Review Wok Box - Oshawa

I had Wok Box once a few years ago and I liked it. Recently, I ordered noodles and crispy chicken. I wouldn’t return to Wok Box. For starters, there were no vegetables at all in it which surprised me for that price range but wasn’t a big deal (I thought the portion size and taste would make up for this, spoiler, it didn’t). Right when I opened the box, I was disappointed, the portion size felt like a rip off. The “regular” container is not even close to half full. I’m not sure why they use such a large container to barely fill it and make it look empty? For over 14 bucks, this was not even remotely close to worth it. As for the taste, it wasn’t very good. It wasn’t bad… but it was meh, tasted like frozen dinner chicken. I’ve had better chicken bites made at home from the freezer. Not much flavour in the food either at all. I definitely would not return, I’m shocked they are still going with such low quality food, high prices, and small portions sizes (three strikes)! Staff seemed nice though, friendly. Great food, decently priced. Small but good atmosphere inside (considering the fast food nature) if you choose to stay in. Consistent quality and adjustable spice level for those who like a little less or more than average.

Came in today for a sweet and sour chicken box and I was beyond impressed! The chicken is not fatty or chewy and the sauce amount added is perfect. The staff are so friendly and always welcoming. This is the second time I’ve come here and will be returning more often due to the great portions and amazing service! ☺️

I ordered 4 regular sized rice boxes through doordash and i’m in disbelief that they offer half sizes considering the regular is so small. 15 dollars for a child size meal is ridiculous. the photo included is supposed to be the korean beef bulgolgi but my meal looked nothing close to the photo provided on their site.

First time I’ve tried WOK BOX in Oshawa. The food is tasty, but I found out it’s missing some of the prime ingredients. I ordered chicken with my box meal and found a few pieces of chicken. Once you empty your 4” X 3 1/2” X 4” Box on a plate (if you choose not to eat from the tiny box), you see lots of noodles, bean sprouts, a few veggies and a sauce, … but little of the main ingredient that you ordered! $14.00 for a regular box (which is a small box 4” x 3 1/2” X 4” approx. size) of your choice, … I feel that you just don’t get your money’s worth! And you feel it. I would not return to Wok Box unless they add much more of the ingredients you order. I believe that you can get a lot more of your money’s worth, going elsewhere. So disappointed.

My boyfriend is so happy with his first experience here that he's really hoping to keep trying different meals. He got the chicken and noodles. He really wants to try to beef and broccoli. Hopefully if you go you enjoy it too!

First time eating here. The food was amazing but a bit pricey. I would highly recommend eating here as you won’t be disappointed. I had a “Sumo” sized Pad Thai, order of pot stickers and a Montellier water. Delicious!!

Welcoming and friendly staff. The food is very good. I ordered the Thai Red. The portions are big. I recommend.

At first I was scared to go in here based on the reviews below. So let me set the record straight; THE SERVICE WAS FINE, the people were nice and very helpful. However, the food needs a bit of work. Every Asian "noodle house" should have (must) the following ingredients; fresh chopped garlic, onions and egg. Although I can appreciate pre cutting your vegetables for accuracy/standards sake, you still should have the bare minimum to make an Asian noodle from scratch ( being a noodle house and all). I ordered the "Dan dan" extra spicy, which was a bad idea. If it wasn't for my 2014 Gamy wine right now I wouldn't be eating this...It's just noodles smothered in hot sauce. My husband on the other hand got the " cashew Singapore noodles" and it was delicious but needed a little bit of hot sauce/ a bit dry. The general idea of the store is good, but they could use some tweaking from their head office. To help deliver delicious healthy food. The portion sizes are also respectable for the price.

Always awesome service, great staff, and great food! If you have someone new in line ahead of you who is not initiated into the wonderful world of Wok Box's food, you may have to wait a little longer as the staff explain the menu to the new customers. But if you had no clue about the many different types of food and customizations offered wouldn't you like the same explanation? (In regards to previous review of waiting too long/ people walking out - I was there at that time.) Patience is a virtue and the food is worth it! If you don't have time to wait, you can always call your order in prior to arriving.

This location has been one of my go-to's since opening! Very friendly staff, nice variety of food, and most of all it's great that Oshawa has a Wok Box! Keep up the great work~

Not satisfied with this place. $10 for raw shredded cabbage, bean sprouts, and carrots with 5 shrimp and a broth that was just water, no flavour. Not good guys.

Thank you to the wonderful employee who I spoke to at the store tonight regarding the school lunch program. I wish I had asked your name. You put me at ease with all my allergy questions. My kids loved the food and is looking forward to a new food option at school. ���� we have a new dinner place to take our kids.

Bad first experience.... probably won't go back. Very expensive... didn't get what we requested.

I just got served by a phenomenal Young man named Jordan. He went out of his way to make everyone feel special...and it was busy. It’s been along time since I’ve seen that level of customer service. Hire 10 more Jordans!

We first found Wok Box in London and would go whenever we visited our daughter who's attending University there. However, it's summer and I couldn't wait til August so had to try the Oshawa one. Great, friendly staff and the food was just as awesome! We need more Wok Box's. Cobourg or Belleville would be great! (Hint hint)

The girl was rude behind cash and let 4 people walk out while waiting to order and should've requested help from the people hanging in the back...I use to go once a week...never again....

The best!! Never had better quality and taste! Will be ordering again and again. Clearly a great first impression!

This was not a pleasant experience. We watched the prep area, where a staff member was swearing at the orders. One of our orders took about 5 mins. The other one 5 mins, or more after. I thought it tasted burnt. And it was smaller then our other order. As I was eating we heard the staff talking about how they learned now, how not to burn the Thai sauce. So they knew it was burnt and served it anyways. And that's why we said nothing to the young staff members. Who just obviously lack the experience to prepare this type of food.
