Review Industria Pizzeria + Bar - Ottawa

This place has a really cool décor. I bet ya the nite life there must be amazing. Check the pics. . Even during the day looks cool. We were four and shared a bowl of calamari. You know when calamari is fresh., crunchy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. I had the carnivore pizza, a true man's pizza, all kinds of meat on it added a couple of veg. The crust was perfect. The other three loved their pie as well. Server was always there when we needed her. Perfect timing. Wish I had her name. Took a good peek in the kitchen. It looked clean with a professional and well organized. Good job guys. I see somebody commented on the price..... well that location is probably in the top 2 most expensive per square foot for rent in Ottawa. I went on a Sunday and it was a 2 for 1. Good time to try it. Also the surrounding area has so much to offer.

Industria disappointed me. I’ve been here once for someone’s birthday and loved the atmosphere so decided to do a birthday dinner with my friends here. I made reservations, showed up looking real cute, and the place was closed. It was a Wednesday at 8:45pm and the hours for the restaurant posted on google seemed to be incorrect considering the place was closed. Thank god for Joeys Lansdowne because it saved my birthday. Don’t always trust that your reservations will get you in somewhere!

T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E I can't believe I spent money on what I consider by far the worst meal I had in a long time. I had the "3 raviolis stuffed with cheese" which made it sound like the great Italian raviolis... and what I got was cheap cheese raviolis (10 or so) covered with what is clearly a canned sauce from Walmart. Took about an hour to get this terrible mess that gave me heart burn immediately after the first bite. Absolutely no beers on tap, 9$ for a bottled beer (Heineken, corona, nothing fancy...). Bottled beer took a good 10-15 mins to arrive despite the restaurant being not that busy. Service was more than plain, waitress sounding like a 13 years old school girl giggling at every phrase. Never going again.

Excellent atmoaohere. Most nights they have 4$ drinks and $7 appetizer from 4-7pm. I've been coming here for a few months now and have always enjoyed it. Space is trendy and clean. The menu is incredibly heavy which is a silly thing to comment on but true.

Where to begin, first 5 stars is not enough. The entire staff made my birthday an unforgettable evening. In a world where a complete stranger can walk in of the street and instantly everyone treats you like family, it's refreshing and you feel loved, safe and cared for. Everyone was incredibly attentive, went way above and beyond and turned a really difficult month or two into an unforgettable evening in just a few hours. What stands out most in my mind is the people. I'm forever grateful to AY, (big little brother), Tessa, Nathan, Jordan, Daniel and others. Absolutely everyone, a huge thank you. I can't say enough. I should also mention the food...the fish tacos were amazing as was the pizza.

I've been there three times and I really enjoy the music and atmosphere. The design is just amazing. I recommend fried calamari or Tuna tacos. I ordered Grilled lamb chops with a side of fries and the other party ordered Carnivora pizza. Not disappointed. Cons: servers don't take notes of your order so they might asked twice before they bring it, staff is slow and not really organized. I received my main before I get my starter. But overall, servers are friendly and nice.

The food was nice and warm, fresh, the waiter was super funny and friendly the place wasnt busy at all on a wednesday night. Music wasnt too loud,jus perfect. Maybe i would have added more filling on the pizza buy thats jus personal taste. Would definitly go back.

I would certainly return and try other things on the menu. Lots of it looked appealing. It wasn't super crowded or loud the evening we were there. Staff were attentive without being too present. Food came quickly and was pretty good. Was not really a fan of the "poutine". They use gnocchi instead of fries but they were hard and unpleasant. Pizza was enjoyable. Nothing outstanding but good enough to make me want to return.

If you are looking to book Industria for a special event or a special night, don’t. We went here as a family on Saturday, October 14th for a 30th birthday and the experience was less than ideal. It was downright bad. Reasons why we picked the restaurant: · Great vegetarian options which is key for a family that is mainly vegetarian (only 2 out of the 7 eat meat) · Extensive menu to enjoy some appetizers, mains and deserts Things started going south as soon as we were seated and given the menus. We noticed that the menu was significantly smaller than what was available on their website. All vegetarian appetizers were salads and couldn't be shared. There was only one vegetarian pasta and one vegetarian pizza. When we raised with our server, she advised that the menu was a "special" limited menu as an event was happening at the event. When we inquired if we could get a few starters from the original menu, we were advised the kitchen could not accommodate it as they had only prepped for the menu that was given to us. The server did acknowledge that we should have been advised at the time of the booking that an event was going to happen, thereby limiting the menu being offered. Needless to say, we were not notified. Also, the server was open to making substitutions on the pizza's to accommodate. Now, the disappointment was sinking in. We decided to then focus our attention on the drinks menu to order a bottle of wine for the table. It was WAY more extensive than the food menu, which seemed promising. We ordered the Villa Maria, and of course, our server came back to advise us that they have a very limited selection of wine as they are revamping the menu. We asked if we could go grab a bottle from the LCBO and pay corkage. The server notified they do not offer that either. The server could sense our frustration and gave us small tasters of the other wines and we settled for the best of a very limited selection. Finally the food and wine came, and the table was a little happier that the night had started. We requested for our bill and after a majority of the bill was paid, we noticied there was a service charge on the bill. We were a group of 7 and apparently "large" groups have a service charge. Again, we should have been told that once the reservation was made and when we were seated. We were not advised and ended up severely overpaying. I really hope Industria's management read this review and provide a response. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. Very very disappointed.

