An authentic home style Greek Restaurant great for a group or just you or a few friends. Lamb was amazing. We've been a total of 3 times each trying something different. Vegan friendly.

The place was pretty good, its was not busy. The server & the chef were very friendly. They just took over this restaurant & serving now Vietnamese cuisine, they do still keep some of the olg Greek food aswell. The was amazing& the price are reasonable. Most of the things, they are very polite & serve the food with passion. I will definitely return again to try more of their menu selections.

Ordered the Pork Soulvaki dinner ($18) which included a side ceasar salad, which I didn't get a picture of, but it was the perfect size, and delicious! This dinner included 2 skewers of meat. Definitely a large portion, I would recommend sharing if you are not so hungry. I loved how the potatoes were seasoned and cooked. Everything was very flavourful, fresh and juicy, nothing was dry or overcooked which tends to happen at some Greek restaurants. I went with 4 other adults and one child, we all ordered a Soulvaki dinner and 2 Grilled Calamari Appetizers. Again not pictured, but definitely recommend. It was cooked to perfection, great portion, came with capers, diced onions, tomatoes and a balsamic vinaigrette at the side with cut, crisp and seasoned pita bread. All of this with 1 coke, came up to $129. We were all happy with the food as well as the service. Would definitely come back again.

Great atmosphere, great food. The lamb was perfectly cooked, tasty and soft. The greek beer was delicious. Be back for sure. Just qn advise, if you want to go during the weekend better make a reservation as it gets busy.

Went there about a month ago. It was a Saturday afternoon and it just opened for lunch. Place is dated with fancy style tablecloths that don't really belong in a casual place, in my opinion, especially when stained even slightly. This doesn't usually bother us as we are all about the food not the look of the place. However, the place smelled musty and the food was not great. The Greek salad was definitely day old as cucumbers were translucent and tomatoes mushy and barely any cheese on it. The eggplant dish though not bad had the stem still attached and the flavour of the sauce lacking. My son had the calamari which was very good. Others have had a better experience so I'm assuming it was an off day? Anyway most likely not going back as it wasn't our taste.

It was a slow night and we were quite happy not to be rushed or in here in a busy night. The owner serves us , she was pleasant and explained the specials. I am particular about fish dishes, I took a chance on a Tommy special, it was perfect. All the meals served that night hit the spot. Good food and reasonable prices Definitely a place to get good food

The food here is terrible mediocre at best, overpriced as well. The gryo meat is frozen and just grilled tasted too peppery and dry. Don’t waste your money go somewhere else

A weekend lunch was in order, so my mom and I decided on Greek. Chef Tommy's has been there for a few years, but I hadn't got the chance to go. It's not a big place, but it's cozy and tastefully decorated. . I was dying for chicken, so Chicken Souvlaki on a Pita was my choice. My mom went with the Mediterranean Grilled Sole. They both came with soup, so I had the Lentil Soup and my mom chose the Spicy Cabbage Soup. These soups are made in house and taste homemade; full of veggies and delightfully seasoned. After polishing off our soups, the entrees arrived.

When I suggested this place I was thinking souvlaki, gyros, and some decent Greek salad. I had no idea what was in store for me.

A lively decor and friendly staff, excellent wine menu, and upscale Greek inspired creations. I immediately fixated on the stuffed calamari special. It came with salad - with a spicy option that I turned down but my friend assured me I could have handled (sold to us as "not too spicy.. We are Greek, not Portuguese"), the smoothest lemon potatoes I ever had, and steamed vegetables. The calamari itself was superb. A bit chewy in a perfect way with a medley of rice, spice, and seafood inside, all of that covered by a gentle tomato sauce. It was like no other Greek food I have ever been exposed to.

Of course, I finished with baklava and coffee, both so delicious that I forgot to share. Entire meal for one person was in the forty dollar range with no alcohol, but it was worth every penny.

I will be back to try some menu items.

