Fantastic breakfast. We really enjoyed it. Really caring staff, very much homemade high quality. The portions are so generous. We truly enjoyed it and will be back surely!

Amazing food. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Food was amazing! The egg’s Benedict was huge and the McMuffin bread was so soft. I got a side of mushrooms and the mushrooms were huge and juicy! The food was flavourful and the potatoes were truly one of a kind! I have never liked any of the potatoes at every other breakfast place I’ve been to, but this was the only place that has changed my mind about potatoes. I also tried the blueberry pancakes as well and they were good. The service was amazing, they kept coming over to refill our coffee. I’m also from Toronto and this has been one of the best places that I will keep coming back to. Definitely better than a lot of Toronto brunch spots!

ENORMOUS portions, great price (served a family of four for ~$60, and we overordered). Great friendly staff - serious family - and personable. Henry's a GREAT cook, and comes out to say hi. Pro Tip: sit at the table under the A/C. It's not BAD hot, but it's all just one small room, so the A/C can struggle. (Eminently worth it even at five degrees hotter :) ) Go. Seriously. Tell them the 'Father, Son & Holy S*** guy sent you and watch Dena laugh.

Wonderful omelet! Tomato served as a side was RIPE and tasty, not hard and too young. Server and cook were lovely to talk with. Excellent non-fast food meal!

Bring your appetite, the portions are huge and delicious. Excellent service. Small and cozy breakfast/lunch restaurant. Go early and get a table, you won't regret it.

This restaurant by far is the best restaraunt in Niagara Falls. Was there many years ago. Owners were very welcoming, food was plentiful and absolutely tasty! Highly recommend!!

Loved, Loved this place! It's a small local breakfast nook run by a couple - Dena & Harry. They cook the food themselves and its worth the wait.. It's a tiny nook, packed with locals and people who really love eating food that tastes like home. We had to wait a bit for an empty table but the breakfast made up for the wait time. We had the specials for the day - Farmer's sausage & eggs, Big Breakfast and small version of the same for the kid. Portion sizes are very good and the price is even better. Coffee is refilled regularly by the server. Overall loved the home cooked breakfast. Didn't miss home one bit. Will definitely drop by next time we are in Niagara. Do try!

Great place. Amazing service and food. Don't think twice about it. Go and enjoy the food. Loved it. Came here based on other reviews. Lots of
Locals eating here. Always a good sign.

My boyfriend and I were striving after taking a long flight to get to Tornto and then drive to Niagara Falls. We found this family owned restaurant online and it was the best decision, we ordered the gyro wrap and steak sandiwch. The prices are condoreably cheap since they include sides and the plates are enormous. Friendly staff!

Best breakfast every single time we go! It's my husbands and my favorite little nook. The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly and kind

My boyfriend and I were in Niagara Falls and looking for a place for breakfast. When I saw the reviews for Dena's Home Cooking, we thought we found the perfect place for breakfast. When we arrived the place looked closed, as I was looking for a new place we saw people starting to arrive. We went in, we were seated right away, I started to look around and notice a couple of roach hotels on the floor one behind my boyfriend and the other behind me. We thought we would give it a try. I had the blueberry pancakes and my boyfriend had the Peameal Bacon with a side of mushrooms. The Pancakes were so dry that no amount of syrup could moisten them. They tasted like they had been made earlier, frozen then reheated. My boyfriend breakfast peameal bacon was partial raw eggs over salted, mushrooms were cold and greasy. We could barely eat the food we just paid and left The only good thing I could say was that it was not to expensive.

Great food, fast service, this little gem made my morning leaving Niagara Falls. Prices are amazing for the quantity and flavor of food, ladies you outdo yourselves. I would go all the time if I lived here!!!

I very much enjoyed my breakfast here. It's a small place and family run. Dena is nice and will likely be the one taking your order. The food came out super fast and was flavourful. Some of the best home fries I've had in a long time and I love the mushrooms and tomato that come out with the meal. I had blueberry pancakes. If you aren't a big eater don't be a hero, just get the junior size. But my favorite part was the peameal. Thick cut slices. Grilled perfect so they were still tender and juicy. Overall a really good breakfast at a really good price and supporting a local business to boot.