This was the first time going to this restaurant. It took 22.5 minutes for a waitress to approach our table of 6 to take our drink order. We were not even offered water before our drinks came. When we finally received our drinks, it was the wrong beer. After explaining to the waitress and bartender that the beer was not what we ordered. They said that they would replace it with something different. 25 minutes later after our complaint, we had to flag down our waitress. We told her we still have not received out new beer order. They brought it to us with no compassion. When the food was delivered. One guest had a SEVERE allergy to nuts and seeds. He had ordered his meal and stated this information. His food that arrived had indeed had nuts. All servers did not have a clue of what was going on. The staff have no communication with each other and this could have been a very serious situation that would not have ended well. We also had two other dishes delivered that was not ours. Overall, I would not go back. #Terribleservice

My wife and daughter and I went to Industria on Labour Day just before 6:30pm. We were very excited because the restaurant is beautiful inside. That initial impression is where the excitement stopped. There were no occupied tables inside and the patio was half full (around 20 patrons total) yet we waited 5 minutes for a hostess to notice us and seat us. We were there with our one year old and I told the hostess it's very important that we get a high chair ASAP because she was being fussy and she always calms down in a chair. She told us no problem, the server will bring it when she comes. We sat on the patio and waited fifteen minutes for our server. No high chair. I told her 'i'm sorry but it's really important that we get a high chair right away'. She quickly took our order and disappeared for another ten minutes. At that point we had to walk away, we had been at the (nearly empty) restaurant for half an hour and hadn't gotten the high chair, a drink, or anything. Too bad!

What a nice place. Seats 200 comfortably. And reception hall upstairs accommodates 75. Very spacious so you really don't feel cramped. The food was excellent Salmon tartar and cheese sticks were the appetizers we selected Followed by pasta with wild mushroom ragu in a cream sauce for George Mack And I had the chicken Parmesan with pesto pasta. The portions were large. Neither of us finished our plates. Our meal included a Nutella pizza But when we told our waitress Liz. That we were seeing a movie she offered us to come back after the movie and she would have the kitchen make us a fresh pizza to bring home. Liz was fabulous waitress. Polite and smiling throughout. Great service and fabulous food.

The best food I have had in years! A must try for anyone who loves food! If it were socially acceptable I would lick my plate! Tons of gluten free options.

Fun, chic atmosphere. A place to be seen and great place to people watch. Food was top notch, just like eating in Italy. Shrimp appetizer was sooo good. Beautiful new bartender Tiffany was friendly and attentive. Food and drink was served fast. Will def be back.

Literally sitting here right now.... Disaster. Came at 6:30pm, our table still doesn't have all its appetizers. Meatballs were under room temp. Getting a caesar took honestly 30 mins. Had to get another waitress to serve us, as another table came in and was served before us. Just brutal experience. Asked for our bills 15 mins ago and she has come to ask things 3 times and we still don't have our bills. Been here an hour and a half and just such a giant waste of time and money.

Food was good and the server was very co-operative, he switched our order without any hassle. However, i found the service a bit slow, we went for dinner on a Friday night. Overall, great ambiance and would recommend.

Found this restaurant while looking for a place to eat before going to a movie. The pizza was good, the beer list is ok (Murphy’s is not a replacement for Guinness IMHO), the service was fast and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I love this place. I always make a point to grab dinner and drinks here whenever I’m in Ottawa. The meatball appetizer tastes like Nona made it and the penne Bolognese is outstanding. Great food and excellent service.

Food was ok, it's hot as f***. Asked waitress what's the deal with the heat, she indicated AC is broken and it's been broken for 2 weeks. Asked to speak to the manager, manager arrives and indicates they just turned on the AC and it will take time to cool. Meanwhile front doors are wide open and they have small portable fans upstairs running. Manager lied straight to my face. When it's 28c before the humidity is factored in there should be AC on full blast. It's thoroughly unpleasant for diners, not to mention the staff who have to work in this kind of heat. I likely will not be returning ever again.

I love the ambiance of the restaurant! So modern and hip! The only thing better than the Nutella pizza was the service from Arfur! 11/10 would recommend!

Services and ambience were great. The calamari was a little too salty. Pizza was good but not the best in town. Still, it is a good place to go eat with friends and family.

I went for dinner on the weekend and I enjoyed my meal, the restaurant had a good atmosphere with great food. The service was great too, I forget my waiter's name I think it was Garrett he was about 5'11.

Great comfort food and even better atmosphere. The place was vibrant and staff very pleasant. Even during the busiest time, I never felt rushed. If you haven't gone yet be sure to check it out!!!!
