Review Mai Thai Cuisine - Niagara Falls

This little Thai restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. It was our first time here and we didn’t know what to choose from the menu. The lovely lady who served our table was so kind and friendly. She is also owner of this restaurant. She helped us to choose the dishes and everything were freshly made and super delicious. You must try beef basil stirfry - yummy!!! and chicken cashew is tasty as well. Service was fantastic. We felt like we came to our best friends. They offer lunch special menu as well as regular menu. Also they have Date Night for couple and you pay only $50 for two people for dinner. It’s a great deal! I highly recommend this incredible restaurant. We can’t wait to come back again and try more delicious, fresh, well-priced Thai food.

Excellent tasting food with good portion sizes. Me & my family of 6 ordered a combination of rice, noodles, curry & soup and all of them were of quality. Service was fast, I liked the booth setting for a big group to sit together too. For the low price of a dish, we all were surprised how good it was.

Delicious food Tried thai tea,Martinis, rolls, chicken skewers, curry pad thai, basil fried rice, fried noodles and spicy basil sauce. Curry pad thai was really good with spicy chilli paste came with basil fried rice. That mix goes super well Chai tea was really good. For $5 it is worth it. I wish it had less ice though. Oof. Ordered curry pad thai. Looked and tasted like Alfredo sauce. I'm actually stunned.

Overall 3/5 rating. I’d really like to give this place a higher rating, but the lack of pad see ew on the menu with a poor soy sauce alternative had me wishing I had ordered something else. The staff was super friendly and the place was a nice place to eat at. If I had ordered the yellow curry, I may have given this place a 4 star rating. However, as it stands, I cannot rate it any higher. It has the makings of a decent Thai restaurant. I was just disappointed in the food choices and taste of the food compared to the many other Thai restaurants I’ve been too.

My family of 7 visited from Alabama so maybe Thai food taste different in Canada. We’re Vietnamese and love all Asian food. Came to Mai Thai for dinner & ordered pad Thai, spicy beef noodle, Thai fried rice, and chicken pho. Spicy beef noodle, Thai fried rice, and pho were at best sub-par (2/5 star). Dishes didn’t taste like other places but it was edible. The Pad Thai was extremely saucy (not edible), which is the main reason I am giving this place a one star. We love pad Thai and order it all the time in many places. The service and check-out were also very slow. I do not recommend this place.

While in Niagara Falls, ON, I stumbled upon this lovely, well-decorated restaurant on Lundy's Lane. The restaurant was closing soon as it was after 9:00 p.m. The owner, a lovely Thai lady, made us a most delicious pad Thai shrimp and chicken as well as cashew chicken. Both dishes were sumptuous, and surprisingly well-priced! Three months later, we returned as we live not to far away, and enjoyed the same meal. Consistently scrumptious, and the owner cane out to greet us! Don't miss this little gem!

It was pretty good. Service was good. Food was great. We had pad Thai and oyster sauce veg stir fry. Spring rolls we're yummy. I didn't notice they had a gluten free menu until after we ordered. Not used to seeing that option! Thank you !

Went in for takeout tonight. I have a wheat allergy. The waitress took the time to recommend a few items from the gluten free menu when I asked if she could. I decided on panang curry with chicken. It is amazing!!! So delicious. And the service was great as well! I am supposed to take some for work tomorrow and I want to eat it all right now �

We have two different orders when we eat at Mai Thai every other week. It always involves a Mai Thai platter and Pho! We love the food and service!

The best place to Have Thai food. Fantastic flavor and great prices , a combination that I have not seen before. I am a regular fo both lunch and dinner... you will not be disappointed.

A bit of a hike down Lundy Lane to the 8000 block but they do deliver and it's worth the trip! Decent craft brew on tap too

Delicious food and extremely quick and friendly .

Great Thai food, great ambience and quite peaceful, i think that's because it is away from the downtown core. We tried the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai, Red curry chicken which comes with a side old rice and the mixed Platter (includes two stays-one each of chicken and beef, four rice wraps filled with pepper carrot and cabbage, two crab and cream cheese wantons and four small spring rolls). This was served with a sweet chilly dip and peanut sauce. But you could give this a miss.. Not all that great. But do try the Pad Thai, its really good and good portions .. If you ask for it, they'll give you add ons - Peanuts, fried garlic and chilly oil.. Service was good so was the food.