Had a great breakfast with the family and parents today. Beware the portions are huge and most of us had to ask for the balance to be packed for take out ;) very well priced, family oriented and great great taste and value for money. A must visit for a hearty breakfast before you start you hectic day roaming the Niagara streets :)

The best of the best!!!. Our experience at dena's was one we soon won't forget! We were served promptly by dena herself. Right from the get go we felt welcomed, as if we had been regulars for years. The menu consisted of a wide variety of different pallets to fit even the pickiest kid out there! (A.k.a. my 3 year old) lots of vegetarian options (the roasted red pepper and feta omelet is to die for) as well as plates heaping with sausage, bacon, ham, back bacon for the carnivor in the family! (A.k.a my husband). Real home fries, Texas toast... even fresh tomato, fried mushrooms and fresh fruit! The coffee and tea is included in the price of your breakfast. In place like Niagara falls, where you have to pretty much re-mortgage your house to find a decent meal, dena's is a breath of fresh air. So much awesome all in one tiny restaurant, I promise you will regret not coming sooner!

Worst meal ever.... My family stopped at Dena's for lunch after reading great reviews. We pulled up and the location is not much, but we thought we had found a hidden gem. Were we ever wrong. We arrived just after 1:30, not knowing that they close at 2. We offered to leave because the woman serving us was obviously annoyed we had arrived close to closing. She told us to stay and so we started to order. My husband ordered the Hungry Man Burger, my daughter had the pierogies and I had a salad with greek dressing. We knew we were in trouble when she reached into the chest freezer at the front of the restaurant and passed Walmart frozen pierogies and fries to the kitchen. The burger was a formed patty that was so bad my husband just left it. The fries were those awful sort of breaded things. My daughter's pierogies weren't cooked through and the onions on the plate were burned and the bacon had been deep fried. My salad had a weird, thick dressing that was supposed to be greek. It was so bad I scraped it off everything. Some of the lettuce was starting to rot as well. We really wanted to like this restaurant. Maybe it's because we didn't order breakfast but it was honestly one of the worst meals we've ever had. The man doing the cooking was very pleasant but other than that the experience was awful. We will never go back again.

'Out of towners'..it's worth the stop over. Found this place through a random Google search and I am so happy I came. Nothing beats a good ol' home cooked meal and this place surely satisfies that need! The best part of it was that my meal (for 2) was $17 with tax! Can't get this quality of cooking anywhere else. Thanks to Linda, Dena, and the jolly gentleman in the kitchen for making our visit to Niagara worth the drive....

AMAZING. A great find for tourists. We all enjoyed our meals and I could not rave enough about the home cooked food which was absolutely delicious (pumpkin pancakes to die for). The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The chef walked around and said hi to everyone and you can just tell how much he loved cooking for everyone there. The people themselves is enough reason to try it out! 100% will be back the next time we are in the falls. Thank you to everyone there.

Best breakfast, in terms of quality, value and service in the Niagara Area!!!!!. Debra and I both wanted to provide some feedback on today’s breakfast meal, which was the “Wrap” at your restaurant. Both you and Harry provide the best breakfast, in terms of quality, value and service in the Niagara Area!!!!! Bar none!!!! Your wrap was delicious!! Everything that we have ordered from your menu from the standard classic breakfast to your Eggs Benedict is fantastic. We have never been disappointed!! I don’t know any other restaurant that provides mushrooms with your breakfast!!! The service is fast and exceptional and your staff is always friendly!!! Both you and Harry should be commended on the way you handle your guests and even the way you provide each person with that personal experience and touch! And to top it off there is never any shortage of coffee!!!!!!
Well done!!!!!
Gordon and Debra

Great breakfast and service. We wanted to find a classic diner away from the Clifton hill area before we left, and this place was fantastic. Huge portions, great prices and fantastic friendly service. The place is small so you may have to wait, but it is definitely worth it. Neither one of us could finish our meals, but I will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area. (The fried mushrooms for breakfast was an unexpected tasty bonus).

Always so damn good!!!!!! I love this place.

GREAT Food! Great VALUE! Great conversation!. August 2014. My family and I (Mom, Dad and two teenage boys) were visiting Niagara Falls. I wanted us to eat at a canadian restaurant. We had breakfast at Dena's. It is a cozy little eatery just 10 to 15 minutes outside the tourist area. The place was packed. The staff was warm, friendly and quite accomodating. We waited a few minutes and it was definately worth the wait. We had the best meal with more than enough food. The owner was engaging and and gave us quite a few pointers on where to go to get the best out of our trip. Thank you all at Dena's. We really appreciate your hospitality.

Loved this place! Like going home and seeing my mom! The entire staff hovered over us and were so friendly! Breaakfast was amazing! Jay had cabbage rolls and they were gone in a blink!just good ole home cooking! Highly recommend this quaint little spot!