Have been to Tommy's twice now and hope to get there again today for my anniversary dinner! Simply put without a long story behind it ! Tommy's is really, really good food ! Of course it is Greek food and of course Greek food is great ! They have a selection of wines that compliment their food and all in all it is a great place to eat and feel the great Greek hospitality!Cheers to Tommy's Noel n Pauline Oshawa, Ontario

Golden Girls visit. The Golden Girls are women in their golden years who get together monthly going out to eat in different restaurants in the Region of Durham. For the most part we are all retired Region of Durham employees. This is an excuse to get together to visit without adding the burden of entertaining on any one individual. Our requirements are as follows: no steps, accessible washroom, accessible parking, tables large enough to accommodate our group size and the privilege of having separate bills. Some of us need canes or walkers to get around so need the space in the restaurant for us to manage. We also eat at 5:00 p.m.
Chef Tommy's did not disappoint meeting our requirements. The food was decent, the service was decent and the staff polite. We did have to ask them to offer us more light. With advancing age most of us need more light to read the menu and see one another. A darkened room may be preferable for young couples but not for us.
The only issue I had was the salad I asked for to go had the dressing packed in a separate container and put under the salad. Upon first inspection it looked like the dressing had not been included. The person I had bought the salad for had already put his own dressing on the salad and was half way through eating it before he discovered the container with the dressing in it. I thought this odd so left a voice mail message with the restaurant explaining this. I did not receive a reply much to my surprise.
All in all I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Decent food at high prices. In was excited to see a new Greek restaurant in North Oshawa. After getting my first meal there I was surprised at their premium prices for slightly above average Greek food. The staff seemed to be a little grumpy as well.

Oh well ...

Decided to try this place out tonight. Almost every table was reserved being a Saturday night, but we were accommodated with a 2 hour window. Absolutely great. Service, food. 10/10. Will have to be our new place in oshawa. Suggest making a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights though.

Horrible. A friend and I made a last minute decision to stop in on a busy Saturday, we were greeted with "Do you have a reservation?" Not hello, good evening, how are you? We did not have a reservation, and we thought if they were too busy we'll just try the next place but we were seated right away and we thought Great! We waited 15 minutes for someone to come by and tell us the specials, and nothing else. If they had been flat out busy I could understand but several other tables had been seated after we arrived and they had received their appetizers and drinks while no one had even taken our drink order. I couldn't tell you about the food because after another 15 minutes of being ignored we flagged down the waitress to tell her why we were leaving. A weak apology was offered but nothing will convince me to go back here or recommend it to anyone.

AMAZING!. Wanted to try something new so my boyfriend and I walked into Chef Tommy's just this past Friday night. We were acknowledged immediately and given a table. The candlelight was a little touch I always appreciate. We had a server named Mike who was super professional and so much fun to talk to, but ALL the staff there were amazing. Our appetizers and entre came very quickly - we were STARVING so we really appreciated that too. The food? INCREDIBLE. FINALLY REAL FOOD. NOTHING we tried was a disappointment. I can't say enough about the quantity, the flavor. You can tell it was all fresh food and ingredients. The tzaziki was arguably the best I've had at any restaurant. It didn't taste or look like store bought sauce. We had to order extra!

Now for price: For both of us with an appetizer, extra pita, extra tzaziki, two entrees, dessert and two drinks = $60. I don't think this is unreasonable considering the quality is way better than any chain restaurant. If you went to Boston Pizza, the Keg, or East Side Mario's you would come across the same prices. Basically, you get what you pay for! We ate our faces off and still went home with leftovers. Totally worth it if you ask me.
I can't say enough about this place. I've been searching for a real good quality meal for so long which is why we were wanting to try someplace new. It exceeded expectation and needless to say I am going back!

Amazing. My boyfriend and I walked in 10 minutes before closing and were half expecting to be turned away. We were so happy when our order was accommodated and enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited. When we got the food home we were very pleased. The portions were huge. The food was seasoned to perfection. Sometimes Greek food can be greasy but Chef Tommy was not, it was perfect! I know I will eat there again and again

Atmosphere/decor was in the spirit of what I would expect in a Greek restaurant. Staff very welcoming, helpful with the menu, even with a bit of a language barrier, but no real issue communicating ultimately. This ain’t no cookie cutter chain establishment.

We had to have Saganaki (flame included at this place, which was cool!) and one of my faves, Dolmades, both delicious as they should be. Then we all ordered from the Specialties menu, 2 Shrimp Saganakis, a Papoutsaki and I rounded out the choices with a Lamb Kleftiko. We were mostly full from the appetizers, which included endless and tasty servings of pita triangles, and salads, etc. and everyone made a solid effort on the entrees, which looked and tasted fantastic, but I have to say, my Lamb Kleftiko, with its gorgeous, rich flavour, and thin, crunchy envelope of filo was the highlight of all of the dishes, and I would highly recommend you try it.
