Review The Sub Place - North Bay

I've been in North Bay for 2.5 years and their gyro is the best thing I've eaten, anywhere, ever. I don't even care for lamb much. It tastes so good. What I get is mild, extra extra sauce and extra extra extra black olives. I take it home and put it in the oven at 350 for 12 minutes, on a pan with holes in it. It makes the shell firm and crispy. It's massive, it's heavier than any fast food burger. The amount of meat in it is super hefty, it falls out, subway can't compete. It's also relatively cheap at $9.50. When people say they're visiting the city I recommend the trails and this gyro. The spicey gyro can be a little hot, try the mild first. It surprises me that something so simple I find better than any fast food. I like to think about what this gyro would do if sold from a food truck.

This is a classic sub shop. Great selection and fresh ingredients. Really enjoyed my sandwich and I’ll definitely stop by next time I’m in town.

Had the Gyro Pita with a fry, very reasonable prices very filling and super yummy food 10\10 will eat there again next time I'm in the bay. Staff was also very friendly and attentive. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely Terrible Don't waste your money. Only get 2 little pieces of bacon on the 12 inch club, no sauce on the gyro and the fries were barely cooked. Check the one 5 star review, the person has to get double extra sauce and triple extra olives then go home and cook it. Haha that should tell you enough about this place.

I just went there today to dine in and it was amazing customer service as they will greet you when you enter the store and coming to food it was awesome the best subs ever fully loaded. Would recommend to everyone to try there food. Overall I am very happy.

Ate at the sub place for the first time, got the gyro and onions rings. Best takeout I’ve had in a long time and you just can’t beat the prices for the quality and portions you receive!

We eat here at least once per month. If you like a good Gyros, this is the place to go. The food at The Sub Place is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place, so friendly with the guests and they always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place. We also love the Roasted Chicken Sub.

Absolutely love this place! We make a point to stop in every time we are in town. The buns are always fresh the lettuce and vegetables are always crisp. And if the delicious food isn't enough to draw you in the friendly staff should definitely do the trick! Thank you for all of your hard work guys!

Go here at least every two weeks. Chicken gyro, skin on and spices-unreal. Lamb gyro is also good, and the club sub i get often! Awesome fries here too!

If the food wasn't enough the service blew every expectation away. Me and my girlfriend have gone a few times to eat. I try to get a different item each time and everything has me saying I'll never eat something this good again. This local business has it all, with amazing customer service, friendly atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food what more could you want? If you haven't eaten here I don't just recommend you give it a try I recommend you give everything they make a try! Also my girlfriend is a vegetarian and it is one of those things that makes eating out a bit tricky at some restaurants but still a great place for her to eat also. <br/><br/>If the owner or staff ever get to read this review I'd like to say thank you for the simple things that mean so much in your customer service you all have nailed.

Amazing Gyros. If there's a better gyro place in northern Ontario, I haven't found it! This place is incredibly friendly, I am deaf but when I go in they remember my order every time, and try to make a wonderful experience for me! Their gyros are amazingly delicious, and if you haven't had one, you definitely should. They have beef and chicken, both are really delicious. Other places I've gone to, sometimes you get a medium sized gyro and you feel like you need to get two to be full... at this joint, you only need ONE gyro to feel stuffed. Overall, I rate it a 9 out of a 10.

This place is awesome. When I go by myself I often have the BBQ chicken sub, skin on, but I also love the full souvlaki dinner. As a family we get the mega meal deal with two BBQ chickens, salad and great fries/chips.
