Review Montana's - North Bay

Great food, good beer, good service; the trifecta. I really enjoyed my meal here, and I will be back. I should mention I came for an early dinner but there was only one guy working tables and the bar, taking orders, serving, doing everything but cooking (I hope). Bit of a wait for stuff, but was completely fine with me.

Really great gastro style pub. Great beer on tap, burgers are phenomenal, especially the bison one. Wait staff was very nice, and the prices were very good for the food we ate. Great spot for a nice dinner, laid back vibe, and nice atmosphere.

I come here often for the live music and always have a good time. Food's good, mixed drinks are great, but my visit last Friday showed that some extra staff training is required. When I informed my server that I was the designated driver and asked what she would recommend for me to drink, I was directed to the mixed drinks menu (that "only had 2% liquor"), the craft beer selection, and the wine list... my friends and I actually couldn't believe it. I ended up just drinking water all night. Please please do some extra training because this is a really bad look, and you're going to end up with a DD who ends up thinking if their server is recommending it it must be ok.

This is a hidden Gem. We had a date night here and all I have to say is wow.excellent service and the fish and chips are amazing. We started off with the mountain of nachos. The waitress was excellent and prompt. My new goto in northbay.

Must try the spinach dip, amazing its not your ordinary run of the mill type. . Comes with homemade tortilla chips and miniature garlic buns 😋 ..so good.

Didnt expereince the entirety of what was available. For my first time the scene is welcoming with good music and timely service. I'd recommend checking it out

Very unique place...old century home converted to restaurant... food and service were fantastic...very good meal..

I have been a patron of the Raven and Republic for years and I am absolutely MORTIFIED with the service tonight. My friend booked the dining room for our group of 10 to try it out and I raved about how good the menu and service was. She booked a week ago, let the restaurant know we had to leave for another event by 7 PM (our reservation was at 5:30). We got there, found out half the menu was unavailable due to lack of required ingredients. We were fine with this and ordered around this even though it was inconvenient. 7 PM rolls around and I had only received my appetizer and everyone else was working on their mains. The server did not enter my main and we had to leave. I was compensated for the main and we paid for my appetizer. They told me that they would make me my main and send it with another person from our group and I left. Turns out, they never even started my main and did not give anything to the other group member to bring to me at our other event. We ended up being late to our other event despite warning staff what time we had to leave. Basically, I didn’t get to eat an actual meal before attending the event we were celebrating. The restaurant was under staffed and I was told by the “manager” that they weren’t even supposed to open tonight. Why not call and let us know? Maybe they could have offered us a reduction on our bill for the terrible service. Many of those in our group tonight were first timers for the raven and republic. They will not be returning, nor will I. I would like the owner or general manager to contact me ASAP to rectify this situation. Many of us worked in customer service and the person who booked actually works in the restaurant industry. We don’t have unreal expectations but know that this was not how to treat paying customers. Worst service I’ve ever received.
