This is a fantastic Italian Restaurant. It’s like being invited into someone’s home for dinner. It’s absolutely the best family run restaurant I’ve ever been to. What I admire most is to see the pride on their faces when they know you’ve enjoyed your meal. What I enjoy the most is eating a fabulous meal and telling them how good it was.
Seriously if you have not eaten here you are missing out. My tastebuds even feel sorry for you!!

Best Italien Restaurant ever. Pasta melts in your mouth. Service is exceptional. Zucchinis are to die for. You have to try it. You will not regret it.
Have been going for years. Best zucchini in town, if you like clam sauce that's the place to have it, and their pasta just melts in your mouth.
Pasta that you can cut with a fork...melts in your mouth. My husband and I have celebrated special anniversaries here for years...nowhere else we would rather be...service is performed with a smile and quality of food always excellent. Love the people, ambiance...wonderful. My favourite "go to "place for any occasion.
Best zucchini sticks I've ever had in my life. I know some clients come from Montreal just to have them. The lasagna is the only one that rivals my mom's homemade lasagna. This is a non-pretentious cozy spot serving outstanding food with great service.

I am a regular ( Lemon coal Zucchini sticks) and believe it is pound for price the best Italian rest in Ottawa. A family owned homemade style delight.

Very good food and serve hot with the restaurant full. Chicken parmigiana very tasty so were the pastas serve with it . The service was fast and efficient the pricing is good . A place I will return
Not bad at all!. So i've eaten here for years. Service is always great. Food... is a little above average for a Ottawa italian joint. You can tell its freshly prepared. The clincher for me, the price. Its not overpriced... like other places like *cough cough* Trattoria on preston.
You get what you pay for, with really good service.
Would I go back... absolutly. Maybe i'll go for lunch again on Friday.
Brian. LOVED IT!!!!!! I am a single father and didn't want to bring my son when it was busy, just in case he was cranky, but he wasn't. My waitress, sara took my order and helped me with my son. when he didn't want to eat, she cut up his food and he was eating it.Wow! And I was able to enjoy my lunch too. Food was great and hit the spot, had the special, will definately go back.
Mac. Great hidden gem in Ottawa. We have been here many times & even grab it to go bc I can not get enough of the Zucchinni sticks...amazing!!! Great service, fresh food. TIP, you need reservations.
Friendly resto ambiance. Went there multiple times as a couple and with family members. We always came out satisfied.

Menu: good size and variety.
*the veal scallopini dish could have more stuff added to the plate to be satisfying

Cooking: never got sick, never waited extremely long, but we never went when it was crazy inside either
Restaurant: patio is not used nearly enough, a bit outdated inside/out, sign could be made prominant and modernized a bit (should be seen from McArthur!).

It would be amazing if they modernized a tiny bit the inside/out & the sign, and that they develop a deli-style breakfast/lunch menu with special coffees and the like (kinda like bridgehead or second cup or morning owl).
Loved this place! We went and ordered the zucchini sticks, chicken Parmesan and lasagne. They were all amazing! The zucchini sticks are lightly coated and taste so light! The pasta sauce was also delicious and the noodles in the lasagne were delicious! I would definitely recommend Pizarro to anyone!
The pizza was amazing and the tiramisu was to die for! Great service! I will be back again!

Always quality consistent. Its is a place where you can meet old colleagues, retirees, famous faces ( Supreme Justice, Members of Parliament, local sport summities) and young crowd all mixed up enjoying their fare of pasta. All pastas are fabulous and the meat sauce above all soupçon, the salads are laced with a develish vinaigrette just enough tangy to wake you up, bread is freshly baked piping hot melting butter, wines are always great and coffee is real stuff. Service is first quality, attentive and courteous fast and accurate. Prices are mostly more than reasonable if you order pasta and salads, a little more if you choose à la carte but beyond what you would pay elesewhere. I never had bad surprises when I ordfred an entrée à la carte.
The place is jammed whatever be the day -a reservation is a must- but such a gem it is worth the small effort.

Pizarro is good simple italian food in #ottawa. The staff is very friendly. Fried zucchinis are good and chicken parma is great. Really Affordable...need to reserve!
Best Deep Fried Zucchini. Have to say that Pizarro's has the best Deep Fried Zucchini in Ottawa by far. Tomato Salad was also a great hit. Food is tasty and hot. Service can be slow when it's busy, but the food is worth the wait.
Home made pizza, thin crust, fresh ingredients, delicious! Service was great, waiter was very attentive. Great, cozy little restaurant.
Wonderful dinner in remembrance of mom and dad. Great service as always food was beyond 5 stars.so glad you made it through Covid.we will be back on our next visit to Ottawa

Nice little place to eat. Very consistent with quality. Save room for Tiramisu.

Came back yet again on March 25, 2022. for veal parmigiana & lasagna al forno, with a starter Caesar salad and garlic bread and a half-litre of red wine. Thanks so much to Rachel and Brandon for the stellar 5-star service.

Just had a phenomenal meal here at 6:00 PM. We had the veal parmigiana and lasagna forno. We began with garlic bread and a 1/2 litre of Valpolicella. Service was fantastic, and the food even more so. Best lasagna I have ever had. My wife's dessert was a wonderful treat as well.
Special coffee was ordered (weak), and I was not disappointed.
All in all, a 5-star plus rating. Will definitely go back and spread the word as well. Been here today in ‘17, ‘18 and now ‘19. Server is the best in the business. Get yourself down here fir a fine Italian meal!!!!!
