Review Moxies - Newmarket

There were not many people so we found the table with ease. Starter :- Ordered Tuna and Corn chips which was a pretty nice. The drinks were all refreshing as well. It started going downhill from the main course. One order was for Sirloin Steak with Mushroom sauce but the server brought Newyork Steak by mistake with no sauce .He did try to recover it by bringing the mushroom sauce. The fries were cold in Steak and frits . We sent it back and the new hot fries took quite long to arrive ,the Steak was mostly finished by then. Mushroom sauce was good though. In the end ,i found a hair in the table or dish. The service was friendly but still his service was riddled with mistakes. The manager personally came to say we will be charged discounted price and they gave a complimentary brownie. The bill that came was charging us for the complimentary brownie and then they brought a new bill which was correct. Overall,the experience was a below average i would say and needs some communication work.

My family & I randomly popped in to Moxies on a Tuesday night & was seated right away! The waitresses were very nice and pleasant. My wife & I had some apps such as the honey garlic wings which were the bomb, the truffled fries which were ok, and the calamari which was over cooked (hard) so we end up sending it back. My kids had the chicken tenders which they said they loved! For drinks I had a classic mojito & my wife had the Mexican Bulldog which were really good. Their white chocolate brownie was really nice as well. We will definitely return! At the end of our meal the manager came out & took the calamari off our bill & gave us a free dessert which was extremely nice of her to do.

Despite us being so late, they accommodated us. The service is great, food amazing and ambience that of fine dining. The bar has closed by the time we arrived, so I can't review the bar but the rest everything was great. The server was diligent enough to ask us if we were doing fine and not too frequent to enquire the same. I would say that was one of the best servers we ever had. Baby short ribs were great and so were the dry ribs, Their mashed potatoes are out of this world. A must try. Apart from a minor hiccup, rest everything went very well. And that hiccup was also very well taken care of. I will return.

Overall a great experience! The waitress was very nice! The food was fantastic! Definitely will go back to this location!

Just took my daughter here and the food is amazing and the staff is so nice and friendly.The manager was very nice and accommodating! I usually come here for Papa /daughter day and it’s always a great experience.our waitress Christine was awesome so friendly and attentive.

I was taken here for my birthday a few days ago. The food was very good, just wish the portion were a bit bigger. The waitress was very sweet! She suprised me with a white chocolate brownie at the end of the dinner. We has the Rosé Sangria it was very very bitter and don't recommend it. It did take a few minutes for someone to great us when we arrived. However, it was a great experience nonetheless. I like that they seated at a distance from other guests.

Second time getting the salmon, just cracked it open and 😍😬 - I asked them to sear it (just preference) and I blown away. Wanted to leave a review to thank whoever cooked my food!!! (All this and I haven't haven't grabbed the appetizer from the bag)

Enjoyed a fabulous birthday lunch on Friday with a friend and mom at Moxie’s. We arrived around 12:30pm and although the dining room was busy we were seated right away. Service was a little slow to start but we later found our that there was only 1 waitress on for the entire area. Luckily the General Manager, Tom was there to help. He chatted with us, explained some of the menu items to us, checked up on us just enough to make sure things were ok! I have often found that GMs sometimes stay in the background but Tom was on the floor, ensuring all of the guests were happy, and assisting his waitress! The food was delicious, we had steak salad, cobb salad and a chicken gumbo soup. I was given a beautiful desert for my birthday as well as a hand written card from Tom and a couple of cards to come back and enjoy a free appetizer! Thank you to Moxie’s and Tom for making our experience such a great one!

Very nice staff.( our waiter was Mic) Very good food. And pretty good prices. We did wait a little longer then I'd like for the food but it was really good when we got it. They are kid friendly with colouring pages and had a great patio to eat on. Thanks for a great night out :)

I wish I could rate a zero! My girlfriend and I wanted a nice dinner date last night (dress nice and good meal) we ordered two steaks one well done and one mid rare. 40 mins later we got our food with no sign of our server in between. My steak was very under cooked (which maybe why I was sick this morning) 3 bites in I couldn't do it anymore and asked the server to have them make another. 40 mins went by again and still no steak. Girlfriend was done so we asked for the bill. 20 mins later I got the bill and I still had to pay for her meal. Worst date night ever which was a real shame because we don't get to do that very often. No offer for compensation or anything either!!

