I have been living in Ottawa for about four years, and I will say that this is my favourite restaurant. What an incredible experience!
Our server was so friendly and professional. I didn’t catch his name, but he was a young guy who seemed fairly new but he was very professional and attentive. Throughout the whole night he made sure we were happy and enjoying our experience.
Our food was also amazing, from the appetizers to the desert. We were so happy with everything, and then the chef came out to make sure we enjoyed his food. What a nice detail!
Thank you to the staff for such a lovely Wednesday night out.

Not the most artistic photo, but I definitely recommend the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer to share! Overall, a really great experience, the customer service was great and the chef personally came out to check on each table at the end of the night. I got the regular pizza and it was amazing, the crust was fluffy and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. I can't wait to bring my partner because it had such a cozy and romantic atmosphere (and of course great food). Highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to trying this place because many of my friends recommended it and also they have a dedicated gluten free menu with many options which is rare to find. Despite this I was disappointed. We got two gluten free pizzas one vegetarian and the other was chicken with pesto. The crust was very hard, the chicken tasted old and over all both pizzas just felt like they were missing something. Despite the tastes of the pizzas, the customer service was good and the restaurant is located in a nice area in little Italy. I may give this place another shot considering some of the great reviews and their gluten free menu.

Excellent place!!!!! I am allergic to gluten and dairy and they have a menu only gluten-free. It taste incredible. I never had a good experience in a restaurant that understands my condition. The staff was mega friendly and polite. Also, my family and I usually eat big big portions, they exceed my expectations, the chicken parmesan was perfect for my hungry celiac stomach, it comes with salad and gluten-free garlic bread. The desserts are gluten-free. I really recommend the restaurant, every one should try it. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!!👏👏👏

Gorgeous patio and a very intimate and cozy indoor dining setting. The dishes are all incredible, and for the quality of food you're getting it's a very fair price! I didn't picture it here but for 25$ I got one of the most amazing lasagnas I ever eaten, along with a ceaser salad and garlic bread. The crême brûlée is also literally to die for. Highly recommend!

Ate here last night with my brother and sister in-law. Arrived early and was greeted as soon as I entered the door. I was sat at a table and soon after was asked if I would like anything to drink by the server of our table for the night - Andrew. I was undecided on a drink and asked what the rotation on draught was tonight. Andrew offered me a free sample of the draught beer - which was a generous serving as well! The food was delicious tonight. I had the Gnocchi Arrabbiata and it was very tasty, spicy and soft. The cheesecake at the end of the meal melted in my mouth. It was very delicious. Andrew's service was excellent! Always checked on us and made sure all the tables were doing well. Would definitely recommend this location as well as the excellent service overall. The chef also came out to the dining room to establish a personal connection which is great to see from the food industry as well. Very enjoyable night out here.

Had to wait for an unusually long time for the food but it was worth the wait. Food was delicious and we also got to hear the chef/owner serenade "Happy Birthday" to the man at the table next to us.

Nice cozy restaurant.
The server was sweet and friendly, but the time it took to be served food was a bit long.
The garlic bread was delicious - soft, well seasoned.
However, I didn’t enjoy La Dolce Vita pizza so much..
It was nice, but a bit dry.
The crust was in fact very hard. It somehow tasted a bit ‘old’.
The pizza was of ordinary, not outstanding.

The freshly baked bread is I think my favourite thing as well as the Cesar salad which features double smoked bacon and croutons made from house made fresh bread. Just so good! Also best pizza crust in the city. Service is great. The patio was packed but food still came out in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend!

As a person with Celiac disease I'm used to eating simple somewhat bland meals at restaurants, and forget dessert unless your fine with some fresh fruit or a sorbet. I had one of my most amazing meals last night. Dinner started with fried calamari then a ceaser salad with croutons! Main course lasagna with garlic bread and to finish it of an amazing tiramisu! I thought I was in heaven. The owner and chef came out to speak to me and reassure me everything was gluten free and they take all necessary precautions to avoid cross contamination. Thank you to our amazing waitress Chantal who made the experience even more memorable�

Went to La Dolce Vita this evening! It was amazing and so was the service. The owner and chef came to see if we were celiac because we ordered from their amazing gluten free menu! He wanted to know how I liked it and wanted to also tell me about their GF dessert menu. They have cheesecake and make their own tiramisu from scratch! They also do not charge extra for anything gluten free and are aware that a lot of other places do but wants us as Celiacs or gluten free to feel normal � highly recommend!!!!

Compliments to the chef! I I have to watch my salt intake, so I called the chef ahead of time and mentioned that I can't have any salt in my food. I ordered a pasta and even without the salt it was amazing! My kids had the 5 cheese pizza and they loved it!!! Thank you to the chef and staff for working around the menu to meet the dietary needs of their customers!

My husband and I recently went to La Dolce Vita for date night.
We arrived shortly before 5 (when it opens) and was welcomed graciously into the restaurant.
We were pleased that the owner asked if we needed the gluten free menu which was a very nice change of pace since most restaurants we go to we have to ask for a gluten "friendly" menu.
We had the stuffed mushrooms, chicken parmesan and manicotti and every single thing was made well, tasted great and hot. My husband had the gluten free Tiramisu for dessert. That too was delicious.
As we neared the end of our meal the chef came out to check on things, I really appreciate that level of service.
We will be returning soon.

As a celiac, we all know how traumatic it can be eating out. This restaurant was recommended by other celiacs and after looking at their GF menu online, I called to confirm I could actually have garlic bread etc. Upon arrival our server asked if either of us were celiac and offered the GF menu. I had the chicken Parmesan, garlic bread and creme brûlée. Food was awesome and at the end of our meal the chef came out to speak to us to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and to reiterate that all my food was GF. Would absolutely go back!

Went for lunch to celebrate some friends bday. Lunch was delicious, staff was great and had a surprise desert from the chef who sang us happy birthday. Definitely recommend this little gem on Preston.

I absolutely LOVE La Dolce Vita! As a Celiac, it is amazing to find a restaurant that I can eat, feel comfortable at, and on top of all of it, have TONS of outstanding options. I truly felt the love and passion that went into my meal, and it was incredibly special that not only did the waitress come to check on me, the owner/head chef did as well. This was an experience like no other. Incredible food, amazing options, an outstanding environment and a wonderful experience. Thank you La Dolce Vita!!! <3 I can't wait to visit Ottawa again soon.
