Review Lebanese Palace - Ottawa

Amazing service. First time trying Lebanese food outside of gyros. Food was delicious and freshly cooked and made. Very kind staff. Would recommend as a family restaurant. Had a wonderful experience with my 6 year old who has promised we will go back again soon. The staff member who served us helped make the experience all the more unique and memorable.

The food is fresh even if it were late at night. The salad was crispy as well as the ingredients. The presentation was agreeable and the prices were reasonable. Covid measures are respected including the wearing of a mask. The server was courteous and I was greeted respectfully. There is a massive parking lot where you can park free of charge. I recommend this restaurant.

It’s ok, the woman working can be a little stingy with the toppings. I usually have to ask for extra lettuce/toum since she puts baby portions. We usually order from shawarma palace but this place is close to our home so it’s just more convenient and it’s never busy when I go in.

We put in a big order today last minute for our entire office and we were not disappointed at all with the quality or services. Great friendly staff and delicious food at a great price! They took the time to hear the entire order by phone and managed to squeeze in serving walk ins at the same time. When I picked up the food I was pleasantly surprised at the inside restaurant being quite nice and found a secret indoor party spot. Fit with a full kitchen, bar and dance floor. It's bright and has a large parking lot. Lots of possibilities! Kudos on the great spot!

The best shawarma I have had in Ottawa so far. I have lived here for 10 years now and tried many places. This one has given us amazing portion size and the taste is true labanese. We got a family portion and will have leftovers. I'm hoping the next time we return it will be the same. Also the potatoes were so good and the beef had great flavor.

Would recommend avoiding. Food is straight up Gross, non-edible. The chicken was rubber, the tomatoes were rotten, the bread was hard and dry, the veggies and salad were all molting, and the garlic was chunky and sour. The potatoes are under cooked. Ended up just tossing the order and getting subway.

Went for my first visit and had the chicken shwarma plater. The food was not only delicious, but a great value. I could not believe how much food you get for the price. The dining room is under renovation, so we ate on the "fast food" side of the restaurant, which is more cafeteria style. I'll be going back to try the buffet when the dining room is open again.

The reason why I’m giving this a 3.5, is because of the service I received last time I went. I’ve been here maybe 3 times, the first two times it was great, service was friendly and respectful. Last time we came here as a big group, everyone in the restaurant left disappointed. But to be fair it was a bad day when the tornadoes had hit ottawa. The food here is great, and the portions are huge! There’s a DJ on Friday, but it’s was pretty loud. I’d come here again during the weekday.

We went around 7:30 pm on Saturday to Lebanese Palace. We<br/>were two couples and we sat outside in the covered patio.  It is setup nice. Food is ok (Not great).<br/>Shisha is good. Service was alright. We left right when the music started<br/>around 10:30.  The music was extremely<br/>loud. We were not able to hear each other even though the music was inside and we were outside.<br/><br/>That said!  <br/><br/>I give the Lebanese Palace five stars in scamming customers<br/><br/>We do not mind paying for good food and nice place to be at<br/>but not being cheated.<br/><br/>First Scam: We ordered off the menu two Shish Kebab Plates<br/>($20/plate). Server gave us the choice of salad (fattoush or tabbouleh) and<br/>rice or fries. So you automatically assume that the plate include some type of<br/>salad and either fries or rice.  So I<br/>order the normal salad and fries and my wife order tabbouleh and rice. However,<br/>we were charged $2 extra each on our bill. <br/>They claimed that salad are not included. So we were not sure why the server would give<br/>us the choice of salad and fries or rice without mentioning the extra charges. The<br/>same thing had happen to our friend couples that were with us. The only<br/>difference was that they ordered chicken kebab plate instead of the shish kebab<br/>plate.<br/><br/>Second Scam: We order two soft drinks with our food. After<br/>that, we order one tea and fruit cocktail. However on the bill, we were charged<br/>two teas.  Same things happened to the other couple.  They ordered 2 soft<br/>drinks with their food and a tea and fruit cocktail after.  They were also charged for an extra tea. <br/><br/>Third scam: We were charged a cover charge of $10 each. Restaurant<br/>host did not mention anything about a $10 cover charge when he sat us nor there was any sign mentioning the cover charge. We have been<br/>to this place once before on weekend to smoke shisha and have drinks but no<br/>food and we were not charged $10 cover charge each. Remember, this is a restaurant and not a night club.<br/><br/>The server fixed the drink issue and it could have been<br/>honest mistake on his end but regarding the other extra charges it is obvious<br/>that they are scammer.

The food was good and serve hot, also the salad was fresh. They have a good variety of choice on the menu.The decor is nice and lots of room. But the service was poor only one server for about 36 to 40 persons.

Good spot .... Nice decor and the food was good. The only thing we found really odd was that the pita was given to us in a plastic bag - like how you would get it at a takeout shawarma spot. I'm not being snobby but if you're gonna decorate your restaurant classy, you may want to take the pita out of the bag before bringing it to the table.

June 12/16 - Pretty new restaurant, only open for a few months now. Food was awesome. The Kibbeh nayeh was served in a marble mortar and pestle. Seemed odd at 1st but then we realized it kept the meat quite cold, best way to eat it. No shortage of pita bread...all homemade. Most of us had the meat skewers, the meat was very tender and delicious. Service was not the best but the server compensated us in our bill. Definitely recommend this place to anybody. Gotta go back on a Saturday when the band is playing.
