This is the first review we've written, although we've been ordering from Sushiman for years! This is by far the best Sushi take out in the east end of Ottawa!
This is a great sushi take out place. What an excellent discovery in the heart of Orleans. I had the spicy salmon and avocado and it was very good. I'll be going back for sure.
We eat a lot of sushi and this is hands down our favourite sushi in Ottawa. We've eaten all the sushi in Orleans, don't even bother going somewhere else.
I eat Sushi regularly. This is my favourite place in Ottawa... heck it's my favourite place in the world... and I've lived in Asia for 6 years! The are other good Sushi places in Ottawa, but this one takes the sashimi.

Definitely my favourite take out sushi. The staff is friendly and food delicious. I always order the 'spicy maki set B'. Super tasty and just the right amount of spiciness.
Make sure you call ahead to avoid waiting!
I ordered the 24 pcs (Taki Sushi) and was not disappointed. It tasted fresh and the fish portions were fairly generous. We did have to wait a bit even though we showed up when they told us it would be ready. I also wish they had more options for larger platters, but I would definitely order from them again.
Really amazing fresh sushi, order ahead and you will not be disappointed. Soy sauce at first taste seemed too salty but it has grown on me- and now I find it really enhances the flavours

The sushi is great here. Always fresh and not too expensive. If you don't want to wait for your order I suggest calling ahead. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions.
Good sushi in Orleans! Staff was very friendly and the sushi was good. No complaints, will go back!

My wife loves it!. But whenever I pick up dinner at this place, the debit/credit machine asks me if I want to leave a tip. I hate that.
The best sushi I have had in Ottawa. It is also very fresh. The service is a bit slow but definitely worth the wait! This is my first choice for sushi.

The best sushi in Ottawa! This man is an artist, the quality and presentation of his sushi is miles ahead of anyone else. Obviously it takes a little longer than other restaurants, he is that much better. Call ahead and give a reasonable amount of time and you will not be disappointed.
Best sushi in Ottawa!!! None of the other sushi places in Ottawa compare to the freshness and great taste of Hello Sushiman! The owners are friendly,polite and always appreciative when we drop in! It's a must if you come to Orleans...heck, it's worth the trip even if you're not in Orleans!
Yummy!!. Had sushi here many times. Every time food was super fresh and perfectly prepared. Had sushi at many different restaurants but SushiMan's the best. One criticism would be variety is not great but what they do offer is top quality. As for the service of course it's not going to be super fast at peak times.. this is a family business after all and sushi can't be made in advance.
Great service amazing sushi its a small place that gets really busy understandably (because of the quality and the fact that its a small buisness) but worth any amount of wait in my opinion and the staff is super nice i have never been dissapointed by an item on the menu and i have had just about all of them :P
Fantastic spot for great sushi. Our family absolutely loves hello sushi man - delicious sushi and generous portions. run by a lovely couple, with great customer service, this is a real treasure in orleans. we go weekly for a sushi treat. best to call and order in advance.

It's the best sushi in ottawa. Hands down. The level of freshness and quality is unmatched.Pro tip is call in the morning to place an order for the afternoon because it's hard to get through when you call after 4pm. Must try.

Great sushi spot in the East end! We walked in on Thursday a bit before 1pm to place our order and was told it'll take about 35 minutes. That was fine, as there was plenty of shopping plazas nearby to kill some time. We ordered the salmon lunch and the sashimi lunch. The fish was very fresh!
Hello Sushiman is definitely one of the best sushi places in Ottawa. They use great quality fish, and their rice is also quite nice. What's also convenient is that they have a variety of maki roll selection, ensuring that everyone has something to choose-- even the picky eaters.
The reason I can only give 4 out of 5 stars is the service. By this, I don't mean that the staff is rude or anything like that. What I mean is that when it comes to placing an order, it's a luck of the draw whether you get through or not. I've called every 2-5 minutes over the course of an hour from 3 - 4pm and was unable to get through. Eventually I just gave up trying. I mean, for the owners this is a great problem to have-- it shows that there's a lot of demand for their food. But this is something they really need to fix as they will start to lose clientele, as it's quite frustrating to go through this process every time.
I don’t how a hidden spot surrounded by a Sherwin-Williams paint store and a MoneyMart has some of the best sushi in this city but it does! I love this place!
Yes - you have order by phone and pick it up (not sure if they have delivery) but nothing good in life ever came for free baby! Yummy Yummy!
