We go to Zizi’s every so often, usually for a celebration or a birthday, and it never disappoints. Barb is so kind and welcoming; listening to her go through the specials will make your mouth water! It’s a very small and intimate restaurant with a well thought out menu and delicious sangria. I recommend it to everyone I know.
This is definitely Riverside south ' s best kept secret.

We go all the time and it is one of our favourites! A small gem for wine and food lovers! Anytime there is a crab cake special, I'm there. But I always love the limoncello martini and seafood linguini.
The service was inviting, friendly and prompt even though the restaurant was at max capacity. The food was nicely cooked and delicious. It's a nice place to relax, take in the friendly atmosphere, enjoy a good meal.

We had a great dinner here. Our first time. Fresh homemade bread, tasty and inventive flavour combinations and food served hot! We had mezes, chicken gorgonzola and moussaka, all delicious. Service was terrific (thanks Barb!), and lemon cake for dessert was a perfect ending. We will be back!

What a hidden gem! Over the last year, Zizi’s Kitchen has become our favourite restaurant for dinner and we have yet to be disappointed in any ways! Located at the corner of River Road and Earl Armstrong Road, the restaurant is easily accessible and always offers lots of parking. Inside the premises, you find a warm decor, a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, outstanding service and, first and foremost, some incredible dishes expertly prepared by Chef Ferdi.
Everything on the menu is excellent, even though by now my wife and I have some definite favourites. For me, it is their many pizzas, all of which unique and delicious. Also, their wine list is varied and offers excellent values compared to other dining establishments of that caliber.
We have often hosted friends, guests and family at Zizi’s and the evening is always so appreciated. And please don’t forget to make reservations. The place does fill up quite quickly!
We have been going here for at least 5 years and it is one of our favorites. A true gem in the burbs. It is so nice to have this quality of restaurant without the hassle of going downtown. The Gorgonzola Chicken remains our favorite but their daily fish specials are a close second. Love this place!
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Ottawa. While the outside is typical suburban stripmall, the inside is well decorated, subdued lighting, with a great abstract European mural on one wall, and a good variety of table sizes for all groups. They have quite an extensive wine list, with everything offered by the glass, and the wine complements the food very well. They also have a good selection of fun cocktails. The chef - Ferdi - really knows what he is doing. Simple fresh ingredients combined in inspired ways so that the specials are ever changing and unique. I have been here dozens and dozens of times and have never been bored by the same menu! Try the Meze - the halloumi cheese is delicious. Barb and Laura are great - very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. It's a great place to go for some appetizers and a glass of wine if you are in a rush, or to spend three hours on a very relaxed meal.
A great atmosphere to enjoy dinner or a drink; a gem in Riverside South. The mezze is a great sharing option- don't miss the kofte! But the real star is the pizza... And the ball of warm, fragrant dough served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as a tantalizing starter.
We've been going here since they opened and have always enjoyed our meals. The small space is cozy and inviting. Perfect for impromptu date nights. My husband is crazy for fish, almost always orders it, and then raves about it for days!
I came here with some family, per their recommendation, and really enjoyed it! There were about six of us, so we ended up ordering a slew of appetizers and then our own entrees. I really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, I don't quite recall what we ordered, but suffice to say, it was all quite good.
The ambiance inside was very nice, if a bit too dark; we all had a bit of trouble reading our menus!
Birthday dinner march 26 2015. Amazing food, second visit was just as delicious as the first. Was able to try more of the menu this time. Don't pass up the desserts, they are fantastic! Great server, was very attentive. Will be back for sure!
I just found out about this place today. Rated fifth best restaurant in Ottawa on Yrip Advisor and it's nearby so we checked it out. Warm decor, friendly staff, tasty food. I had the steak frites - perfectly done, fresh and hot frites. My husband had the souvlaki and really liked it. We started with Cesar salads and their fresh hot buns with good balsamic. Will be going back - the pizza looked delish

Gluten free pasta made in house!. Usually we have whatever fish dish is on special - this chef does fish very well- but last visit we opted for the pasta. Lovely. Glad we did. Service is always attentive without being intrusive, food is fast and fresh, and the house red is actually pretty good.
We always over-order, and leave stuffed, so next time will skip the meze as the mains are plenty. Lol or just have the meze and dessert.

Don't tell anyone..... This place is doing it right!
As a local I must say we are spoiled in Manotick for good eats. You name it, we've got it. Add this place to the top of the pile as a new favorite, but please don't tell anyone else. I still want to be able to waltz in on a whim on Friday night and get a table without waiting an hour!
Been here on date night with picky BH and his expensive palate and we both left satisfied. Had the meze plate mix of appetizers to start. The feta/phyllo one was a favorite, but all were good, though I wouldn't choose the mushrooms again, since they were essentially mushrooms fried and then coated in pesto. With so many other options leave that one out. I had the gorgonzola chicken, which almost killed me it was so rich (in a good way) cause the portion was so big and I just. couldn't. stop. He had the steak frites and while the steak was a bit well for his taste (gasp!), he said it was very flavorful and so didn't send it back when the server offered to remedy the situation. All wine bottles reasonably priced for the selections. As for the cost, well, it cost us $120 for the two of us with drinks and tip. We found this to be reasonable for the quality of food and service we received, but for others who think that is too expensive, may I recommend the Broadway location next door (not a slight, but true).
My new local eatery!. Went with friends on a Sunday night and loved it! When you're dining in Riverside South you're not looking for downtown food or downtown prices ....and Zizis delivers. Its a smaller menu in a charming room that's well very cooked and cheerfully served. And not crazy expensive. We'll be back very soon.
A local favorite!. We discovered this new addition to our neighborhood last week-and so happy we did. We were a party of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff is always friendly and we were greeted with a smile. The food is made in an open kitchen style-and is delicious. We love Mediterranean food and their menu is a collection of pastas, pizzas, and chicken. My personal favorite is the Meze plate-where we picked a few different appetizers. It was great way to share something to start with-after they served their hot homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic. I tried their Chicken Marsala- on their special board and it was great! My guests selections, were off their menu and they were just as happy with their choices. Their wines are reasonably priced as is their menu, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. If you are looking for a place with great service and wonderful food-this is the place to go!
A delicious new addition to dining in Riverside South! My husband and I chose meals from the specials board, a glass of sangria and an appetizer platter and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Looking forward to another visit!

Delicious! My husband and I each had the steak frittes with the peppercorn sauce and Ceasar salad. The steak, perfection. The salad, crisp and fresh. Great value too. Will definitely be going back shortly!

Started with the PEI mussels, lots of tomato basil sauce, I’ll try the Coconut ginger next time.
The Mousakka main course was infused with flavours throughout and well worth having repeatedly. Plate was hard to give back at the end of a wonderfully prepared meal.

The food is amazing (delicious, great portions and selection, reasonable prices), the service is so warm and friendly, and the atmosphere/decor is chic and cozy - a very surprising find in a suburban enclave! Always a great dinner at Zizi's kitchen. I had the Cod tonight and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, served with rice and tender vggies. . We had the meze appetizer with kafta, potatoes, philo and was just right. For dessert, i had the crême brulé and it was the best ive tasted in a very long time.

my wife and I went there first time, PERFECT place and great service. I had a sea foot pasta, my wife had chicken salad and were DELICIOUS, friendly owner, staff. Well recommended. Went here for Valentine's/Anniversary. We ordered the Meze as an appetizer, and the lamb tangine, and burger. My husband and I split our meals 50/50 as we couldn't commit to one dish as both were so good. The restaurant is small, but has a nice intimate atmosphere.