We had the spicy eggplant stir fry with chicken and bbq sauce ribs. Very tasty and fresh, except the chicken which had a bit of stale taste.

Wow! Great food for all my finicky eaters-GF,vegetarian, vegan. The menu has more specialty items than it does regular! We found it purely by accident. Take the red wego almost to the end of the line. It is well worth the trip!!!!

Great place for lunch. From 11 am - 3pm there are lunch specials starting at $7.99 (+$2 if you want a drink and a spring roll. Also has a huge gluten free menu. Best Thai food in Niagara.

Randomly picked this restaurant. We came on a Sunday afternoon, saw on trip advisory about this "other" restaurant that was near by but they were full with a 30mins wait and unresponsive staff, so we walked out and saw this restaurant "MAI THAI". We came just in time before they were also swamped too but being busy & only one wait staff, she was wonderful, very patient and attentive. The washrooms are spotless, restaurant is clean the food is fantastic. Lunch portions were a bit small but overall the food is good. Very authentic. I would recommend this place and would come again.

Great restaurant food is consistent. This place is known for their delicious and tasty Pad Thai noodles and they absolutely fulfill that reputation. Service is good and atmosphere is cozy. Over all good stuff :)

Wow. This is my new favorite restaurant. I wanted to write this bc unlike other places I like to eat, this one ticked every single box. Food- 10/10, hot, delicious , served in minutes. Service- so friendly and welcoming! Talked to us about the different foods and exotic fruits they use. Decor/ambiance- wow! Music set the tone classy jazz/buble feel. Lighting set just slightly dim- such a comfortable setting. Beautiful inside, comfortable private seating. Gorgeous. We had mango salad (holy coconut, peanut), pad Thai (measures up to the best I've had), cashew chicken (my bf devoured it in about 3 min flat), and omg to top it off mango sticky rice with coconut sauce. Can't even explain that one. Huge servings. Just go! I'll be back soon :)

Nice atmosphere, but food wasn't what I expected given the good reviews. Portion size was small. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. There were only 2 shrimp and a few small shreds of chicken. Could have been an off night, will try one more time.

Amazing curry had it last night and ordered delivery for lunch today. The green chicken curry is so creamy and good and a great value for the size of portion.

It was a good restaurant... what happened?. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over 3 years. Service has been good, food has been good.<br/><br/>The last 2 visits I must say I was quite disappointed. The last time we were there, the service was pretty bad; all the servers were quite attentive to the large table and overlooked the smaller tables.<br/><br/>Tonight, the service was sub-par, along with the food. My Pad Thai was was about room temperature, and my sprouts were cold. My wife's Cashew Chicken was barely above room temperature and her peppers were all under cooked. The servers didn't come and ask how it was, we both left half a plate of food. The server then came and dropped the to-go containers on our table for us to package our own food up.<br/><br/>This was our date night restaurant... now it looks like we will have to find a new place to dine.

Really enjoyed a double date few weeks back. Ordered many dishes and pleased with it all. Fresh spring rolls were kind of sticky and mushy but beef was great. Mango rice was yummy and have since gone back for dinner and loved the coconut soup even if the servers couldn't identify all the ingredients. Will go again! Great service.

From the outside, you wouldn't suspect the taste sensations these guys put out. My first time and I will get them to boost the spices up a bit but that is better than to hot for Canadian tastes.<br/>Large potions and low prices make this a repeat for me!

Mai Thai Cuisine...so disappointing!. We went to this little hole in the wall, mostly because of all the good reviews it received, and we were so disappointed! The food managed to be both spicy and completely bland. We had the soysauce noodles with seafood, and unlike this dish in many other places, this had no flavor....except a lot of salt. The spicy eggplant was slightly better, with rich flavor, and buttery eggplant but also much too salty, and the shrimp stir fry with basil and lemon grass had none of those usually enticing flavors...it was uninteresting and bland. Service was good, and friendly, but a little slow. Overall, it was a bit of a letdown.

