Review Sushi Garden Japanese Restaurant - Newmarket

Dropped in for all you can eat. Very fresh, great tasting and unique rolls. Would highly recommend.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I honestly have no idea what happened to this place, but it is absolute garbage now. If you enjoy the presentation part of sushi, this is definitely not the place to go. The quality of the food was very low. I ordered three meat options and they bring all three thrown together on the same plate with the same sauce poured all over it. We ended up paying $74 for 2 all you can eat and left after ordering a small amount of food. For that price. They have no pride in the food being served. And to top it off, there was no air conditioning. If you want quality food and service, just go to Cynthia’s.

Number 1 restaurant for charging the most amount of money for the lowest quantity of food. I ordered one dynamite sushi for $8.99!!! Thinking it's gonna be 6 pieces at least. But no it was 4 pieces. Who charges 9 dollars for 4 pieces of sushi. The sushi was supposed to have shrimp in it and they put so little shrimp in there that all you taste is the rice and the sauce. Never ordering from here again.

Had the worst dining in experience. My husband and I came in with 2 kids who were hungry and so we chose to do all you can eat as experience shows its the quickest service. Ordered within first minute of arriving. Did not worry at first since we were the only customers in the restaurant. The food started to come in 40 minutes later, and only hot food that we cannot even give to the kids. During this time, myself and the kids were wondering around since no-one offered us anything to keep the kids busy. When I touched a fake Dollarama flower in a vase, a tall Asian guy AGGRESSIVELY yelled at me "DO NOT TOUCH!" We continued waiting, but at this point I wasn't hungry anymore. 55 minutes later we still did not have the small 1st order that my husband made, I did not make my order at all occupying the kids and no-one giving us the menu. Plates were not served long after the food came and the floor was really dirty with food under our table considering we are the only customers. We had to get up and leave and take out food that was brought, however we were still charged for 2 All- you- can- eat even though this was nothing of the experience nor the order. The food was terrible and we had to drive through to order elsewhere. Would never wish upon any mother/father this type of service.

Been looking for great tasting sushi in Newmarket and this has been a great find! Sushi is fresh, tasty and well priced. The soy sauce they provide needs to be improved but overall a satisfying experience.

FOOD POISINING!!!! Went here for the first time. Only went because our regular spots were closed. Anyways we got our meal and immediately the food tasted alittle off but didn't think anything of it. About an hour later myself and my girlfriend were feeling nauseous. Next thing we know we are both sick throwing up. This was the only meal we both ate together today and almost immediately after eating here we both felt unwell. I have never gotten sick from sushi and has been many years since I've had food poisining. I don't even want to imagine what made this food spoil or the uncleanliness of the restaurant. Besides the food poisining this place was more expensive and smaller quantities. Will never be going back here again. Save yourself and go elsewhere. DO NOT RECCOMEND

Great Portions and food! We couldn't eat it all. Owner came out and talked to us. The chef also was visible to seem him prepare. Very clean and courteous.

The all you can eat food is a joke there. Do not go there. The hot food that was ordered was microwaved and seem to be from last night's left over. The place is so dirty with dirty dishes stacked on tables. The sushi quality was very poor. Take this from an Asian man that eats alot of sushi

We called to make a reservation, however it seems that Thursday's are not too busy. We were seated immediately after entering the restaurant by a very pleasant waitress. Three of us ordered from the Teppanyaki menu and my husband ordered from the Sushi menu. The drinks, salads and soups arrived quickly and I must say that we all enjoyed the dressing on the green salad. The Miso soup arrived steaming and flavored perfectly. The boys loved the sushi, making comments like "so much better than AYCE" and "excellent red tuna". We then sat back and watched the show. From the freshly prepared fried rice, seared salmon, shrimp and scallops and the sauteed vegetables, we were entertained. Our chef took the time to season the courses perfectly and wait for our reaction to each dish. If your looking for something a bit different in Newmarket, I would highly recommend trying out Sushi Garden. Be sure to make reservations if coming on a weekend. Tips: the table can hold 12 people, so it makes a perfect group outing.

The food is so delicious. Cooking table was really good. I lived in Japan for awhile before and the food here reminds me of Japan so so much!! Service are super!
