Was visiting in town and went on a double date with friends and had the AYCE sushi at JT. It is your standard AYCE sushi place. The quality is good, nothing amazing, but good for AYCE. The selection was good, typical sushi items with a few Thai options. I was surprised how fast the rolls came out after we ordered, but the fast service ended there. Everything else took pretty long, not horrible, but could have been better. The staff weren't overly attentive and there was a bit of a language barrier (surprisingly) but I guess that makes it more authentic?... Anyways, overall I enjoyed my experience at JT and would recommend it if you want AYCE sushi in NB. Check it out.
Great all you can eat spot, quick service.
in and out in 25 min full of great tasting sushi. Order the golden dragon roll and remember not to order too much!
Expect inconsistency. The food is good...it is sushi in North Bay after all. The service is consistently inconsistent. We have had dinners where everything was delivered quickly, correctly and at a nice pace. We have had other nights where it would have been easier to fly to Japan and get sushi there. Go with patience and you'll be okay.
I went to JT sushi last night with a friend. Honestly, the food is wonderful, I can't wait to go back, although, it is a tad pricy. I enjoyed everything that I ordered, and the staff is very helpful at telling you what a dish entails. Overall, two thumbs up !
Amazing sushi - my favorite restaurant in North Bay
Good All You Can Eat. This is a good option for All You Can Eat Sushi... I'm so glad North Bay has this option.. YAY! Something other than BIG BOX Franchises in town! In response to the reviews from people angry that they were being charged for sitting there and eating nothing... It's ALL YOU CAN EAT! It's like going to the Mandarin and saying you just want to sit there. They charge you by head count, not by food consumed. I've never had a problem with the staff. Sure, they aren't warm and fuzzy, but this is typical for AYCE spots. The food is good. One of the VERY FEW restaurants in NB that isn't dumbed down for the bland Canadian palate. I'll be returning.. Great spot! Good food! Decent prices.
I'm Starting to Wonder. Do they really want us to have all we can eat. I always feel guilty and don't over do it. I tip very well and want service. I get this at JT's but there is something wrong I find with all these sushi places - they don't want you, just your money. Sorry to hear about those who have to pay even for visiting. Maybe a cultural differnce and they don't know that we are mostly good descent people. Maybe they come from places where trust is lacking and the only honour left faded away with the Sumarai and Kamikaze's.
Jt sushi. I don't like sushi nor do my kids, but if you go and order the bento box ( 7.95 ( lunch)
12.95 for supper you get a variety of items. they don't promote the other menu, but it is available, unless you want all you can eat .
i find the food very good and fresh as far as the servce tiffany is my favourite, these servers do not get paid very well and before you judge its not that there not friendly but very shy and most do not speak english and have a hard time understanding
i gave a little xmas gift too one of the girls, and it was very appreciated
be kind and you will get double in return
tip well ( they do share there tips) YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY
Great choice if you have lots of time. I went here for the first time this weekend, and tried all sorts of new things including BBQ squid, gold dragon rolls and much more. You could tell the food was all prepared fresh. The only downside is that the servers only come around so often. So drinks remain empty, along with stomachs, and plates start to take up room. That aside, I recommend this to an adventurous people looking to try new things.
Favorite restaurant in North Bay!. Never had a problem with service. There is the occational missed order or a random dish shows up that you didn't order, but to me it makes it interesting. It's all you can eat, so who cares if they forget a part of your order. I honestly go to JT at least twice every time I'm visiting North Bay. I love Sushi Island too, but JT has better parking :-)
It is an average place for sushi AYCE. Their avocado is really good quality. I love the cute robot, without the robot will be a 4 star place.
Absolutely delicious. This place has a great variety of foods and they even have robot servers! You can choose all you can eat or à la carte.
LOVE THIS SPOT. We did the all you can eat and were left completely satisfied. The salmon was fresh, tasty and just fell apart in your mouth. The rolls were good and their little ribs were delicious!!! They even got the server robots and honestly it's just the cutest addition.
Our waiter was super friendly and funny as well and made the whole experience enjoyable.
Their dinner is a bit pricey (our bill was about $130 for 2 adults all-you-can-eat, 3 beers & tip) so I would say go for lunch time during the week if your on a budget.
Honestly though love this local sushi spot & can't wait to go again :) (forgot to take pictures, was lost in the moment)
Been regular customer, before and during pandemic (take out). Finally able to visit the restaurant again two weeks ago and dine in together with family for their all you can eat. The foods are good and consistently well as always. The only difference is the price, didn't expect the price increased that high.
I will return, but not for the all you can eat.
