Review Viva Burritos - Oshawa

Such a hidden gem! we've been to Mexico for a couple of years. Miss Mexican food all the time. Searching for tons of taco places for a long time but there’s nothing like real authentic Mexican homemade food. Fortunately, we found this VIVA burritos! I ordered birria and fish tacos and pozole soup...VIVA!!! We asked the owner to stay here forever! It brings me to the Baja California casa. We appreciate he ran this restaurant 12yrs ago with great skills to cook. Only one flaw is there needs a ventilation system. I just worried about his lung health.

Wow. First time visit. Exceptional tacos and amazing price. Great service too. This place is a real gem. Chorizo was exceptional. Treat yourself to a jar of the house-made salsa. Also best corn tortillas I've had in a long time (don't fall apart!)

Great, fresh authentic tasting burritos and taco’s. The owner was really friendly and the food was delicious. The prices are more than fair for the product and portion size. We loved their house made sauces, especially the habanero Xtra-Hot! You can easily leave Viva Burritos stuffed for under $10. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, you have to stop in and try.

The be all end all of the burrito world. Authentic south american style food in the heart of dirty shwa. The one and only Burrito Blacksmith at Viva.

There is nothing that hits the spot like the food from Jesus at Viva Burritos. This little restaurant is a gem, that fills your belly and warms you to the bottom of your toes. Food is tasty and affordable and you won't leave hungry. My kids demanded extra take out to take home!

Really authentic and delicious burritos. They put the money into the food and it shows. I don't think I've had better value for a burrito. Highly recommended!

One of the longest independent burrito places in town. There's 100% authentic Mexican. I've been going here for 13 plus years since they opened and Jesus has yet to ever disappoint me!!!!

Ordered a chorizo burrito good size to price, lots of toppings, but I don't think I got chorizo, as the meat provided was almost ground chicken in colour and not spicey. Will try again if I'm in the area incase this was a topping mix up as everything else was on point!

Came with my son and his friend, we loved our corn tacos and whole wheat burrito, and the large salad is wow so filling that I'm taking most of it home. The X hot habenero sauce is truly Spicy :) Owner/Chef is very friendly and patient with our many questions! It's a little place with a few tables and window stools but they have private parking in the back!

It’s okay but I been there twice and I’ve been observing the cook, he is the only one there handling cash and the kitchen witch I don’t like at all for cross contamination. When it’s busy with lineup he didn’t wash his hands.

I have never been disappointed when visiting Viva Burritos, The service is awesome and quick! I enjoy eating in the restaurant as I enjoy the latin music that plays and the "homey" feel with the different tables and chairs.

Always amazing. Best burritos around! J that runs the place is the man and really knows how to treat his customers. Fresh food, great service, at a great price. If you like burritos, you must try this place. You don't know what your missing.

If you are still eating those burritos from those chain stores you need to stop and head over to Viva Burrito! Best burrito around ,hands down!

This place reminds me of home. I get to eat food just like my abuela used to make. The owner, his family chat with me like family. It's heaven I it!

2017/01/16<br/>I was in downtown Oshawa on Monday at a client office, and I used the Zomato app to locate something close by that would be quick for lunch. I found Viva Burritos, which was just around the corner. <br/><br/>This is a somewhat typical "build your own" burrito shop that also serves tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and salads, with chicken, beef or chorizo. For most of the items there are two sizes (small and regular), and white or whole wheat tortillas where applicable. I ordered the regular with chicken on whole wheat, which came with rice, beans, and a number of fresh toppings. It was a good, filling burrito that was pretty messy by the time I got to the last few bites.

Amazing home style burritos honestly you can't beat it in Oshawa. Everything is fresh and delicious. Best way to do it is get two smaller, a steak and pulled pork with two Jarritos.

Long time customer!. I have been eating at VB for years. The burritos are so good. I highly recommend this place! The owner is a stand up guy who works hard. He is a one-man show pumping out delicious eats one customer at a time. I usually order one tostada and a small burrito (mix of chorizo and pulled pork). Visit VB before you go to Jimmy G's or Mucho.

Real Mexican burritos! Best in durham. This place is the best. I go there with my girlfriend 2-3 times a week and we never get sick of it. The taste.... Oh my goodness! Unlike any other burrito I've ever had, and I have had many burritos in my day. You can tell the owner has pride in the quality of food he provides. The spices are authentic and so flavorful, the food is fresh, and what I like the most, they have vegan options!!! The owner makes a mean veggie chorizo burrito and again... Oh my goodness! For sauces, they are all homemade (just about everything they have is homemade) the owner makes this cilantro sauce that I've never seen or heard of before. Amazing. He says it's an old recipe from back home in Mexico, I say it's a vegans best friend :) <br/><br/>I can't say enough about this place. With everything good there is to say about the quality of the food and service.... The value is best in town. 5 bucks for a small burrito. 7.50 for a large, taxes in... And the large is about the size of a mucho at mucho burrito... I recommend this to everybody that enjoys burritos and gets them often, those of you will appreciate this place the most. <br/><br/>Hope this helps!

Delicious!!!!! Totally addicted to these. Great prices and value for money. All fresh ingredients. Place is always busy whenever I go in. Definitely could eat these every day. Yum!

Love the burritos here! Great taste to them and a good price. I was happy to see they sold Jarritos, a pop I really like but is hard to find; delicious!

Best burritos in durham. Probably my favourite place for breakfast or lunch. The BEST burritos in all of durham, if not the best outside of Mexico.<br/><br/>Highly recommended, and the Staff are awesome too.
