Not the greatest food and for big portions you get veg cause only received a little chicken and bad cuts of fatty beef for a 20$ mixed plater.. the rice was good! Bad experience im sorry

I’ve only ever purchased chicken and beef shawarma plates here - probably a total of 20 times over a period of 5 years. The quality has always been consistently great.
The value is incredible, 25$ (including tax and tip) for a meal with a wide variety of flavours that will stuff 2 adults with leftovers.
The baklava and the juices they stock in the fridge are good as well.

Too expensive Family platter $70. Unfriendly staff. Small portions. I prefer to drive to Hazeldean to Shawarma Prince. Fantastic $50 family platter, HUGE generous portions and really friendly staff. Yes it's farther away but worth it. Also Garlic and Shawarma on Richmond Road is recommended.

I do come in this store every now and then and it is usually busy during peak hours. Low star rating due to the rip off based on the amount of garlic dip I paid for. Not only has this happened once but several times I've recieved the item in this location. Not sure if this happens in other locations as I haven't checked it out yet. Trick is they usually get it from under the counter rather than showing you the amount they put in the container right front of you. You can't also know when whether it's been fresh or not if they pick it up from ready-to-go container under the counter. Not very professional or Impressed.

A friend recommended this as the best shawarma place in Kanata and they were right. Everything was fresh and they had more options than any other shawarma places (including more than one type of bread) + the people working there were very friendly. Definitely will be choosing this over any other shawarma place in Kanata from now on.

Shawarma House Kanata is an amazing establishment that makes your taste buds have a party like nowhere else.
In addition to the welcoming polite and informative staff, the menu is so inclusive that it covers almost all tastes...evening you are not into ethnic foods they offer wings, poutine, garlic potatoes, fries and salads.
For the meat lovers, you are in heaven with the choices of Kababs or shawarma - chickenor beef- that is slowly cooking before your eyes. The smell is amazing and the taste is out of this world.
The protein portion of the meals are complemented with hommus and garlic and hot sauces, and fattouch and tabouli salads. The garlic potatoes taste is amazing, with or without be the protein.
Two sides of rice as options make it hard for you to decide...I had to ask for half in half!
Vegetarian side choices include Falafel, and fried eggplant and fried cauliflower.... Dipped with tahini sauce, it makes you wonder why you thought vegetarian food taste so plain...
The baklava choices are available from personal to family size, and they are sooo well done in an ethnic bakery in Montreal. They are not loaded with syrup or too sweet to enjoy... I am diabetic and I can easily have one or two pieces a day... Do not take my word for it, try it yourself!
The eat in section is so big and is comfy, with booths and tables with chairs.
This place is so classy and the service makes it feel like multiple star restaurant...
I strongly recommend you come in and try it. This place has so many precautions to protect staff and clients. One of very few places that put hand sanitizer on every table two months ago!
I talked to the owner about getting some foods for a little get together... I was surprised by that he caters for all occasions and they custom make the menu to include some yummy choices like Kibbeh, spinash pockets, and so many yummy finger foods. I was surprised how reasonable his prices were.
I strongly recommend you call and get your order prepared, and pick it up to support these amazing restaurants in this pandamic. I want you to know that delivery partners charge you at least $3.99 then they cut 30% of what you pay and give the restaurant ONLY 70% ... Support restaurants by ordering PICK UP!

Staff was really friendly despite us arriving 10 minutes before closing! The portions are generous, and the food is so good!

The guy today was outright curt.
I mostly like this place and rated 5 earlier, but today's experience soured it.
Almost all of them are very nice, but this one guy is curt.

Great shawarma. Very good price. Great spicy garlic and the potatoes are unreal. I enjoy it more the famous shawarma palace, however my friends would disagree, however still highly rate this place.

You can't get a better shawarma than at one of these places. The staff who make your sandwiches are always really witty and joke around with you too. Love their garlic potatoes as well.

Though it may just be my luck, I find that the shawarma's are very dry. Been here only a few times before and I don't plan on going back any time soon.