Went there yesterday for supper. I ordered the mushroom sirloin medium well. Steak came to me medium rare. So I sent it back 20 minutes later, when my bf had finished his meal, I get it back but mushrooms were missing. I got it to go at this point. Wait staff was great, but wouldn't recommend to anybody.

We go to moxies a lot and especially to this location - Yonge and Davis - quite a few times. The servers are always polite and attentive... Literally every person that serves you is extremely nice and they keep a good dialogue with their customers. The portions are large, everything is served at the right temperature, the presentation is excellent and the food is delicious in every bite. They are also accommodating to special dietary requirements. They, as well, have crayons and colouring pages for the children, so the kiddies stay busy. I would most definitely recommend this location to anyone and everyone. We will be re-visiting very soon... We Love Moxie's Newmarket!!

Not exactly impressed The waitress was great the steak and mushroom not great medium well came very dry and the steak way small for the price would rather go to the Keg for same price much bigger and juicer Was my first time and im sure my last

We had a fabulous evening. Our food was delicious and our waitress Abbie , couldn't have been more attentive or pleasant. She was very helpful in making suggestions from the menu, after listening to what we were looking for. She came back to check on us numerous times between courses, to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and she continually ensured that our beverages were topped up.

Love the food and the service. Not the first time we have gone and each time it has been fantastic. We had the Mosaic Dip to share. Wow is that good. My meal was the Chipotle mango chicken.....loved it. The flavour combinations is incredible.

This is our "go to" for any and every occasion! Especially date night- kid free! Tom and the rest of his staff at Moxie's in Newmarket are always going above and beyond to make sure we have a perfect night out. One time we ordered our dinner for take out, and when we got home we realized that the order was wrong. Well, when I called to let them know, Tom, the general manager, personally delivered the missing items to us at home! We were so impressed with how much he cared. Since then we won't order from anywhere else! That kind of customer service is what it's all about!

Moxies Newmarket is fantastic. Very impressed with their staff and the service. I have a child with severe food allergies and we were able to eat there this evening. The general manager, the chef and the wait staff all went above and beyond to make sure my child was safe and that we all had a good meal. Food was excellent too. We will definitely be returning for another dinner soon.

Wonderful service as always. Staff brought us a special dessert as it was our 20th anniversary. Waitress was very pleasant.

Moxies at the Newmarket location is phenom! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food!

I worked here for 5 years. I know this is a business but when do people lose their humanity. Their ethics. This place nearly bullied me to death. Used all my hard work and gave the benefits to everyone else. Hope the manager sleeps well at night knowing the damage he caused my life.

Amazing service. I recently had the pleasure of having dinner at this fabulous restaurant..... The decor is amazing... Upscale but not pretencious. I was blown away by our server Amanda L.....I hope that's her correct name. She went out of her way to make sure our dinner was extra special. All of her suggestions were right on the money. Will definitely be back soon.

Amazing. It is one of the only classy non-white trashy restaurants in Newmarket. My girlfriend companion wasn't a fan of the wine she ordered, and didn't think it was as it should be. They replaced it with a few tasters to find her something she liked. Service was, as it always has been, excellent, and food too was fantastic. Once again, not one thing I can find wrong with this place.

Elegant waitresses. They try hard. Accommodated all of our group's customizations and requests with a smile. She was so pretty and nice we tipped her 20%. Must try the virgin cocktails.

Classy: restaurant or heaven??. Best Restaurant In The Area For Client Meetings. And special occasions because it is not the cheapest. Love the pasta myself but they do not do a bad steak either. I have taken three clients there for lunch and we have had great success. Servers are beautiful (I am confident in myself lol) and the food is done right. Like I said it helps if the meal is comped though I have gone for my personal dinners as well. They try hard and dress the part and deliver food that is solid.

