Great food and excellent service. Great place to watch football with friends and enjoy a nice meal and a perfectly poured Guinness! Will definitely go again.

Fantastic atmosphere in a truly Irish pub and restaurant. An absolutely lovely setting out in the Courtyard. Great service and delicious food. It's the place to be in Ottawa.
Very nice patio. Loved it. Great beer and nice platter.
One of my favorite place to eat. Beer is good, food is excellent, service is superb!
I have come home from Canada with a substance abuse problem regarding tomato soup after visiting this place. Lovely staff, and even lovelier food!
We made great experiences with this pub! The live bands are fantastic as well as the drinks. Also for people with disabilities is it a good place to partying because of the welcoming staff, which have a hand to support you. Always happy to go again!
Omg I LOVE this place! I’m always so happy with the service! The food is delicious with great potion sizes. I’m excited to come out on st Patrick’s day! LOVE heart n crown FOREVER! Great place well done!!
Was there yesterday Aug. 30, and the food was amazing and our waiter was friendly and caring......can't wait to go back!!!
Great atmosphere with amazing food and company. Best pub in Ottawa hands down!
Some of the best fish tacos 🌮 I've had and the spicy 🌶 chicken curry had just the right amount of heat. Would definitely go again
Nice and cozy. Food was good, but prices a bit above average. No pancakes after brunch, though.
Delicious lunch, ordered the Chowder and Fish Tacos. Just a little pricey but I was happy to pay for the quality. The Cesar and Raspberry Mojito were very tasty as well.
A good pub that also serves decent food, but don’t come here just for the food. Lots of tap beers and Draught Guinness, of course, which is also pretty decent. Good whiskey selection.
This review is to applaud Heart & Crown's participation of ByWard Market's "Byward Barket" event in 2019. Our dog JJ had a lunch with us in the patio of Heart & Crown. It was a great memories for all of us. JJ had left us in 2020, and the lunch with JJ in Heart & Crown became the last time we eat out together...
Every time I walk by Heart & Crown in Byward Market, I think of JJ and the great times we spent together. Wish you are happy and peace in heaven, JJ.
What a great find for me and my wife!! We parked in the garage across the street and were looking at the map in front of the restaurant. One of the wait staff asked where we were thinking of going and then gave us great directions. Based on that, we came back for lunch!
The restaurant is gorgeous, definitely the Irish pub feel. We asked to sit outside, but in the shade. We were led to an alley, which made me think "what in the world...." until we hit the end of the alley and got to a courtyard that was almost magical! It was spectacular!
The menu is varied and very interesting. We had a hard time deciding on what to order and the waitress was a great help. My wife had the jerk chicken sandwich and I had the Jameson burger. My wife was a little apprehensive about the sandwich as she's not fond of a lot of spice.
The food was well presented and tasted even better than it looked! My burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Smothered in mushrooms and Jameson BBQ sauce with onions & arugula on a very fresh bun. It was a perfect burger - big, juicy (not greasy!), amazing flavors.
My wife loved the jerk chicken sandwich! She said the spicy level was perfect - lots of flavors that worked very well together, definitely something she would order again.
And the sides... We didn't want the standard fries and there are some great other sides available. My wife had the roasted vegetables and she said she could have just had those and been very happy with lunch!! I was allowed a small taste and they were really good. I had a side of mashed potatoes (it's an Irish pub!) and they didn't disappoint. They were real potatoes, topped with green onion and just perfect!
I wish we had thought to take pictures, but the smells were too much to resist diving right in!
The waitress (Allison) was very good - friendly and paid appropriate attention to us.
Yes, the cost was a little above average. I had a soda and my wife had an ice tea. Before tip, it was $52.23 Canadian - both of us thought is was a fair price given how great the food & service were. We will definitely be back!
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our server, the location, the ambience and the food was amazing. It was also amazing that we could bring our dog, as that can be difficult for pet owners who love taking their dogs (or cats) along. We had fish and chips and a strawberry salad and both were absolutely delicious.
Waitress was very kind. Took our order quickly when we were ready, and while we waited for our food, everything that went past us looked AMAZING. We got our food very quickly and it was incredible. I had the seafood chowder and it was the best soup I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
