Delicious! Greasy and a little bit too salty but the flavors are awesome. Our burgers were juicy and tasted like homemade: just perfect.
My first time to Five Guys. Burger and fries were ok. Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaints are the LOUD BLARING music and very cold sitting area.
If you want the perfect burger and a huge serving of fries this is the place. They are masters at what they do and they keep the menu simple and straightforward. You can customize your burger the way you want and ingredients are fresh and the beef is not frozen
I highly recommend this place
If I want a good burger and fries as s guilty pleasure, this is the place. Always reliable and tasty! Better than going to mac Donald's lol
If something is this simple it must be perfect. That is five guys. It is a burger joint with just that, burgers and fries. Moist foil wrapped burgers made to order and packed with juicy flavour. Crunchy home fries with the option of Cajun spice mix are perfect. Pair this with a fountain drink and you are in burger heaven. Bliss!
Enjoy!
One of the best burgers I have had, that's for sure. Simple style cooking with perfect execution. Moist patty, crispy bacon, great selection of fresh toppings. Cajun style fries in a portion size you won't believe. No need for a large option, small will get you half a bag.. All round excellent
The best burger so far. Should try a lot though. I took the Bacon Cheeseburger and a cup if small fries. The burger bun was fresh, the beef patty was really juicy and amazing. I could add so many toppings in it for free and extra again. Wow that's something. Then the fries, took a medium or the small cup of it. They filled it full and fries twice the quantity of the cup, were added extra to my bag. And you could take unlimited Peanuts from a box. They servers were so friendly and suggestive. Would remember this burger. Overall : Amazing
one of the best burgers I ever had in my life
meat is tasty and light, the sandwich in all is yummy, don't forget the fried potatoes, very natural and crunchy
the price is excellent, around 4.5 dollars for the burger.
highly recommend this place
Take it to go!. The reviews that refer to the blaring, glaring, cluttered atmosphere and messy floors are right. If you are going to serve delicious salted peanuts in the shell to clients waiting in the place-order-here line, you're going to have to allow them to throw the shells on the floor. Burgers and fries like you used to be able to get when you (or your mom) was a kid.
Nothing fancy. Just great burgers and fries.. Burgers are back in vogue and it’s a trend that seems to be building steam as new places pop up around town. I’ve tried the burgers in many places and this place keeps me coming back. It’s not for the ambience or décor. It’s not because they reinvented the burger, it’s because they stick to the basics of what a good burger should be.
The décor is diner plain, loud and you get free peanuts. I try to avoid the peanuts as the amount of food you get is colossal.
The little burger is enough for one person while the regular burger is hard to finish by one’s self. The toppings are plenty and also fresh. You pick and choose what you like which is a nice change from pre-set options. The burger is fried which I guess keeps moist and flavoursome. Not the healthiest I know, but I’m not eating here on a daily basis. Many places that grill their burgers overcook them and they come out dry or slightly burnt (e.g. Chez Lucien, Royal Oak) which ruins the whole flavour experience. Don’t get me wrong, I love Bar-B-Qed burgers done right, but I think they’re on to something by frying them in their own juices.
The fries are fresh cut and as good as or better than chip truck fries. The food is served in paper bags, so if you get fires, they top the bag up with them. Although, the prices may seem high, you get good value when you consider the portions. Drink refills are free too. Another plus is that they do not nickel and dime you if you want pickles on the side for instance.
The bathrooms and the place in general are consistently kept clean which is more than I can say for some places. It may seem like a trivial thing, but people often forget how much of a difference this can make when eating out. You may have great food, but if the bathrooms are not up kept then it can ruin the experience.
I would recommend this place.
Turn down the music!. Am I getting old?...sure but when you can't hear what the person across the table is saying because the music is blaring, the dining experience is diminished to that of dining next to the 417. It's a noisy restaurant (we always try to get a spot outside) but the burgers and fries are good. I'm not fond of their bacon, it tastes artificial to me. You can get your hamburger in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce if you are watching your carb intake.
Was surprised at the high price for a cheeseburger but well worth it. The restaurant was to full to eat in but it was a testament to how good the food it. Will come again.
