A Seafood & Steak restaurant that is located by the byward market in Ottawa city attached to the Westin Hotel
I would highly recommend that you make a reservation before going since it get busy later the night. it has a large variety of appetizers, share dishes, main courses and wine list. if your on certain that if you would like the wine that you ordering, you may request to try it out before ordering if it is available. At least my way staff offered me try it and I avoided ordering a wine that I would not like.
The menu seems to be updated quite often since it is not the same as the ones I saw on Open Table reservation system platform
my waitress Mika was very helpful and friendly. She enhanced my experience in the restaurant with her great service which result in a spectacular evening for my first night in the city of Ottawa.

Very good service, welcoming and warm staff. I didn't expect to be so full. the salad was good, I also received a nice piece of salmon with a crispy skin and it was delicious. Usually I don't eat the skin, because I don't like it, but it made me change my mind. On the other hand, I would have liked to have a sauce, because even if the salmon was juicy I found that it lacked a little flavor. For dessert, I took a crème brûlée. very generous portions. I loved it

Had my Birthday dinner here with friends. They served few refreshments in between & Sangria was my fav in that. Food was delicious & serving was excellent. They had nice choice of wine & champagne. Appetisers had multiple options of sea food & steak. They had their signature dishes listed separately. Dessert was a compliment. I liked to have the flaming dessert but they currently don’t have it served. Went with coconut cream dessert & it was delicious. Car parking can be hectic & we chose to park in Nordstrom Parking which is just opposite to this restaurant.

We decided to spend our anniversary dinner there. We ordered filet mignon which was the best we have ever eaten, extremaly fresh fried calamari, beef tartar and raw oysters. Food was amazing!! I assume that was the best filet migon and fried calamari I have ever eaten (I am quite picky ;)). As a surprise for our anniversary we got a happy anniversary cake and a card with hand-written personal message. That was a fantastic dinner, place strongly recommended!

Came to Ottawa for a mini honeymoon with my husband. The staff were great! Very friendly and attentive. An amazing meal! We both had the beef wellington and the wild mushroom risotto... both were delish! Would definitely return and recommend

I went to the Shore Club for a late lunch and was hoping to try the Buttermilk chicken, but the waitress told me they were all out. The lunch menu was very limited and I ended up with a horrible club sandwich. Dry and tasteless. I ordered steakhouse fries, but was served pre-frozen salt and vinegar fries instead. The vanilla bean creme brule was just average. As I was waiting for the bill, two other customers walked in and were able to order the Buttermilk chicken! Service was extremely slow. Before the other customers came in the staff was clearing the lunch settings, making a horrible racket. It was not the pleasant, relaxed lunch I was hoping for.

I'm a big steak person and have a hard time getting the perfect temperature for my steak as i like it rare. It was the best steak i ever had and the sides were amazing. Service was impeccable. I want to go back for sure. I must say our waitress was excellent, its unfortunate that I can't remember her name.

March 20. Mixed vegetables were late to the table but substitued. Seafood appetizer was tasteless and my steak was tasty but very fatty. Couldn't cut through it. My wifes meal was Ok. Dessert was not the greatest also. Second time I've visited. First time was the same. Won't be back.

I've never had a disappointing moment. The staff are truly professional and yet authentically attentive at a personal level. Fine dining, lounging or enjoying a drink at the bar are all unique experiences that always left me more than satisfied. Definitely a #1 choice venue in the capital. There just is no other place like the Shore Club.

capitalfoodie.ca highly recommended this restaurant for our Anniversary Dinner. We were seated in a very private section in the back. We were provided a special greeting card signed by management and chef. They also surprised us with complimentary champagne to celebrate.
Food was AMAZING - everything was cooked to perfection; lamb, calamari, salmon, and steak!
Service was exceptional; the chef had come out to personally deliver our meals and get our reviews.

We reserved a table in the restaurant but they sat us in the lounge and insisted that it was the same. Well, it wasn't... the service was ok. The manager and the hostess were very much clueless when it came to customer service. The food however was good. Overall, It was disappointing as the last time we were in town during the summer we got a much better service.

This review is long overdue....Took mother for Xmas last 2 years and each time it progressively gets worse and worse. Last Xmas we ordered 2 tier seafood appetizer ($99.00) and it was EXACTLY the same as the single tier ( $50.00) we had the prior Xmas....I know because I had taken pics and we both counted the pieces of seafood. Furthermore, on such a busy occasion they put us with a trainee that didn't know the menu very well.....didn't even know that they served the 2 tier seafood appetizer. WE also had entree's to accompany the appetizer which were adequate but definitely not worth the price. It's a shame because the ambience is rather pleasant and the menu is good. I'm moving on to Rosebowl on Carling as it has much better service, steak is actually cooked and tastes better, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Not to mention the prices aren't over inflated like Shoreclub's. Once realizing I got ripped off with the appetizer I closed the door on this restaurant. Truly shameful.
