This is a must stop shop everytime we go visiting Ottawa. The ice cream is so light and flavors just burst in your mouth. The only issue you'll have is trying to decide which flavors to choose !!!
I never have time to snap pics of the ice cream selection we all took because everyone just wants to dig in.

Yesterday I went into Picolo Grande on Murray Street.
• An accessible flat ramp from the street going down .awesome it easier for everyone.
Two employees working all of the gelato flavors were out on display each one was soft and creamy easy to pick up and put into the cup size.
I asked for medium size cup and picked out 2 flavors - Bacio and Ameratto both were delicious together ❤️.
I have not had soft Gelato quite like this since coming back from Rome.

Amazing gelato, not too sweet. I had the pistachio and the hazelnut flavors in a cone. The place has nice calmer vibes, as it is nestled slightly away from the byward market. 100% recommend!

I absolutely love Piccolo Grade, and especially after they've renovated.
They have plenty of flavors and they are all made in-house!
It's probably one of the oldest Gelateria's in Ottawa and one of the tastiest. Their new decor is warm, rustic, and chic.
The staff are super friendly and won't make you feel bad for trying several flavors.
I just wish their prices were a little lower.
I really enjoy their gelato and sorbet. Definitely try them out as you enjoy a stroll in downtown Ottawa.

A numerous selection of sorbet favours! 2 display fridges to choose from!! If you are looking for citrus, fruity taste- here’s the place! As for gelato, it’s not as creamy as I expected; somehow too superficial taste.
Friendly staff and they know well their goods. They also offer great recommendations on combinations.
Spacious place to seat and hangout with friends. The shop also offer Fancy coffee !