Good food. American feel. Had the double bacon cheeseburger with a regular fry which was way too much food for one meal(even for the large man I am).
ALERGY WARNING: Peanut oil used for fries. Peanuts in open bins for "while you wait."
With all the hype my expectation was high! Peanuts while you wait is nice. A little pricey for burger and fries. Lots of fresh toppings on the burger. Would it kill a restaurant to put a little seasoning in their burger!!?! Fries were fresh and crisp. When I pay top dollar for a burger I want flavour- and you can hold the limp piece of Kraft cheese slice. I want real cheddar!
Good for fast food! A bit pricier than I would like for fast food. Better than hintonburger, but not the Works!
Come here for a good greasy Burger. Don't come for the fries. If you order fries, get a small.
The place was really dirty. Burgers and fries were overpriced and not very good. I had been looking forward to eating here, but I would never go back.
Greater than Barrhaven. Less than Mississauga.
Definitely ranks in my top fav burgers in Ottawa (with Hintonburger and Vera). I had the little cheeseburger which was anything but little. Loved the cajun fries - it's true that they were a bit undercooked, but that's how I like my fries. And a regular size fry was plenty for 2. Luved it!
Good, not cheap. The small burger and fries are alot of food and I am a pretty big eater! The burgers were good and consistent with the Stittsville location. The food isnt cheap but its reasonable considering the value.
Awesome burgers. When's the last time you can say you had a great burger? Not really good, not excellent, but great? This was a great burger. Two little bacon cheeseburgers, one regular order of fries and two regular drinks for about $21. Keep that burger wrapped, it's messy. But it's incredibly good. The fries that others have said were oversalted were not salted at all. I would have preferred they be cooked another minute or two. The drinks have free refills, the peanuts are unlimited and free and one order of fries will feed two. Better than Wendy's. *Way* better than the Works. I left full. I left happy.
What to say? Straight forward burgers with lots of meat and fries. No frills but cheap and tasty.
Standard burger is a heavy double pattie burger about 1/2 pounder. You can have a single pattie one for smaller appetites. I had the bacon cheese burger. Like the other reviews, the bacon was over cooked and the cheese not melted. The bun is too small for the burger and it quickly disintegrated as I was eating. I ordered it with everything (pickles, tomatoes, mayo, grilled onions and mushrooms, ketchup and mustard). The fries are large portions. Unlike the other reviewers I didn't find my fries salty at all. I ordered the Cajun style ones. I think people in Ottawa are afraid of having a little taste in their meal! The place doesn't have enough seats during lunch service, so be ready to eat in your car or take it home. Good deal, but burger could still have more flavour.
A ridiculous hamburgerlicious!!. Lots of bang for your buck here at Five Guys!!! Not only are the hamburgers to die for, but they are HUGE, juicy and done to perfection. They certainly don't cut corners with their portions. The portion of fries are equally as good and better than other fast food.
The place was hopping, great music, fast-paced service with lots of synergy and team work going on. Nice to see staff working with a smile on their face and eager to please the customer. Sign of good management . Good Luck Guys!!
If you like burgers you need to go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, I know I’ll be there a lot. If you end up in line make sure not to snack too much on the free peanuts or you won’t have any room for your burger!
Today for lunch I visited Five Guys Burgers & Fries ( 525 Industrial Avenue, Ottawa ). This was the third visit to this location which I've had mixed results with. The first visit, at the beginning of October, my wife and I visited this location as our first time ever to a Five Guys Burgers & Fries. After reviewing the menu, I chose a Hamburger, Large Fries and Regular drink. My wife chose a Little Hamburger and a drink. This came to over $25.00! It took a while as well for our food to be prepared as, like at T.C.'S Fish & Burgers in Aurora , the restaurant makes it to order (i.e. you order, they start preparing your meal). Good thing my wife didn't order her own fries. The large fries are good enough for two people. My hamburger turned out to be a two patty burger with all the trimmings while my wife's small hamburger was a tradtional single pattied burger. Overall, I used this first time visit to refine my order for the next two attempts. My second attempt was lunch at hi
