I love this shop!! I come in for their beautifully decorated cookies and the peanut butter chocolate squares are better than any reese's pieces I've ever tasted. Such an incredible shop!
Up until today my mother made the best butter tarts I had ever eaten. I just bought one at Three Tarts and they are now number one in my books. My wife says her raspberry scone was also delicious. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
Best butter tarts in town! I've never been disappointed with any dessert I've purchased from these lovely ladies.
I was visiting from the US for my son's wedding and needed to order a number of pies for the rehearsal dinner. Three Tarts was so accommodating and even made a couple strawberry rhubarb tarts for me, even though they weren't on the menu. We had two flavors of tarts and two flavors of pies and all got rave reviews! I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose. They also put little cut out hearts on all the pies in honor of the wedding, so really went above and beyond for me. I also bought some of the Canada cookies, just because I couldn't resist how cute they were. Excellent product, great service!
Love, love, love. The chocolate pecan pie was amazing. Looking forward to tasting the Apple Crumble tomorrow.
I love the tarts. The fruity custard is incredibly enjoyable.
There is no other bakery in town that compares ! Everything is always made with quality ingredients and to perfection!
I’ve been getting birthday cakes here for the last year. They are always so delicious and fresh. Service is great and prices are awesome for the gourmet product you get.
I purchased three different desserts for a birthday party. I had ordered them a few days prior. Everything was ready to go upon my arrival. The carrot cake was moist and delicious, the lemon cheese cake was smooth and light and the seasonal peach tart was fresh and delicate. All three desserts were to die for. BUT the lemon cheese cake remains my favorite.
I ordered three desserts to take out: their vanilla cake, the vanilla apple tart, and a raspberry fruit tart. All three were amazing - not too sweet like most desserts, with a ton of flavor and amazing textures. The staff were really friendly and helpful in selecting the right desserts to pick for my guests. This is my new favorite dessert place in Ottawa hands down.
Their desserts are tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and welcoming. But it would be nice if the interior had a bit more character or if there were room to sit and eat there.
Friendly staff! Great cookies, however, are quite overpriced.
The lemon loaf and banana bread are delicious and I'd recommend giving a try. Great with tea. The banana bread in particular is better than Art-Is-In's version!
The tarts are too rich (overly buttery in a bad way where it's simply too much butter) where it doesn't taste good and leaves you feeling ill. I know a tart is supposed to be buttery but theirs are simply too greasy.
I can't get enough of Three Tarts! Â The lemon tart is absolutely sublime-so tangy and fresh- my favourite. Â The date squares and butter tarts are also amazing and the best I have had in the city. I brought some to a family picnic in Toronto and now whenever I visit, these are in demand by family and friends. Â My kids love the brownies as well as the fudge cake and the cookies. Â The chocolate mousse cake is always my go-to when I need a decadent gluten-free dessert to please all guests.
I find the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and have never had a bad experience. Â I am so happy to have such a high quality bake shop in my neighbourhood.
Everything here is delicious and fresh every time! Nice little shop with friendly, helpful staff. I've never been disappointed with the food or customer service. Also, they're chocolate cheesecake is to DIE for!
May be the best bakery in the city. We have thoroughly enjoyed every treat that we have tried!
True bakers. Hungarian rhubarb. Ridiculous, everything I've had from there.
Amazing little bakery. I sampled several of the treats and every bite was heaven. Loved it.
Delicious milk chocolate cheesecake!. I ordered the milk chocolate cheesecake this past week and it was sublime. The large cake was also very generous and fed at least 12 people with several slices leftover.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the milk tarts. Everything we've had from Three Tarts has been fantastic. The milk chocolate hazelnut tart is a favourite for my husband and my little boy is a fan of their iced sugar cookies. By far, my favourite bakery in the city.
Where to Tart!. I've heard nothing but good things and have been meaning to pop in here for far too long and finally made a point to go since I was visiting some family. An excuse to stock up on treats right? Right. Sugar shopping spree it is!
