Review Krua Thai - North Vancouver

$13 lunch special was reasonable! Had their Pad Thai, where diners can ask for spicy/non-spicy and sweetness preferences. It comes with 3 jumbo shrimp, crispy bites, and salad - filling enough for 2 lunches and flavourful. Would come back to try another lunch special. Friendly and prompt service.

Very delicious food, authentic Thai. Tried their spicy Fried noodles with chicken and veg noodles. A must visit for Spicy food lovers.

this place is amazing. they have the BIGGEST DISHES for such an incredible price. check out their lunch specials for sure. you'll end up taking a doggie bag with you. the food is delicious. I'm honestly not crazy about spicy food but they have something for everyone - including moi.! luv the coconut & peanut dishes. keep in mind that they close up shop between lunch & dinner. also they are closed on sundays & mondays. just a warning.!

Very good! Hits the spot for a Thai food craving and is a great spot for the north shore. Also super friendly customer service.

Got takeout via Uber Eats. The 33 Pad See Ew and SP3 Khao Pad Sapparod were especially good. Would have liked some veggies in the chicken red curry but the flavour was great. Overall, really delicious, and happy to support a small local place. (Also, for those reviewers saying this isn't authentic, it's run by a Thai family who goes home for visits whenever they can, so don't be rude!)

Today I order number 7 on the menu, the beef is dry and the food is tasteless. I am very disappointed. And the best part is the young guy who worked there was so cold, not even a thank you when the customer paid or pick up the food. my first time and last time.

This is a hidden gem in North Vancouver . It is a ver cozy place, delicious and exotic menu, a lot of variety and very affordable , Appy gave us a remarkable and outstanding service always with a lovely smile and nice attitude, fast and accurate. We were two people and we had 5 dishes plus a bottle of delicious house wine and ice cream. Very affordable and nice ambience. Hardly can wait to go back. The place is worthy on any occasion. Visited again on Sept 1st , 2019 and the same success!!! All dishes were remarkable delicious

This is one of our most frequented restaurants in the north shore. Their food is always on point and their curries are one the best I’ve had in Vancouver. We also like how they have parking in the back as it’s pretty hard to find parking on lonsdale. Their staff is always friendly and nice. We’ve brought friends and family here and they all love it.

Very average food and I just don't find the food has as much flavour as other Thai restaurants. I find the flavour is quite bland so I ended up didn't finish my meal. I wouldn't go back there since I didn't really like the taste

Absolutely Terrible - Not the Same After Renovations (August 2014 Review). All the reviews written before the brief closure (Early Summer 2014) are completely invalid now. This place used to be a hidden gem, but they completely ruined the quality of their menu after the brief 3-4 week closure they had earlier this summer. Seems like the closure was for them revamping their recipes. I used to love this place, but now I consider it one of the worst Thai restaurants around town. The curries are watered down to the point where its laughable. Try for yourself and you will be confused how a restaurant could serve something this bland. They went from amazing traditional Thai flavor, to watered down bland flavors as if they want to appeal to a wider western demographic. I really hope the owners read this as I am not the only one who shares this opinion. Go back to your roots or I am sorry to say you will eventually lose all your regular customers that used to love this place. First time customers only last for so long, but its the regulars that keep you in business.

Almost made me cry. I used to work at a coffee shop up the street from Krua Thai, and I'd get lunch there on my way to school. Usually I'd be really tired by this point in the day, and had to hurriedly eat my curry on the bus. The first day I opened the styrofoam container to a massive portion of pad thai, salad, and spring rolls, I just about burst into tears.<br/><br/>Thai comfort food at its best: insane value, consistent quality, and some interesting pumpkin-based menu items. The servers have a sense of humour and, though the hours are rather wonky, I adore this place. Portions are big enough for lunch the next day, too.

Friendly&quick service, busy with take out. Traditional green curry was very good. Servers were very friendly. Nice greetings when I entered. They were so busy with take out as well.

I am surprised this restaurant has so many "likes".<br/>the food we had at krua thai displayed none of the complexity and fragrance of good thai food.<br/>instead it was overly sweet (i know thai food is sweet but this place really over does it), and bland in flavour.<br/>we were REALLY disappointed.

North Van's best kept secret. Not only does Krua have the best Thai food on the north shore, it's also my favourite restaurant. From quality, inexpensive food to wonderful, friendly service, Krua Thai has all of it's peers beat by miles. Their Pad is a trademark along with any of their entrees. If you've yet to visit, you're simply robbing yourself from one of the most wonderful little spots on the shore.
