We went to this place for team lunch for buffet. Its awesome!! You will get what you paid for. Tandoori chicken, butter chicken, chicken curry and lamb curry in the lunch buffet is mouth watering
Amazing authentic Indian cuisine. Definitely the best I have tried in Ottawa (I have tried East Indian, Biryani, Aahar, etc). Onion Bhanji is delicious. Lamb Korma is amazing (I am eating the Lamb Korma from Aahar atm and I am dreaming about the one I was served at Indian Punjabi Clay Oven).
If you like Indian food you're in luck, cause you'll never have to try another place again. We dined in and the service was provided by a very friendly Indian family, who absolutely know what they're doing in the kitchen. I can't think of one thing that I didn't say "wow" when I tried it. Vegetables in the dishes were nicely cooked and the portions of meat & veg. in the dishes were also quite good. Would absolutely go back again to try more of the items on the menu.
If you can see past the basic decor this place is a curry lovers paradise. Quality of meat is fab And sauces are all sufficiently different to indicate that the chefs know their stuff. Best eat in curry place in the west end without a doubt.
Yesterday, i visited this restaurant for the first time. I had tried dal makhani, kadai paneer and kashmiri pulao with garlic nan. It was just amazing. I will rate it as one of the best restaurant in town.
It was my third visit to this restaurant but first for dinner. I had earlier gone there to have some Indian appetizers only. We went to this place last night for dinner and had delicious food. I was hesitant to try Garlic naan at first but it was truly delicious. We ordered Kadhai Paneer, Dal Makhni and Baigan Bharta. I don't usually like Brinjals but I have never tasted such delicious Baigan Bharta ever. Moreover, the food was perfectly spiced. It wasn't too less or too much which made the dinner a great treat.
The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Definitely a place to recommend to anyone.
My favorite Indian restaurant in Kanata. Great food. Friendly service. Take out is quick. Not a fancy place
Go for the food which is excellent
Excellent authentic Indian food. If you like Indian food, you simply have to try this place. Ambiance could do with an uplift, however the food makes up for it. My husband and I are, both, regulars.
So amazing!. I am so happy I found this incredible restaurant! The food is mouth watering and perfect! The service is incredible, humble and kind and family owned.
I love the food, everything from the naan to rice to apps and mains!
Yum! Thank you for amazing food and service!
Decent lunch buffet.. I have been 3 or 4 times for their lunch buffet now. It has always been decent, and the service has always been great.
Their butter chicken is good, and their Tandoori Chicken is the best I've had. Their naan could be a little fresher.
I have had better Indian food, but their food is still good, and I would rate them in my top 3 Indian Restaurants in Ottawa.
BEST INDIAN FOOD EVER!!!!. I don't usually bother to post reviews about restaurants but this is absolutely necessary! This has to be the best Indian food I have EVER ate! The garlic naan was perfectly cooked and the butter chicken was phenomenal! The staff was really nice and helpful too (looks like a family business). I will definitely be going back!
Great service. I have only been there a couple of times but the food is great and the service is great too. Very friendly. This was the fist Restaurant I went to when I moved into the area and was not disappointing. Wasn't the same as homemade meals, it was a little richer but excellent. I nice treat when there just isn't that many Indian restaurants around.
Take out has been very good as well.
I went for dinner tonite with my husband.Excellent food..im a vegeterian and ordered Paneer masala and eggplant which is to die for..Very friendly staff..Real authentic Indian food in the city.
Pretty Good. Went there for lunch and was impressed. The food was good, the rice properly cooked and they fresh tandoor-made naans.
There wasn't a huge selection of dishes: four meat and four vegetarian but the food was good and the price was very reasonable.
I will defintely return.
Your life will change. The food here is to die for - best Indian in Ottawa. I got addicted to it and ate it everyday for months. Not even kidding. The Baigan Bharta is amazing, as is the Saag; my bf likes the Chicken Korma Kashmiri and Butter Chicken. The atmosphere is a bit lacking, but the food makes up for it. Take-out is also very good, but could take awhile on a busy night. They are also willing to make substitutions. Well priced compared to other Indian restaurants as well.
Really liked the Chicken Korma. I ate here for the first time this week with a friend. I'd heard good things about it, and wasn't disappointed. The chicken korma was very good. We also had Alu Muttar, Naan Bread, and Beef Samosas, all of which were quite good. Overall, I like this place, and will be going back. The service was excellent. Very friendly.
Awesome lunch buffet!. I haven't been here in a while as I have since moved, but religiously for over a year this was a destination of choice. I've never gone for dinner service or ordered take-out. I always went for the lunch buffet, which was a selection of good food at a great price. As a bonus, the service is always friendly and efficient.
The problem with a lunch buffet is the tendency to over-indulge in the things you like. Their butter chicken is simply wicked and has pretty much set the bar for me. The Tandoori chicken had a pleasant mix of spices that didn't numb your taste buds, though I liked to add a squeeze of fresh lemon to add a little zing. The spiced rice (Biryani I believe) was a tasty treat when available. The naan was consistently fresh and supple. Overall they have a pretty good selection of dishes and they make a pretty good mango lassie too.
Overall I like this place. When I end up visiting the area again I will likely make a point of stopping in if time allows. They season their food well, and if you can sneak a peek through the tiny window to the kitchen in the back, you'll see that it's prepared fresh daily. While I'm no expert on Indian cuisine, it seems fairly authentic from my experience; realistically the most authentic thing about Indian cuisine is that no two dishes are prepared exactly the same by different families. I like that.
Good food and service. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Biriyani as take-out. Both were very good and the service was friendly.
Loved this place before Covid. The buffet was amazing. Went for eat in lunch (sadly no buffet). We were so catered to. Food was amazing. People have to start coming back to this delicious restaurant. We told the owners they need to increase advertising. So amazingly delicious. Yum!
Wow I can say I'm VERY Impressed. This Food was the most Tastiest food ever. The food there is OUTSTANDING. I can't believe that this restaurant is not 5 star! If you are coming by You have to come check out this restaurant!
I recommend the Butter Chicken and really most of the chicken dishes. Naan goes REALLY good with your Butter Chicken.
ordered butter chicken, rice and garlic naan bread. When I got the pricey bill of 33$ I told myself I was going to get one hell of a good meal!
For the butter chicken and rice, the taste was fantastic!!!!
Unfortunately the naan bread was tasteless and hard to bite, truly not worth that high of a price.
Won't go here again because I'm sure that, if I have to pay 33$ at another Indian restaurant, I will be 100% satisfied with the whole meal
We were in Ottawa for a business trip and found this place near our hotel in Kanata. We had chana bhatura and fish pakora and both were absolutely delicious. The fish pakora was crispy and with perfect amount of batter and it just melts in your mouth. I haven't had such good fish pakoras in GTA. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place.
