in Ottawa so far.

Quality was ok. We paid extra for guacamole and got barely a teaspoon worth of it put on the burrito. If it was free of charge I would understand but the fact that we paid extra for it and barely got any means we won't be back.

I ordered a burrito bowl during lunchtime, they were very busy but were able to make and prepare my food in-front of me. Customer service was not very good, very rude at times but food was good. Although I think they should melt the cheese on top instead of keeping it cold.

Great fresh food at a reasonable price. Fast friendly service. My go to is a small burrito which is still huge. My only gripe is access and parking, the lot is small serving many businesses and access from Bank is blocked by a median, you have to know the area to get access from North bound Bank St. via Hunt Club and similarly, to leave you need to exit on Hunt Club and loop around via Walmart to go South on Bank when leaving.

Seems humble on the outside, and like a run-of-the-mill fast food joint on the inside, but Burrito Gringo's food is impressive. Everything tastes fresh, home-made, and perfectly seasoned. Variety of spiciness levels and spicy add-ons (jalapenos, sauces, etc.) to keep a variety of palates happy. Plenty of gluten-free options, plus fast service and reasonable prices. Their large burrito is serious, probably too much unless you're dying of hunger; a small burrito for lunch is plenty for me. <br/><br/>Burrito Gringo outclasses nearby Mucho Burrito completely, it's not even close. This place is a total win, and a nice change from the usual Ottawa fast-food scene of burgers, shawarmas and poutines. Hope it stays in business, since the location is a bit awkward and even during lunch hours I'm seeing only a handful of customers!

Locally owned and operated. Fresh cooked on site and good portion sizes. There's a few around town. My kids even love it. I'd suggest it to anyone

Delicious, best Mexican in Ottawa hands down! I've been to a few places and this place has the freshest meat, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Best dish in my opinion is the steak burrito.

The best burrito joint I have ever had!!!!. I recently moved to Ottawa from Rhode Island and came across this joint called burrito gringo. They have the most amazing burritos, quesadillas, nachos, salads I have ever had. The food is so fresh, it's like I am making it myself at home. To be honest, I would rather go there instead of cooking at home since it's homemade food and it's cheaper for me to buy it than make it. I also love the friendly service I get each time I go there. I wish they had a place like this in RI.