Strip Club or Resturant?. I took a client to lunch at the Moxie’s Hwy 7 location. The food was delish, portions were generous, and the service was attentive. BUT, there was a waitress serving customers beside our table and she looked like she worked in a strip club. I though the music would start any minute and she would latch on to a pole for a dance. Her top was so low that her push-up bra and breasts were in full view. She had on shorts which showed her backside cheeks coupled with fishnet stockings, not very classy. I am glad my client was a woman, we both looked at each other and rolled our eyes. She said thank goodness she is not serving us. I can’t imagine having a business lunch with a man and all he could think of was......you know!

The food is great. Really good tasting food that looks and tastes fun and modern. Different items. The food is the best. but the waitresses are definitely pick of the crop. These ladies look like a million bucks. You just keep ordering different stuff because you want these long legs at your table. makes my wife laugh.

Not only did the women look like they could not bend over , because there underwear and other parts would show , but they stood at the bar talking , and it took 15 min for a milk then another 20 min for a desert which was dry an hard . I will never be back

Unsatisfied Breakfast Goer. The eggs Benedict is amazing, however the side of fruits was a disaster. If you order any eggs benedicts, be prepared to have sloppy fruit sides as 'garnish and colour contrast'. Are you kidding me? They sliced half an orange and stabbed it in a skewer with other fruits including a large slice of pineapple uncut from the rind. What kind of presentation is that? When I mentioned it to the kind waitress (she was actually super nice), I could hear the staff conversation quite clearly from the kitchen. We were the only customers in the restaurant, so yes we heard every single word. Half the plate is fruits yet I heard the kitchen say "it't not meant to be eaten". Thanks for ruining an almost good experience.

Trashy. This place used to have good food, but the last couple times i went it was horrible, and over priced for the crap they bring to your table. the only reason people like this place is because of the pretty girls. if your actually looking to get some decent food, this is not the place you should be going.

Sexy blondes in heels and short mini skirts. This is a bit of a belated review since I was there months ago but I saw it on here and wanted to comment. My new girlfriend and I were doing shopping around the corner and decided to get a meal and a drink, we had never been on a moxies and wanted to try it out. The bar was close to full this particular night our waitress made us feel very welcome (and me very horny - you should see the tight black dress on her) to go and sit up there and the service was very good despite her having to make multiple trips for us alone. The waitress earned a nice tip and the bar earned a nice review. I will absolutely go back the next time I'm in the neighbourhood and maybe not even with my girl.

Not the same anymore. We used to come here lots! This last time we will go else where. <br/><br/>We always loved going here and showing my husband all the sexy blonde girls and remind him of what I used to look like. That night we had the chance to be served by a Brunette! <br/><br/>Atmosphere is awesome. Girls in black and good looking men keep the place hopping.<br/><br/>Inverted beer bottle crap was dumped on me. No comp for this. Food was bland and terrible. Temped to go to Chuckie Cheese next door for a Pizza next time.<br/><br/>The new Pickel Barel in town is just as bad. I guess its trips to the city for us again for food.

Cuuuute waitress in a short skirt. I love it. Been to the Moxie's a few times and I can't recommend it enough. Try their spinach salad. Fantastic! Decor is extremely modern and well done. Girls are fun, tasty and pleasure to watch in action. Love the washrooms too. Service was friendly and fast. The prices are very reasonable too.

Good food, nice servers, great lounge atmosphere. The food isn't really bar & grill food. They try to put their own spin on dishes but I dont think it's needed. In fact I'd rather they didn't. 20 wings come to around $22. A "fancy" burger $11. Hostess' will change the tv's to any game you want. Make sure you sit in the lounge or at the bar.

I love this restaurant I try something new every time and have never been disappointed service is amazing an they are extremely awesome when you mention you have a food allergy! This restaurant will always be in my top 5 !

Fine x 3. Three fine things about this restaurant we just discovered. Good food. They have some new choices that are special to them and have taste. Yes, taste. Good drinks choices. They have a real drinks menu and knowledge of wine. And what sets them apart: the waitresses. Total eye candy. Wow, their service is perfect. Even my wife commented on the nice legs. True entertainment. Definitely be back.

I Keep Coming Back for.... Big fan of their food and great Bellini drinks.<br/>Much too noisy most of the time though.
