Review Corks Restaurant - Oakville

Came on Valentines Day. Very nice atmosphere for a dinner for 2. Food was a little slow but understandable. Staff was nice. Food tasted amazing.

Enjoyed a Taste if Oakville dinner. Happy to find that all of the entree’s were gluten free! I had the vegetable soup, seafood paella a taste of the piri piri chicken and the creme brûlée. All were delicious and full of flavour!

Excellent curried chicken. We really loved it. Our friends have the fish and chips and they said that it was awesome. Highly recommended. If you are in Niagara on the Lake, you should go to Corks.

It is with great pleasure that I write this review . . . I had an event at the newly opened space at Corks this weekend; which has a cozy industrial/ rustic look with large picture windows. The food and quality of service was outstanding! Tammy, Gary and staff went over and beyond, to ensure my event was a huge success. The dedication to servicing their clients and attitude is none other than amazing. I would highly recommend them hands down. Thank you 😊🙏

This is our 5th visit to Corks and we had invited friends based on previous experience. Unfortunately even though the restaurant was nearly empty the service from the kitchen was sporadic and we received our appetizers at different times. Our appetizers were not correct based on our previous visits to the restaurant. Menus were taken away before we were able to order our main meal, thus we ordered our main meal late. Even these did not come out all at the same time and a couple of the meals were cold.. This tells me there is a problem in the kitchen. Our desserts were fair, lemon custard was not very lemony and the pie crust was soggy. The one lemon tart was delivered to the table and the waitress said " that one fell apart", why would you take a $10.00 dessert to a customer falling apart and think it is ok. The restaurant was extremely hot and we asked to have the air conditioning turned up to cool the place. The white wine was great. As we recommended this restaurant to our guests it approved to be an embarrassing event. Would strongly suggest they reevaluate the quality of the chef and the way the timing of the food from the kitchen to the client and the quality of the food verses the price. It makes it difficult for us to go back and we like to support local restaurants.

We visit several times a year. Service and food never fails to please. Atmosphere is casual, waitresses unfailingly pleasant and helpful, without being intrusive. Outdoor patio just got better with a new open wood framed canopy, that offers sunny or shaded spots throughout the day. Food is always fresh, tasty, and served with excellent presentation. The lamb meatball tapa for one is exceptional. Cheers

The food was a bit boring. I thought it would be more flavorful and fun. I brought my parents for dinner and we had tapas. The cod tacos had too much mayo and the tortilla wraps were not soft. The deep fried cod, shrimp and calamari were too salty but the 3 shrimp were tasty. The scallops were nice, perfectly cooked, but the sauce was too oily. The ceviche was nice, light and fresh. We did not like the piquilo peppers because of the grey filing. The seafood paella was pretty good, nicely cooked seafood. Sorry not to leave a better review. Service was good and the decor is welcoming and pretty.

Came here again after a couple years. Tapas are good, had the stuffed peppers and tacos. We opted for the paella special that night, crab and scallops with peas and it was the worst rice dish I've ever tasted. I wouldn't even call it paella. I'm an avid tapas and paella eater - Spanish cooking and culture is my heritage and passion, so I might have high standards. I like the atmosphere, the staff were great, but if I'm looking for tapas and paella in the future, I won't be coming here. It's also very expensive. Our bill came to $111.00 for peppers, two tacos, one paella, one glass of wine and one water with gas.