Found Mai Thai using urban spoon ever glad we did! Wow very vegan friendly and huge portions - tofu with chili sauce app and spring rolls - delicious!!! Red curry with tofu and soy sauce noodles with tofu - excellent we will be back!

Not as expected. After reading all the great reviews about this place I had to try it. I ordered the free fresh rolls and cashew chicken to go. Two of my favorite Thai dishes. I was very disappointed. The fresh roles, although huge, we're stuffed with nothing but rice vermicelli and cilantro (too much in fact). There were no vegetables in it at all. As for the cashew chicken the vegetables were overdone and there were just a few cashews. The sauce was watery and not very tasty! I would hardly call this the best Thai food!

Fabulous food, wonderful people!. We have been regulars at this wonderful restaurant for months. Once a week we go here and we have had almost everything on the menu, it is all great! Calamari, the curries, cashew chicken, glass noodle salad, mango salad....the menu has great options! Mama is cooking in the kitchen along with her daughter, it is a family run restaurant and could NOT be any better!!!<br/>We have brought lots of people there and they have all loved it!!! Recommend it tremendously!!!!!

Best thai in Niagara. We ordered take-out food from Mai Thai and, as an avid Thai lover, can attest that this is the best Thai in Niagara Falls. All the ingredients were fresh which was cartainly a HUGE plus (especially with the mango chicken). The only negative was that some of the dishes had premade sauces and we were unable to order one beef dish without mushrooms. The food was hot and ready for pick-up and I would highly recommend it.

Wow!! We were looking for a new Thai food restaurant and this is definitely going to be it!! Great, tasty, fresh food and the staff was very friendly. I had cashew chicken and my husband had Pad Thai. Both were served with great, colorful presentation and were delicious and filling. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant !! Loved it :). The pad thai is awesome. Also tried the spicy noodles and cashew chicken which are both great. Th spring rolls are really fresh and have a yummy spicy sauce. Green curry is amazing! Full of flavour. Cute, interesting decor. The portions differ a bit depending on the day. Super nice and friendly staff.

Fabulous Thae Cuisine in Niagra Falls, Ontario. My husband and I just ate a fabulous meal at Mai Thai. We had Mango Salad, Stir Fried Chicken with Mango and Green Curry with beef. All of these dishes were outstanding. We had Mango and Sticky Rice for dessert. It was the best we had ever eaten. We would highly recommend Mai Thai to everyone who enjoys outstanding Thai Cuisine. The next time we are in Ontario, you will definitely find us eating at Mai Thai. Thanks for the great food!

The most wonderful food I have ever tasted.. My brother and I found this restaurant while staying on Lundy's Lane. Both he and I have been to many countries in the world. This restaurant is OUTSTANDING. The flavors are wonderful, and the mutli-layered flavors make the meal. We stayed 9 days, and ate there 4 times. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. Between the two of us, tasting each dish we never found one that wasn't wonderful. From appetizer, to dessert this is a epicurical treat for all the senses.

Great family owned restaurant with authentic Thai dishes as well as the regular favorites. The Pad Thai is excellent, great portion sizes... The cashew chicken is also a favorite :)

Delicious curry, decadent dessert, great prices!!. My boyfriend and I located this gem of a restaurant using Urban Spoon while on a weekend getaway in Niagara Falls, ON. We were in search of authentic Thai cuisine and this place did not disappoint!! <br/><br/>I chose the Red Curry (no meat-medium heat) with Jasmine rice and extra vegetables and it was incredible! The heat was just right for my taste and the vegetables (green beans and bamboo) were perfectly tender crisp. My boyfriend had the cashew chicken and was very pleased with his selection as well. <br/><br/>Although we were both completely full from the generous portions of our excellent entrees, we simply couldn't pass up dessert when we saw the description of the Crepes - crepe, banana, Nutella (yes, that's right), chocolate sauce, ice cream, cookie crumbles. It was sheer decadence and is an absolute MUST if you choose to dine here!!<br/><br/>The restaurant itself along with the bar are very clean and modern in design, minimalistic yet very cozy. It is a family owned/operated establishment and the staff were very warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable of their cuisine!! Loved Mia Thai and look forward to my next trip to Niagara where I will be sure to visit again!!
