Review Philthy Philly's - Newmarket

I would give this a negative rating if I could. I remember when the Davis location opened, the food was incredible and the portions were huge, even if the price was on the higher end, I was willing to pay it. However, today I ordered 30 dollars worth of food and I got the soggy, tiny mess you see in the photos I took. The buns were soggy and it genuinely looks like the sandwiches were thrown into the foil and tossed into a bag. Not to mention they were stone cold. I could literally count the pieces of lettuce and other toppings. The service was atrocious and its very clear that the teenagers working there are doing so without any supervision. The restaurant is filthy( no pun intended) and when I called to ask why the sandwiches were in such a state I was told that the portion sizes went down but prices have went up. As a restaurant owner myself I am appalled at the experience with the Davis location, sacrificing quantity and quality, but still raising prices and the employees admit it willingly, it's amazing they still have business. Don't ever get food from here, it's not worth the cost and the taste is mediocre at best. I will be telling anybody who asks me, to never step foot in this establishment.... ever.

Used to be my go to cheesesteak sandwich spot but their customer service has been disappointing due to their unpleasant demeanour. Seeing their unkept hair was also off putting when watching them make the food. The prices have gone up while the quality and quantity have gone down. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this location.

We love Philthy Philly's Cheesesteak and Poutinerie, and order from only this store (on 56 Davis Drive) regularly for the past two years since I first tried it, and moved within the area! The best-quality halal steak sandwiches and poutine in Canada can be found here. Crystal and Madison went above and beyond with our order and are always so kind, and helpful. Our Uber Eats order was misplaced by the driver, and we got a call from Philthy Philly's letting us know that they would make us new fresh ones, and they also gave us free onion rings, poutine, and drinks to accommodate which was more than enough! The onion rings were amazing as well, and everything is always consistently delicious, and I never had anything to complain about ever. I can eat this food any day, anytime, it is really that good, I always go with the Philthy size cheesesteak! I want to thank Crystal, and Madison again as they did a huge act of kindness that will not be forgotten. We will always order from Philthy Philly's, and highly recommend it to others! Thank you to Philthy Philly's as well for offering halal, and vegetarian food options to the public, having great employees, and making one of the best foods I've ever eaten!

Delicious Cheesesteak! But not full after a $13 plus tax meal. So get ready to spend $16+ if you trying to be full for lunch or dinner. Will come again but not often.

Normally I love this place but I tried to order over Google maps and wow first they gave me just the Poutine from my order then when I went back in they gave me the wrong 2 sandwiches. Think they need a better system

I had Madison assist me today she had great customer service she was very nice and took my order and made my order just watching her skils in the kitchen is really impressive. This place has great customer service, staff would properly wear gloves. Clean restaurant. Great portions.

I tried their $5 deal. It was a very small and just didn’t looks proper. In the picture you will see I put a small cracker for size reference.I was disappointed with the sandwich and don’t think I’ll be coming back

Uber driver delivered half of our order. Called filthy phillys to tell them that we didn't get the entire order. They immediately offered a free pick up of the same order. Went there and NOT only they gave me the remaining of my order for free but: Upgraded my poutine's size. Gave me extra gravy. Gave me a delicious chocolate slice. Mind you guys, when this happens; it is not the restaurant's problem given that they handed over the food to the driver, usually a restaurant would tell you, call uber and solve this with them, instead the team at Newmarket's philty filly did this lovely gesture and for sure retained us as customers! Dany and Steven! You guys are awesome with outstanding customer service! Thank you!

Being from Montreal , I have had my fair share if good poutines . I will openly admit that I was skeptical on finding a good poutine outside of Quebec . Wow was I in for a surprise . This was without a doubt one of the best poutines I've ever had in my life. The owner and his staff were just as awesome as their food. If you are ever passing through or live in the neighbourhood , do not pass this place by. I shall return !!!!! Hoping he comes to Montreal !!

This place rocks my world & lives in my dreams. This is the kind of stuff god eats. I would sell all of my limbs if this place was going out of buisness, which is highly unlikely with the off the chain deliciousness they have going on. I dont live around here & always beg to go when i'm in town. I give 10 stars & an enthusiastic high five.

We eat at Philthy Philly's Whitby and we love the poutine menu. We really liked the perogie poutine but found out it was a limited special at Whitby and no longer offered. Any way it could be added to the menu? Or maybe allow each store to have a special item unique to that store? Just a suggestion - either way it's a great restaurant!

Finally I place that u can't wait to eat at again everything is sooooo damn good

I'm a poutine snob. Raised in Quebec city so I've have some of the better ones. This is the best poutine in Mississauga. Hands down. Miles ahead of smoke's poutine. Or poutini.

Great cheesesteak sandwich. Real sliced steak and great selection of toppings. Price was reasonable as well.

Tried Philthy Philly's for the first time today and I had such a positive experience! So hospitable and the food was amazing as well! Im pretty set in my ways about poutine and they hit the spot. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be back. very excited about when they start delivery :)

Ate here yesterday on a whim...so good! Food was hot and so flavourful. Sweet Memphis pulled pork sandwich and Big Easy philly sandwich with fries to share. We were stuffed! Will be back if in that neck of the woods again:)

It really is soooooo dam good. Very prime meat from the location I'm from. 4 star only because I haven't tried everything

Philthy Phillys is awesome! By far my favourite poutine place yet! Can't wait to go again even though I have been many many times!

Amazingly awesome! Very friendly staff. I got the Mexican Poutine it was full of cheesy beefy goodness. Highly recommended. Next time I would like to try the meat eater poutine.

Delivery. Would be awesome if you guys had delivery. For people who don't drive, it would be a life savour so we could enjoy the GREAT food.

AMAZING!. I was driving through Newmarket and love poutine so my friend and we saw that there was a new poutinerie and well who doesnt love poutine and decided to try it out. Not only is the food to die for, but the staff is incredibly nice and so sweet. Today was my first time there, but definitely not my last. I am so happy we found this place.

It was decent. It was reasonably good food, although a little plain and boring. Also I didn't really like the buns, soft doughy like a hot dog bun. Not much cheese or sauce, but it was fairly filling. <br/><br/>The place itself seems boring and empty, it feels amateur. Although I suppose you have to give them a break because they only open a few months ago.<br/><br/>Overall, everything was okay, but I wasn't blown away.

Customer service problems. The wife and I stopped in to order a filthy Philly and a cheese steak poutine. I've tried the regular Philly, but there was just not enough filling to make it taste like an authentic cheese steak sandwich in the past...but no problem, you can filthy size it and voila it's all good.<br/>On this occasion, I was informed that there were no large buns and asked if that mattered...to which I replied, no problem...sometimes they just use a second small bun to hold all the filling. I was told that they no longer would be doing this as the customer was getting a second sandwich for free and that the customers were taking advantage of the situation. Adding to this the woman was later whispering with the cook about the situation with a double sandwich and when she noticed us staring at her, said, "I'll talk to you about it later".<br/>So, in short, we paid $27 for a large sandwich and a poutine, declined the free $2.00 soft drink and were accused of taking advantage of the restaurant because they didn't have the right bun to make our order and had to use another $0.40 worth of bread due to their lack of good planning.<br/>We will not be going back.

New favourite. On my first visit today i ordered a bacon cheese steak burger poutine, ( classic poutine with both regular & canadian bacon + steak) <br/>all of the meat is cooked fresh in front of you, nice staff, i noticed them cleaning the stove and counters very often and my food was amazing, i even ate the leftovers a few hours later !

Great Food !. We tried the original steak sandwich and poutine .......OUTSTANDING !
