Amazing staff and menu. Gotta try their Cold Fashion drink. It. Is. Delicious. They made my wings differently to accommodate my allergies and they even brought me a special binder with the whole menu’s ingredients. Not every restaurant do this and it is really reassuring and appreciated.

My service was really good the staff was very friendly and our drinks and food came out pretty quick. Their Guinness tastes weird very metallic and just off, I usually love Guinness but i couldn't finish my second glass unfortunately. Their cocktails are good not to sweet or over priced, quite a few options but sadly they didn't have ingredients for most of them. The food was mediocre I got the Jameson chicken bites and the chicken the sause was nice but they tasted funky my friend described it as "fishy and like the smell inside of a walk in cooler". It's a really nice place with lots of booths and nice decor.

Saw this lovely Pub when I went on the Haunted Walk and mentioned to my friends that Id like to visit before leaving Ottawa. So this ended up being our last stop and wow!!! Best for last! Food was AMAZING!!!! Awesome flavors and proportions were just right! And the drinks, THE DRINKS!!!! I highly recommend the Ceili Cold Fashioned- so good!!!! I also got to try a few more staple beers that Canada had to offer that I missed out on, all drinks I sampled were excellent and beers were poured just right! Also the servers were great conversation, and knowledgeable about food and drink menu. I would highly recommend stopping and I look forward to visiting again on my next trip! 💜

Went for dinner last night (Saturday night). Location was busy. We had a table in the downstairs. Atmosphere was fitting of the theme of restaurant, food was good. I ordered a diet coke and the tap was off so it didn't taste like pop. I asked if I could have a ginger ale instead. They admitted that at times, the pop dispenser doesn't mix pop correctly. They brought me ginger ale... In a kids cup! Then had the nerve to charge me for 2 pops.i had it removed from my bill. We were not given any napkins or utensils for our meal. Our server was over worked because he rarely came to our table.
Not likely to return.

Great food and drinks! We love visiting Ottawa and this is one of our restaurants that we make sure to drop in for a drink and some food. Prices are reasonable. Food is delicious. Staff are friendly and service is great.

Great Pub. One of the handful of pubs I used to frequent in the late 90s. Me and some friends from High School grew our beards out to try and look older to get served beers. It worked. We befriended the bartender that night so we could keep returning sans id. Great Memories!

Great history, but no AC and we were there 45 minutes and never had our food order taken. We ended up leaving to eat elsewhere. This appears to be a better drinking pub.

It was my first time visiting Ottawa with my boyfriend and we had searched good places to eat in the area when this pub popped up. The reviews were great so naturally we decided to go! However when we arrived the service was very slow, the food wasn't hot and our fries were dry as if they've been sitting on the side of the grill for an hour. The only thing that we really enjoyed were our drinks which I admit were fantastic ! I would return again for drinks but I wasn't impressed with the food at all.

So I'm at D'arcy McGees and my burger was really badly burnt. Only ate half of it. Also, food is a bit over priced and my pickle seemed a few hours old. Ate the caesar salad and it didn't have the right amount of dressing...I've found more moisture in a sandbox. Place has a great atmosphere though so it too bad. Won't be back.

Took 5 minutes before we got a table - given the popularity of the establishment, that was hardly a surprise. For larger groups I fear that for lunch and dinner, you'd have a very difficult time without a reservation, which I'm not even sure they take. It took some time for a waiter to notice we hadn't been attended to (people that sat down after us had already ordered), but once he did, he was very apologetic, gracious and helpful. I had the French onion soup (AMAZING!) and rover bites (a neat take on tater tots) and my date had the fish and chips special (he cleaned his plate!) and substituted the "chips" (fries) for tortilla chips and guacamole (there are several substitutions to choose from). The waiter was very diligent at bringing us wine ice cold and our dishes piping hot. Will definitely be going again!

I was alone visiting Ottawa on business. I wanted to have some dinner. Asked to sit at the bar to watch the activity. The bartender 'Doc' helped me find a beer I liked and then recommended the most wonderful meat and mushroom pie. So fresh and yummy. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Love D’arcy Mcgee’s - this place has genuine service and obviously it’s run by a great team. This is what a pub should be. Great beers and great music. I always come by when I’m in the area!!

After leaving the Grey Cup game early, we had a hard time finding a sports bar that wasn’t overcrowded. We ended up on Sparks Street and had some delicious food and drink while watching the game. Our server (whose name escapes me was a good sport and took great care of us). Dale, the server who took over for her was attentive and also took care of all our needs. We would definitely recommend it and will be back if we ever return to Ottawa. Thanks for a great evening!!

Needed a quick turnaround, and the waitress gave us the "quick" bar menu and sat us st the bar. Great personal service at the Bar, and Doc was very entertaining :)
Food was excellent and we both needed take home containers because of the abundance !
The second bar man was equally kind, and offered a special rate when we told him my mom was celebrating her 85th bday.
It has been years since I have been here, and I was very happy with the service, the food, and the staff.

Great Irish pub near Parliament! Just noisy enough to be fun! Great finger food and excellent selection of local draughts. Definitely worth a visit.
