Review Denny's - North Vancouver

Great service but the waiter needed reminders for the food ordered. Among with everything else it balanced out! The best thing was the pancakes! The choconana was the best coming with fried eggs and hash browns! Coffee is also good but getting a cold milkshake ensures a unique kick in the morning!

This was my first time in a Denny's in over 10 years and it was a great experience. Our server was just lovely, very friendly and attentive. My husband had breakfast, and my daughter and I had a combination of sides and everything we ate was delicious. Will definitely return.

Denny's Bennies, oohhh so good... I really like the coffee, new cups. Reasonable prices. Been a long time haven't been in this place, still the same table set up, nice new staffs. New menu cover, utensils seemed to show how long the restaurant is running. Spacious parking and customers come and goes.

Our favourite Denny’s. Simple good food you can count on. 5 star service. Regina is the best server anywhere. We eat out a lot and she is flawless. Kind, funny, fast. She has served us many times and is herself a reason to keep coming back. Just such a pleasant experience every time.

This location used to be run poorly, but it seems something has shifted. The service from McKenzie was excellent. Very attentive and efficient. The handling of people waiting to be seated was poor as we were waiting and then they just took other people that walked in and ignored us standing there waiting for 10min already. Hostess did apologize but they should have a way of noting down names of people waiting in order of arrival. Food was decent today as well. Was pretty greasy in the past but was good meal and freshly prepared. Thanks

Love the seniors menu. Where else can you get a sit down meal for $10.00. Consistent quality food and service. Busy around mealtime often

After the best milkshake I had, 11 years ago, we came back to this restaurant. Better we did not ! This time the server forgot a lot of our ordered items. Food was cold and tasteless. Even the garlic bread, we didn’t ask for, was cold. Server didn’t come by after serving the food. None of us got any refill. After our main, we wanted a dessert, but we didn’t got a chance to order that. Very bad experience, wish we didn’t came back and kept the memory….

I went to Dennys last night & the only thing that was good about our visit was our amazing waitress Elizabeth. Our food was terrible, we got our appetizers with & after our meals arrived. I personally had to wait over 40 minutes for 2 eggs 2 strips of bacon & french fries, I never received my bacon I got nasty sausages instead but Elizabeth our amazing waitress gave me a free dessert due to having to wait so long for my food. If it wasn't for Elizabeth we would have had a very bad dinner experience but because of her we left somewhat happy. Elizabeth YOUR AMAZING!

Waitress forgot about us. Then the Fries were undercooked, burgers were just slapped together and were very greasy, waitress forgot our appetizers, brought 2 gravies when we only ordered one and still charged for both. Will not be returning to this Denny's ever again

We went to Denny's on Monday night for our grandsons 9th birthday,and everything was great. Food,service & staff were amazing. Will definitely continue to go there.

People are hearing what happened to the father and his 2 daughters that were there for breakfast. You are loosing costumers. You need to get rid of your racist waitress. Me and my family "USE" to go there. Believe me I won't expose my sons to this treatment. Refusing to serve people because of their Race is horrible. Denny's better check your employees better.

It was probably the worst visit I’ve had at Denny’s ever. We were seated in a booth that squished my pregnant tummy. When asked to move he said we couldn’t. Our waiter was rushing and rude. Had zero patience for my two kids who were trying to ask questions about the food before making their decision. The only thing I enjoyed was the food and the staff member who took our payment on the way out.

I'm a regular customer for years... love the food!! hope they don't close down for another high rise apartment buildings... keep up the good work dennys and see me next time!

Went for breakfast it was ok though very greeasy service was great for me though. I did notice servers attitude would sour a bit when attending other tables

As usual we were seated promptly, and served right away. Both the host/hostess and the waitress were friendly and fast. When we asked for anything, such as extra napkins, we got them right away..We love your restaurant...

The new mexican spicy grilled chicken and chorizo skillet was way beyond delicious

I was already told. Didn't believe. My steak was supposed to be medium but it was TOO WELL DONE. And it was too small. They don't have WiFi, while even fast foods, have.

I used to go to Denny's everyday while my wife was in hospital and was all fine then . This last visit was a bit sad as my brother had lipstick on his glass and another brother order was wrong n couldn't change his order . Service could be better with smiles and not all grumpy looking .

I'm used to Denny's here in America and the restaurant was across the street from my hotel. I ate here with my now fiancé and paid the bill to break a bill so that I could tip. My guy left his box at the table and I went to retrieve it, not knowing I was followed by my waitress. She proceeded to ask me why I didn't tip her which was unwelcomed and rude cause I was going to tip. I don't know what policy is in Canada so I just shoved whatever change I had into her hand and left. Hopefully they get some better waitresses who don't chase down patrons demanding tips.