Gr8 food, cozy atmosphere. The best home cooked meals in Niagara. Cozy little restaurant away from all the craziness in this tourist town. A family owned business, so you feel at home. The cinnamon raisin French toast is a must for breaky! Love this place.

Everyone should go here for breakfast. This place was awesome. It was on our way to wine country, and my goodness, I got the cheapest price for a plate of food so big I could barely finish it. Everything was delicious, and the staff was extremely gracious! Worth the drive!
Shawn
Top Notch.... A small quaint local diner, with excellent service. Food was just what we were looking for.

If you are looking for a delicious home cooked brunch or lunch, this is the place.

Soooooooooo good. My husband and I have been to Dena's Home Cookin' quite a few times. The food and service is always phenomenal! The food is so delicious and the portions are huge. Whenever we go for breakfast or lunch it is difficult deciding on what we want to eat because everything on the menu is soooooooo good . Dena is always welcoming and friendly to all her customers. It is like eating with family. Harry prepares the most fabulous dishes with love and care. I will mention again that the portions are out of this world! It is also nice to see that he comes out and personally greets his customers to make sure they are satisfied with their meal. If you want to have a fabulous eating experience Dena's Home Cookin' is a must!

Great Home Cooking Food!. This is a gem of a place. Awesome home cooking food with great staff. This is a mom and pop shop that is truly amazing. It's a bit of a drive outside the falls area but you won't regret it. Just gps the location and you'll get there no problem. Will come back for sure!!!
Lazyks333
Rated 200%. The diner was a bit hard to find with no Canadian map, but the hunt was well worth every minute. The food was fresh, abundant, and delicious. The waitress, as well as the owners, were friendly and welcoming. In a city of many choices, we are going back again tomorrow!

A Hidden Gem.. Seriously....Amazing in a town of inflated prices. I had Eggs Benedict, and coffee. $10!!!! I'll dream about this breakfast, it was that good

Mmmmmmm mmm. Mmmmm.. Found this place on urbanspoon when we were looking for a place to have breakfast. Had great reviews so went for it. We were not disappointed one bit! Dena's is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fast and attentive. Dena and her family were very pleasant and chatted with us. They definitely appreciate their patrons and value your business. Also, the prices are ridiculously good. For the quality of food and service you get, paying double what we did wouldn't have seemed all that unreasonable. Highly highly highly recommend.
Dana S
Found Dena's on Urban Spoon because I'm new to the Niagara region... Me and my family went one Saturday for breakfast and everything was to die for! The homefries are seasoned perfectly and the wait staff was very accommodating. We'll be back
Jennie
Had a great breakfast here today. Generous portions, amazing mushrooms (though they would not share the recipe), friendly staff.

Amazing. We we're in town with a few of the guys celebrating a couple of birthdays, saw the reviews online so we thought we'd give it a try. Called them as they were closing and they said they would stay open just for us!!

Let me tell you this place did not disappoint one bit. We ordered off their brunch menu and it was the best home cooking ever. The eggs Benedict that I had was to die for. The owner even brought us a plate of their peameal bacon to try for those of us that didn't have it in their breakfast.

The jist: prices were very reasonable, the food amazing, the staff extremely friendly - definitely coming here again next time we're in town.

Awesome place. Came for March break with the kids. didn't want to over pay for industrial franchise food like the IHOP and had enough of eating at Tim's and ending up hungry after an hour. read the
reviews and decided to give it a try. It was great. delicious food, big portions everything was delicious and tasted homemade but better than I could ever make it.
my wife had the vegetable omelet and I had the big mans breakfast. each kid had the classic breakfast and a glass of juice. everything tasted so good including the coffee and the place had all local customers who were regulars by the greetings that were going back and forth. We felt very welcomed and cozy. 2 adults and 4 kids eat and drank well (and took leftover's) for $55 after tax and a tip for the excellent service.
You have to try Dena's!

Fantastic!! Looking for a place off the beaten path for breakfast when down in Niagara Falls. This is exactly the place you want for a simple, reasonably priced breakfast. Friendly service. Food came fast. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful breakfast!!!!

New favourite breakfast place! I hate that I live in London!!! The customer service is out of this world, our waitress Charlotte was a joy! (They are lucky to have her!!) Oh right...the food...In a word, AWESOME! Super affordable and fresh...seriously...stop reading and get in the car!!! Lol

Cosy, delicious and cheap food. Finally hit this place up with the fam. It was AMAZING! :D
The chef comes to your table, really friendly nice guy. The food's delicious and flavourful. The eggplant parm is out of this world and the sauce is killer. It's a small place and cosy... if you know what I mean. Will be going back for sure!

