Review Art Is In Bakery - Ottawa

Julie Kelechian
I always stop here for a meal when I’m in Ottawa. Food never disappoints. Their brunch menu is really good. Something for those who have a sweet tooth and those who are more into savoury dishes. Service is also very good. It can hard to be found a table during peak times on the weekend but not surprising. I like the fact that it is not in the centre of the city so parking is easy

The almond croissant was awesome (finished before taking a picture) the tea latte tasted very good too. The area is ice but the music can be a little better selected to suite a coffeeshop/bakery. The selection of the pastry was limited by the tome we walked in which is not bad, means that everything is fresh and mostly sold by noon. The only downside was that there was a bit of colourless plastic in the croissant.

The atmosphere is very unique,.and the food was very good, well mostly. The honey chicken burner was to die for, so good. The Hawaii-5-0 pizza was incredible, but the burger was hohum. We will definitely go back and try some of their other dishes.

This place never disappoints. This is my second time here but first time for breakfast and YUUUUUUMMMMMY! The Croque Madame was sooo good.....and don't forget to try the pastries as well. Try and get there early as a line up builds up very quickly.

A nice place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. They are busy so expect a queue, but it's worth it. The service can be a little slow because of the number of people they are serving. The food tastes really good especially the croissant & cronut.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Maple vanilla latte was perfect! I really enjoyed my coffee. Almond croisant was good but a bit dry for me.

Great cafe and bakery with wide selection of sweet and savoury baked treats. Very friendly service staff that was quick but not pushy taking orders on a busy morning. We really enjoyed their bacon and egg sandwich on a croissant, spicy tomato dipping sauce added a nice kick. Their O town croissant donut are big enough to share, crispy on the outside with soft flakey layers, they have a variety of filling depending on the day. Their London fog drink was on of best I've ever had, very creamy.

One of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa hands down. Love their pizzas - lost in the woods and sincerely Kevin are my two favourites. I usually get a 1/2 and 1/2. I also really enjoy their hot honey burger. Very friendly staff and nice outdoor seating

Very disappointed by last Sunday brunch visit. Food is good, and this is the reason for the crowds on Sunday, but so many things were wrong. There was some very loud machine noise coming from the back, it sounded as construction and if it was, why was this during the busiest time? On top was the noise from many plates and people, and on top the loud music. The result - not able to hear our conversation at the table and had to rush to eat quick and run out. All that after spending so much money - wrong, wrong model! I will never go back again, probably occasional take out of bread and pastry, but never again to pay $20+ per person for breakfast and experience this.

The breakfast sandwiches were delicious. I was a bit disappointed about the fact that the lunch menu and the hamburgers were not available on a Sunday afternoon, I did not get that. I ordered anyway from the breakfast menu although it was 3:00pm and had some sweets that were amaizing. However, the second time around I went to the counter to get my son a couple of macaroons the girl at the cash was very snobby and rude- borderline obnoxious, she pretended she couldn't hear me and wouldn't move away from the cash machine like she was crazyglued to it when I was clearly pointing at something and had some questions for her. When one does not like working with people one has to work some where else.

Used to love the food served but the last few time were mediocre at best. My almond croissant was burnt and dry (put it in a ziplock and had it the next day - it was a bit better) Ham sandwich was dripping with grease - I mean there was a pool of grease on the plate. :(

I am never disappointed with the quality of food whenever I visit this place. The prices are fairly high but the quality and taste of the food make it worth it. Will always come back when I am in town. The ham and cheese sandwich is my absolute favorite!

Nice place with excellent food. Great pare up with beyond the pale brewery. Check out their crazy kronut, pricey but it's huge so worth it.

Love this place. Spectacular pastries and bread. Great for breakfast or lunch. Love their croque-madame and kronuts. Coffee is always spot on. It can get busy in this warehouse setting, but the food is worth some patience. If you're looking for a decadent stop, this is it--real ingredients all the way.

Enjoyed an amazing soy latte. One of the best I have ever sipped on here in Ottawa. Thank you to who ever made it <333. Breakfast is always great. Almond croissants are to die for!

Usually love brunch here but this morning was a disappointment to say the least. Ordered their delicious grilled cheese without bacon (because I'm vegetarian). My sandwich had bacon on it which is fine because mistakes happen. After getting my sandwich back it was obvious someone just pulled off the bacon, leaving a piece, and gave it back to me. Super disappointed and I most likely won't return now.

Just had my first lunch visit at Art Is In and I was not disappointed, very yummy :) :). I had one of their burgers and it was amazing. Be warned though, the lineup and wait time can be quite long during their busy lunch hour. I wish and recommend to the owners that they develop an online ordering system for takeout customers, most people can't take a lunch longer than an hour and my wait today to order the food and receive it was 45 minutes - this was for takeout. I thought I was being smart and arrived earlier at 11:30am, this sadly, was not early enough!

The food was good, The service not so much. I had a chicken ceasar sandwich. Didn't blow me away! For the price they are charging I expected more. 12.95$ for a sandwich??? Won't try this place again.
