Review Cyrus - Oshawa

Food is always great and fresh. Customer service is always great and I love how this doesn't have very strong flavor or scent of spices. Definitely go to at least once if you like shawarma 😋

I have been a regular customer for several years often coming in for a quick snack. My only issue with the place was that they used to close quite early with very short hours and items on the menu al ways being sold out. With the change of the new owners they have been able to keep the food quality excellent and also extend the hours and availability of the food. I recommend:)

Love this place, best tasting hot sauce around. Been going here for years. However it's a hit or miss. Lately with the new guy (nice guy nothing wrong with him) but I find the portions are weak. Like theirs so much rice and hardly and chicken on top. You're paying almost $14 for a plate, anywhere else you get twice the amount of chicken as you do here. With the owner and his wife, you get a bit more chicken, in my opinion it's still not that much but it's at least more appropriate then what I've been getting lately with the new guy. If they ever increase the chicken Portion I'll change the review.

A bit far away from in Oshawa, Durham region I came across an amazing little Persian restaurant called Cyrus. I was amazed that this family owned restaurant has been serving Oshawanian for 14 years already. From wrap to full meal plates, spicy or non, you will find the famous Persian kebabs from minced beef to chicken or steak along with rice and saffron rice you have an amazing array of options to satisfy your cravings parking in Oshawa and the neighbours without driving to Toronto. They also offer shawarma with shawarma authentic ingredients. That is the beautify of a small restaurant in a small little city of Oshawa. The restaurant is actually a house that is modified to serve patrons and it has a large parking lot at the back. The staff are high-energy and full of life and smile and the price is quite reasonable. In front yard, there are a few tables where one can eat outside if wished. At this time due to COVID, they are open for takeout only and they package the food with care and love! I visited this place for the first time last night. The taste of the shawarma has a very authentic taste and was similar to what I used to have back home! Staff was very friendly. Will be back soon and get the taste of Middle East again. Thank you Cyrus for this great sorma.

Went to Cyrus again recently... not good. Very tasteless food and low quality, when it always used to be so good. There is a new owner. Cyrus is not there anymore (new owner will not tell you that and says he is coming back). Thankfully Cyrus is opening a food truck up on Winchester Road with the other food trucks where we will be able to get all the delicious food we are used to getting from him. The new food truck is called Shah's of Shawarma. I'm sure the line-ups will be long!

It used to be amazing food, now with new owner(s) it is alright. The quality definitely dropped but the food is still decent. The biggest issue is customer service went downhill, they have poor time management and mixup orders/give out wrong orders.
