Review Agabi Grill House - Oakville

Friendly service, good tasting food. The dining room was a bit cold, but might have just been me. More expensive than others but the portions are pretty large and the quality is great. Their sauces are also very nice. Overall, good as it has always been.

Very friendly and cosy atmosphere. Staff are very nice and attentive. Quick service with a smile. My choice of food was fish and chips with Greek salad. Salad was very delicious, so was my main. Great place to visit for lunch or dinner. Will be back soon for more. Keep up the good work guys!

Cozy, well decorated and well lit. Service is great. Food is tasty, spiced and cooked well. I recommend the lamb kabaab's. They just need more parking lol.

Nice food, great portions and value for money. Staff is super attentive and friendly - they need to advertise more because this place SHOULD BE PACKED at lunchtime!! It's so good! Go and visit, support it, and EAT WELL!

Great Greek style cuisine with variety of combinations to satisfy individual taste. Convenient location and parking, cosy inside, quick service, fair price.

This restaurant is there for quite some time. Owner is their chef. They cook in open kitchen which is visible from dining area. They have a good selection of Mediterranean food. Their "Grilled Platter" is very good. Their seasoning is on the milder side. Could be little more intense. 'Lental soup' and 'Mushroom soup' are delicious. Their dinner combo is around $15 includes soup, salad and and entree. Prices are very reasonable. They have limited alcohol service. Owner and staff are friendly. Open dining area and Good atmosphere. Well worth a visit. I will visit again.

Was really empty Friday afternoon. But food was great. Staff was very sweet. Gives you a mom and pop shop feel.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Menu is quite varied and prices reasonable. Service was friendly and efficient.

I’d give a -5 review if I could. I ate here a few times before today and thought it was a decent restaurant. They charge premium prices, so one would expect premium service. Today I found a hair in my food (attached to a piece of chicken) with 1/4 of my shawarma left, the waitress offered me another shawarma and I said ok, to go, because I just lost my appetite and my lunch break was ending. The owner came to the table after(I’m thinking to make amends for the disgusting piece if hair) and says “yeah you ate your shawarma and asked for another one eh?”. I explained to him that there was hair in my food, which he saw and he didn’t care, telling me to not come back if I didn’t want too. I’ve never experienced such terrible service in my life - ESPECIALLY from a business owner. Pretty pathetic. I will never go there again. Maro’s across the street is pretty much the same price but 10x better in quality and 100x better in service. Go to maro’s if I were you.

A joke to all shawarma places. Went in there to place my order asked for a shawarma she charged me 8.99$ and when i told her what i wanted in it she said we only put lettuce chicken and garlic sauce and when i asked her to cancel i recieved a dirty look positive im not coming here again

Great food. Agabi's food is so good. Their salads are amazing, with homemade dressing. I'm not a salad person but I could eat their garden or Greek salad every day. They have pita sandwhiches, the chicken pineapple is my favourite. Has fresh pineapple, bacon, and lettuce. They have an amazing garlic sauce that goes with everything as well as a spicy hot sauce. Food is always hot and fresh I've never had a meal I didn't like here. I compare all other Mediterranean food to this restaurant. I've read lots of other reviews that say the service is terrible, I personally don't think it's that bad. It's not the best service ever but they bring you everything you need to eat and refill your drinks often. What else do people want?

Waited at door to be seated before rudely being told to sit where we like. Then waited a full 15 minutes for a menu before walking out. They used to be great but the service was horiffic on this visit. Blaring eminem music didn't help.

Very skimpy with their portions

Terrible Service, Average food, Never going back. I went in to get some take-out over the weekend and waited 45 minutes even though the restaurant was practically empty. The chef was moving around at a snail's pace in the back and was in no rush to get the food out. When it was finally ready, the waiter couldn't even be bothered to bring me the food directly, but left it on the table and motioned to me to pick it up. He turned around, made no eye contact and did not even thank me for my business. On top of this, the food was not great. I've had way better shawarma elsewhere.

I'm never going back there!

Dinner for 3. Well the family went to the AGABI last night for dinner. Teh food was outstanding!! The chef in his fancy hat came out to talk to us, I think the boy, (3) was a little scared of him. The chicken Schwarma cooking on the spit was the talk of the table. The meals were fantastic, a bit higher than my Schwarma lunch spot. the waitress was efficient, and nice. We will be going back

Great food. Lunch for 6. Everything was delicious. Salad was fresh and the lemon dressing was lovely. Soups were so good, very flavourful. Great garlic and hot sauces brought to table in large squeeze bottles added that extra bit of yumminess to the sandwiches. Even the french fries were good, especially with ketchup, garlic, and hot sauce combination....We had creme brulee for desert and they were fabulous...Highly recommend, good food, good value.

You will not be disappointed. We've been going to Agabi since they opened on Lakeshore. The food is the best - its my benchmark for all other mid-eastern restaurants. So far, no one has topped them. It's well priced for the value. Their soups are to die for. The falafels are perfect - light and crisy. We've always had great service. Our only complaint is the noise level and lack of ventiliation in the summer. We liked their previous location better. They do take out too - we're going to try that next time. There will definitely be a next time.

Never going back their again. their service is terrible!

Excellent!. We just had a great early dinner at Agabi. We took our 7-month old son (they have high chairs). The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 5:30pm, but within half an hour it had filled up, and there was a line-up for tables. The food was wonderful, with large portions and very reasonable prices. Wine was reasonably priced too. Highly recommend ordering the mixed grill on your first visit, it has a bit of everything.

The calf liver and creamy chicken are excellent!

This is my favorite restaurant! Best shawarma I have tasted! The service and chefs are also very friendly!

An Oasis. We have eaten at Agabi many times and have always had an excellent experience. The staff are always friendly and efficient, and the food is always top-notch. Agabi is one of Oakville's best restaurants.

Best shawarma in Oakville in my opinion, Montforts isn't half as good as it used to be. Montfort's hours are WAY better though. Second best in Oakville is Lourice, and they're open late too. So basically I never go to Montfort's anymore..

Great Food. I have never been disappointed at Agabi. I have been there a few time and is arguably better than Montforts.

Cheers,
Jordan

Agabi means “love” in Egyptian. I LOVE Agabi restaurant on Lakeshore in Oakville. It is THE best lebanese/egyptian food I have ever tasted. Favorites include their freshly made baba ghanouj, falafal, chicken shwarma, creamy chicken with onions green peppers and mushrooms and their fragrant raison and spice rice pilaf! This is a Dobson family takeout staple!