All these years growing up on the north shore and have dined here numerous times, I finally write my review for this location. My mother and my aunt had worked here when I was in elementary school. Times may have changed, but the diner environment hasn't. <br/>This location also was popular for the filming of supernatural and other movies.<br/><br/>The American grand slam has always been a classic here. Denny's hasn't been a place where I crave to come eat, but the memories do bring me back here from time to time. I can always remember doodling with crayons and eating while waiting for my mom to get off her shift. Then the high school and uni days it was a place for my hang overs lol.<br/>

It's Denny's. It's good food if you're drunk or hungover. It's okay if you're going out for breakfast sober. Milkshakes, however, are amazing.

I have been coming to this location of Dennys for several months now every weekend for breakfast, and I have recieved EXCELLENT service from a particular staff member named "Heather"! She allways has a smile, is very attentive,allways gets the order right and quickly,,is well presented and personable, just everything I would expect from someone who is at the top of thier proffession! And the food is well prepared, I look forward to my breakfast every weekend, Thankyou Denny's for a great hire!!

The service was excellent. The quesedilla was horrible. They used Kraft slices as the cheese and the sauce was awful, seemed very processed. Not what I expected from Denny's.

Well this was a satisfying dinner. It is pretty awesome how this place is open 24 hours, considering how North Van is like a sleep at 9pm city. Unfortunately, I live on the opposite side of the North Shore, therefore these late night breakfast runs can only happen if I visit my friends on the other side. The service was pretty good considering how they probably work long shifts, one thing that kind of ticked me off was that they served burnt toast. The toast wasn't like super bad that it was unedible, it is just the fact that I wouldn't expect them to serve that to us when we are paying $12 for the meal. Okay sure, if we go to Bons off Broadway I can be fine with burnt toast there... But not Denny's. The price is like quadruple the amount compared to Bons. Okay sure they don't want to waste the food, but honestly I would think making the toast would be the easiest thing to make off the whole menu.

Denny's what have you done to your service?. Really bad customer service. Our server was more busy standing around with her 3 other co-workers gossiping than attending to our needs. I miss the old staff very much. They were great. Will not be coming back to this location again

Bad service. I see a lot of negative feedbacks about this location. Just wanted to share the info with others here, the reason behind the terrible service/food/people at this location is because the owner sold this property to a developer few moths ago, it's going to be tore down and replaced by a apartment building, you can consider the location as "well, I don't care, it's gone already"

Service is so bad.. Everyone ignored me and my friends even they are not busy. <br/>We were waiting for 20mins. to get bill and order foods. <br/>Food is not warm and not really taste.

They cooked my tbone steak perfectly. The server was helpful, knowledge, and attentive. If I'm in the area again I'll come back.

Waiting waiting waiting. Sat 25 minutes to get a drink, 15 mins to<br/>Order food, and about 30 minutes for food to come. Busy Denny's with two servers. Left and went to another place.

It's dennys. It's always open, and I have never had a bad experience here. The service is always good.

Stunningly mediocre omlette. Usually I go to Denny's for a garaunteed good breakfast, this one disappointed.

Avoid this if you possibly can. The food here is pretty pathetic, but what tops it all is the lousy service, the lack of basic courtesy and the don't care attitude that most of the servers and especially the managers display. This is not a top grade restaurant, so I don't expect fine dining if I go to Dennys, but I do expect reasonable service, and a cheerful attitude in any service industry. If you want a mountain of starch and non-nutitional food in an ambience of surly employees, then this is certainly the place to visit!

Good food Excellent Service. I really appreciate the greeting when I walk in the door after a busy day or when I go for my early Sunday morning breakfast.<br/><br/>It is amazing that for a reasonable price you not only have a good menu selection to choose from but the service is better than a number of more pricey restaurants in the lower mainland. The endless cup of Arabica coffee, a morning newspaper, no annoying sports-bar TV's and a comfortable place for a conversation with a friend makes it for me.

Great Breakfasts. Myself and friends meet at Denny's on a regular basis. Food is well priced, always good, service is excellent though a little flustered at times. Value for money? B+<br/>Great place for a breakfast and clean

Can't believe I put "I like it" for Dennys. Wow. Anyway the real treat at this location is the late night service. Extremely friendly, prompt, and awesome. I have become a regular here an believe me, it's not for the food. Or the prices.