It was hard to decide to be honest, but literally this was a situation of a kid in a candy shop. I wanted it all! I stocked up and got to taste a few different desserts but hands down the winner was the Dream Bar!
The Dream Bar it has well...everything and more! I think the base was a blondie and then it was layered with chocolate, caramel and coconut. Oh. My. Gawd. It was amazing! You would think you dreamed something so delicious. Hence the name...I think.
Honorable mentions to the Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie and the Cheesecake Brownie. As for the White Chocolate Cranberry Pistachio Tart... sorry you didn't make the cut...or should I say slice?
Will return again soon, especially to try the infamous sticky bun.
Unplanned visit. After lunch at the Wellington Gastopub, we saw this yummy smelling shop walking back towards our car. The smell was so enchanting that we were forced to enter and we're happy about what we saw: cupcakes, croissants, cakes, pastries, pies, brownies, etc. Everything looked so delicious. We decided to try the cupcakes to compare with Isobel's (our favourite) and also a white chocolate pistachio cranberry tart. The cupcakes were good but not good enough and the tart was also pretty good. I will like to go back and try more.
p.s.
My girlfriend loved how the cakes were presented.
Three Tarts is a lovely bakery that offers a selection of wonderful, beautiful, delicious desserts. The carrot cake is delightful and moist. The lemon meringue tart is delicious, tart and light while the lemon cheese cake steals the show. Thus far, we have sampled many of their selections and have been satisfied every single time. We highly recommend.
Great variety, safe pick-up system (outside with a table) and easy to order online. We got a berry tart and some individual mincemeat tarts (pictured), as well as a chocolate mousse 'Symphony' cake that I did not get a photo of before it was devoured. The cake and tart generously served 6. Great to have a local bakery to support!
The staff at three tarts are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. The bakery it’s self is in a great location in the glebe and is decorated nicely. I ordered a lemon 10” poppyseed cake for my mothers birthday. Although they don’t regularly make this cake in that size they were able to accommodate me which was lovely. The cake looked simple and beautiful-as you can see from the pictures. I was not able to try the cake myself because it was not gluten free but everyone at the party devoured it and were asking for seconds. Overall I had such a great experience here and will return. I am unsure if they have gluten free options, but I sure hope so!
Website is organized and efficient for placing orders. It’s my first time trying their desserts and I am wowed by their carrot cake. Gorgeous presentation, good price/portion ratio, great icing, moist cake. Will be trying many more tarts now.
Always delicious, no matter what we get! Recently we tried the Lemon Cheesecake and it was heavenly! Super light and creamy, and beautifully decorated.

A wonderful bakery! I have tried most of their baked goods at this point, and the quality is unmatched. A go-to for special occasions or a mid-week pick-me-up. Also, they are very friendly and professional and safe during covid. Today’s cake for my partner’s bday, which I drenched in sprinkles, accidentally covering part of the beautifully written personalized note, can be seen in pic. Thank you for making us feel special one more time. 💖
Efficient and polite service though a releitivly small store front can feel a little tight when buzy. The milk tart is best tart iv ever had and the chocolate cake was my fiances favorite birthday cake. Highly recommend.
I was meant to have an order delivered, but due to the ongoing demonstrations downtown my delivery was cancelled. Emily called me and let me know, and was very apologetic. Not sure why, it's completely out of everyone's control! I ended up walking over and picking up my stuff, which turned out AMAZING as always. Emily had added in a gift card, some amazing milk tarts, and some amazing butter tarts all free of charge to make up for the delivery cancellation. I mean, I'm always going to be a loyal patron and a cancelled delivery isn't going to change anything, but the 3 tarts is a REAL CLASS ACT!! Incredible food, awesome staff, and they keep their customers feeling appreciated, and most importantly, feeling super satisfied and FULL with the amazing pastries.
Oh and I highly recommend the white chocolate, toasted pistachio, cranberry tart. 10/10.