This was a fantastic breakfast!! Everything near the falls is so expensive! For two coffees, a big breakfast wrap, side of toast, and a veggie omelette with feta the bill came to $18!! My boyfriend and I were so stuffed after that meal. The portions were big and the food tasted amazing! I'd much rather give my money to a mom and pop place than a chain place by the falls any day!

Chef Henry sat down at our table just to chat. Great food, incredibly fresh, delicious. We were left speechless.
CCG
The staff from CCG would like to compliment on the satisfaction and quality of the meals served at Denas restaurant. Being a local construction company we have concluded that Denas restaurant is our #1 breakfast choice in all of Niagara.

Delicious!! :). My parents, boyfriend and I just got back from a lovely breakfast a Dena's. We arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes before they closed, and they graciously let us in and served us absolutely delicious meals. The omelettes were massive and had large chunks of good quality meat and fresh vegetables. The home fries were fresh and flavourful, everything was wonderful and the portions were generous for a very reasonable price. We enjoyed the company of both Dena and Harry (owners),who had interesting stories to tell. Dena's has a great family atmosphere. we will most certainly be back. :)
Mt
Top notch restaurant. I got introduced to dena's restaurant through a friend and after the first visit I knew I would be a regular! The food is very reasonably priced, fresh, and you never leave hungry. Whether is breakfast, lunch or dinner you are garunteed to have great personal service, a fantastic meal at a fraction of the cost of an average restaurant!

Two thumbs up for dena's it is a restaurant like no other, check it out you will not hungry or dissatisfied :)

The food at this restaurant is what dreams are made of. Guaranteed you will not leave hungry! Everything is homemade, completely 100 percent! A rarity in any restaurant! The best place to eat in all of niagara falls. If you are going to be in the city, dena's is the place to go!

-----02 Sep, 2013-----

The owners of this establishment are some of the most hard working and genuine people I have ever met in my life. They take pride in the awesome food and business they have created. They offer a fully balanced breakfast (coffee included) for under 7 bucks a person. You won't get the quality or quantity you get at dena's anywhere, I can guarantee that! You walk in there and you feel like family when you leave (and full too boot!)
Adam
Best breakfast I have had in my life. My girlfriend and I stopped by and tried out Dena's for the first time. We were impressed with the affordable prices and surprisingly large portions. Every staff member we're extremely polite and made sure we were well taken care of. This is a gem in Niagara. If you are looking for a good place to stop by for breakfast with great service and homestyle cooking. Dena's is the place for you. You will keep on coming back for more. We sure will!

My husband and I looked this place up on urban spoon and saw the great rating so we went to try it out. We were massively impressed not only with the value for money but the hospitality was 110%. This puts this place above the rest. The food was amazing and the owner himself came out to greet us. Would definitely come back here for sure. Thank you - harry and Kerensa soteriou Australia.

Great meal. Good price. Excellent service. Wonderful people. My family of 6 arrived close to closing and a 'regular' customer moved tables to accommodate us. We were given a free salad and garlic bread. We chatted with the owner who is a Greek, Australian and a very friendly person. We had a wonderful experience.

Fresh Ingredients!. Best breakfast I ever had at a restaurant! We were a party of four and all meals came at the same time. Loved the cooked mushrooms and tomato on the side. Home fries were restaurant made and deliciously seasoned. Coffee was hot! Thank you. We'll be back.

Delicious!. Smallest secret in Niagara!

Wonderful owners, fabulous fresh food. Super cheap prices.

Had chicken parm. Huge 2 pieces of breaded chicken, great tomato sauce, with plenty of it over chicken and angel hair pasta. Lots of parm and mozzarella on top. It was so good I ate it all! But could've taken some of it home.

Served with a starter salad with great free greens, lotsa deep red tomatoes, cucumbers and a house Greek style dressing that I was ready to lick the bowl over!

Yummy garlic bread too!

Too full for dessert, but heard about some pretty good pies!

Two of us ate, and ate well, for dinner, with full entrees for $23.

Owners love to come and sit with you, chat, make sure everything is great. Wonderful people!

I will be back many times!

Cant rave about it enough! Not fine dining, but better food than I have had in places charging 3-5 times as much!
Hungrywoman
Dena's breakfast, the portions are perfect and the food is delicious! Service is awesome! I had pemeal bacon with sunny side up eggs and home fries and two slices of white toast. Husband had mushroom and ham omelette with Cheese, home fries and brown toast. The omelette was stuffed that it conquered my hubby.

