Swanmore Terrace - Orillia - Photo album

A fabulous location for an author to live, cottage, entertain, and write. You are free to roam around most of the house and gardens. There is a pretty bay and boathouse at the point of the property. You'll learn about Stephen Leacock's life and impact. We paid $5 admission.
Beautiful flowers on water .A magical place well kept up
We had a great visit of the Leacock museum. The interior is mostly kept in its original shape, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the basement and upper floor were closed during our visit. The front and back yards are also very nice to walk in. Entrance fee to the building is $
Great informative tour delivered by Andrew. Good history. Very nice grounds. Zen moments. Calm. Peaceful.
I thoroughly enjoyed the visit, experiencing the home and spirit of the renounced writer. If you enjoy reading, writing and history, you should come to visit.

Great location for your winter activities. Summer will be much greater than winter.