Tasty!
First time I went there the guy was really nice, gave me huge portions which LOVE. Second time served by different guys, good servings again but kind of rude/uninterested attitude. Good food, but I have had much better garlic sauce at other places. I do like it here and would recommend it to others@

I went there almost every Friday for 3 years, and got the exact same thing every time, and they were completely unable to even remotely remember my order even once.

Always got a chicken salad. Chicken quality & quantity was hit or miss, but the salad overall was a pretty good size. Their garlic sauce was awesome though, so gotta give them points for that. Best shawarma option in the area though.

The food was good but I had to ask for the side 3 times. Finally the lady at the cash got it. Not a big deal. We will be back

Best shawarma in Kanata. There isn't a ton of shawarma options in Kanata, but this is by far the standout. They take care of the details in their food, including things like good garlic potato and rice seasoning. The chicken shawarma plate ($14) is off-the-hook loaded and can feed a big guy like me twice. Anyhow, def recommend it.

Good food very rude. Food is pretty good but two guys that work there extremely rude on every occasion they have served me, and now I won't return because I've had enough of that and it ruined the experience. not sure how other people do not find them rude it's ridiculous even friends of mine completely agree as well. Also same thing happened to me every time I go what was mentioned below in another comment, they skipped tomatoes 3 times I say everything.... Like what?

I love Shawarma House in Kanata. I go in for the chicken shawarma salad at least once a week when I can. The food is fresh and deliciously seasoned. As someone with a gluten sensitivity, I really appreciate the fact that the tabbouleh is made without bulgur (or other grain). Add to this the super friendly staff and Shawarma House is sure to please. :-)

Decent food but horrible service. I've visited this place a few times since it has opened and I used to be a fan. I'm not sure why but the service seems to get worst every time I visit. My last experience I asked for a small chicken shawarma with everything. They garnished it with everything besides tomatoes and pickles. I assumed he simply forgot and then asked if he could add tomatoes and pickles. The employee rudely remarked that he had already placed both on the sandwich. Needless to say that neither where found in my shawarma after I had eaten it.

Inconsistent, but okay. This place is really inconsistent. I've had a few good shawarmas from them, but sometimes the chicken is really dry. The last time I went, there was an old man preparing my sandwich and he wiped his nose with his glove on!!! It was so gross, which is why I downvoted this restaurant. The rice and the potatoes here are probably my favourite in the city, but I can't see past that one moment.

Have been quite a few times now. The shawarmas are just as good as the best in Ottawa, and most of the staff are very friendly!
Celine
THE BEST. My husband and I own a cottage near this location and for 6 months out of the year we go there each time we go up to the cottage. This is by far the best Shawarma place we have been to and trust me..we have been to alot of them. The portions are ginormous which we can easily separate in 2 portions to have that again for lunch the next day. Prices are good...service is fast and friendly.

The only down side....when you eat in, the music is wayyyy too loud.

Too bad not all Shawarma places are like this one.

5 thumbs up on our part.
TheCookieMonster
I've had better. The chicken is too salty, the potatoes taste weird and the salad did not have much flavor. Enough said.

Great food, great service! I go here all the time for Shawarma and Garlic Potatoes
Brown_eyed_girl
I went last night. I ordered the chicken shwarma platter. I recieved copious amounts of rice, potato, fatoush, tabbouleh, pickles onion and pita...enough to feed two for sure! I thought the chicken tasted great, the tabbouleh tasted homemade, everything was spot on! I found the service friendly, and I will be returning to try them again.

Worst!!!! I ordered at 11.29 am . They told me that the food will be at your house 1pm BUT the food come at 2.03 pm with the chicken's box is opened. You can put your hand to touch the food. The chicken is cold. Not even warm even the fried. And i ask delivery guy. He said just cook it. I Ask him to touch if it hot I will take it if not I won't take it. He said ok you u do need it I take it back. He afraid to touch cause of he knew that it's cold and box stay opened. Finally no apologize and he take his cold food back.
