I nice mom and pop type of restaurant! The restaurant atmosphere and food was warm, tasty and generously portioned. Besides the Korean food, they also have some sushi! I personally think their Korean food and gimbap shined the best here. Will definitely be coming again to try their other dishes :D

Kochu on Preston St. is one of my favourite sushi places in the city. Been with them since way back when they had the Elgin St location. Excellent menu and a brown rice option. Quick and efficient service, especially if you order ahead.

This is so far my favorite place in Ottawa!! Food is delicious, price is good and service and convenience are on point.
My husban and I make sure to go there as much as we can.
Best find so far since we move to Ottawa!

Amazing!! I got the Elgin Bento Box, I 10/10 recommend, the sushi is incredible and they give just enough condiments, perfectly prepared. I will definitely order again.

This was my first time at Kochu. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant and the restaurant is clean. I like how it’s open till midnight Friday and Saturday. Located in Little Italy this is a great spot for good quality Korean. I’ll definitely be back and next time try the sushi.

The food is fantastic. You'll find great sushi or Korean food there. Word of warning for those looking to have their birthday there. If you bring a cake they will charge you 18% on top of your bill. You will have to set up your cake yourself and they don't have the tools for bigger cakes. So probably eat cake at home instead.

The sushi and nigiri quality was good. I have high standards as I’m from Vancouver. Sushi quality is also high standard in Korea.
To the owner: I noticed tonight that a cancellation of an order was made on UberEats over the phone because the staff were not able to get the order out within a reasonable amount of time, and that you tried to make it right, but failed. I also waited longer than I had wanted to, but they kept me up to date on the progress without me asking and I really appreciated this and the sincerity they showed when apologising for the delay. I understand that it hurts a business to disappoint customers who may never order again, and you were right to express your disappointment to your staff so they take it seriously. But I also see that they work very hard, so I hope that once in a while you also compliment them on their efforts when they do do well. There is a time and a place to berate staff. And usually that’s when customers aren’t around.