Very good breakfast and a great bargain

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Always feel welcome and service is amazing. You wont find a better place for quality and quantity vs. price. I would give Dena's a 5star rating!!

Terrible. Quick and unpleasant experience here. We love little diners and noticed Dena's yesterday. Thought it might be a hidden jewel and were looking forward to trying out a new breakfast spot. Only one table available in the centre of the room, so my daughter and I took a chair. The server arrived and asked if anyone would be joining us (four seats at the table), "no, just the two of us!") She then curtly informed us that we would need to move from the table and instructed us to take a seat at a two seat table located in a dark hallway, beside the cooler and pushed up against a wall outside the body of the dining area. This was clearly the path to the washrooms. We explained that we did not want to sit in the hallway (after all, we were already seated at an acceptable table and ready to order). The server flat out would not allow us to remain at the table and informed us we could stand and wait for another table. I understand turning over tables - I have worked in the industry for many years, but to be asked to stand and wait while a table sits vacant is simply stunning. We took our business elsewhere. Greed. Flat out greed - they would treat a party of two this way in hopes of selling two more plates at the vacant table. Not a good way to welcome new business. I won't be back and I will be certain to inform friends about the shoddy treatment we received.

Wow!!!!!. Came in for the first time for breakfast after hearing a lot of good things about Dena's. I was very pleased! Portions were huge, I just barely cleared my plate. A lot of extras with the plate, including grilled tomato, mushrooms and perfectly seasoned homefries. Great service, friendly staff and chef. I am definitely a new regular

Yum, just yum!. Our family of four drove from Hamilton to Niagara for the night and found Dena's on Trip Advisor. We arrived at 7:20pm not realizing they closed at 7pm. Harry the owner was in the parking lot saying goodbye to some customers and waved us in saying he was the head chef and would take care of us. Boy, did they ever. Dena, Harry and Brenda treated us to the best dinner and hospitality we could have imagined. The food was super delicious, all made with fresh, home cooked ingredients, served lightening quick. The value for the money is unmatched. We were so blown away, we came back the next morning for breakfast and were not disappointed. For dinner we had the Fish and Chips, Great Canadian Burger (mammoth and mouthwatering), pasta with marinara sauce. Breakfast was Greek Omelet, Big Breakfast and Blueberry Pancakes. The portion sizes are extremely generous and there are great additions such as sauteed whole mushrooms, tomato and onions alongside the real potato homefries. We are only 45 minutes away so we will be back often - totally worth the drive! Everything we had was delicious and Harry even sat down to visit between the endless stream of regulars. This is a small restaurant, but turnover is quick and they do not make you feel rushed. They were so kind to our kids and even slipped my son a plate of bacon to go with his pasta because he heard him ask it if was on the dinner menu. A true Jewel of a retaurant.

True Home Cooking. I just had the most amazing fish & chips at Dena's for lunch. The batter was light and the fish was excellent. If you want to go where us locals go to eat without the high price of the tourist traps, this is your place. The staff are extremely friendly and the owners always come to your table to ensure you enjoyed your meal. I have also been for breakfats and this is the place for the morning after the night before!! Hat's Off

A Great Find. We go out of our way to find interesting restaurants that are not part of a chain which is why we use Urban Spoon so often, especially when traveling. With only 3 "Likes" and no reviews, we didn't have much to go on for Dena's but we were so glad we gave this quaint restaurant a try on a Saturday morning. It is small, maybe 10 tables or so but we sat right down and were greeted by our friendly waitress. We ordered two omeletes, the Greek and one with ham, cheese etc. Both were so chock full with fresh ingredients that they tumbled onto the plate when we cut into the eggs. On the side was one-half of a large grilled tomatoe that tasted fresh and was an unusual treat. Also, there was toast and lots of potatos. They were also served very quickly and piping hot. There was plenty of offers for coffee refills for my friend.

The chef/owner came to greet each table and check on our food. We shared with him that we found them on Urban Spoon. He was not familiar with it but said he had no trouble filling his tables. No surprise there.

My only disappointment was that they only served canned ice tea but I admit that I am a tea snob and prefer the brewed variety so I declined the can and drank water. The waitress far made up for it by offering to fill my large water bottle with ice water which was sitting on my table in preperation for our bike ride. I think the canned/bottled tea might be a Canadian (or at least Niagara area) thing, as I found no other brewed ice tea offered the rest of our trip. Oh well, I'll come back to Canada (from the states) anyway and certainly to Dena's if we are in the area again.
